UNLIMITED SPEED-Chapter 545 545. SHORT WORK
Noah sighed, while the ground burst open to reveal he and the group were completely fine. Their gazes however fell on the carnage all around them before glancing at Noah's figure.
He shrugged and stood, looking forward to his pet. He could sense the pain she experienced, but thankfully they weren't life-threatening.
One of the weaknesses of Erolia's body was her naturally slow healing pace. It took a lot from her reserves and also stamina to heal completely without relying on external factors. She would be in real trouble was she to find herself in serious wounds.
Her impressive vitality would drain quickly even for her.
"You shouldn't have used that spell after only mere seconds of battling," Noah condemned her action through their connection. Erolia sank back at his words whilst her figure burst forth from the ground to appear on the surface of the destruction around her.
"I'm sorry master. I'm still clumsy in my decision-making," she sighed through their connection.
"Are they all dead?" Noah asked already moving on from the issue. He hardly cared about the destruction caused by the expressions of their power.
"I suppose they are," she flapped her wings to ascend into the sky with a bang.
"Only four died," Noah countered, shaking his head. Due to their bond, he received the exp from her kills, but she couldn't receive them from his kills.
In terms of advancing in strength, she could either absorb energy or go through rounds of the pet cultivation skill which only Noah could activate.
"Eh! Only four!" Erolia approached the group, her huge figure casting a huge shadow on the surface below her. Four green cores streaked toward Noah and he stored them
"Yes," Noah responded, stepping on a platform of air, he could vaguely sense three remaining presences. But more importantly, the extra entity that had not been there during the beginning of the fight.
"This is an interesting turn of events," his words unfolded with power and might, reaching regions far from him. He knew who he spoke to.
"I vividly recall you saying you wouldn't interfere," he tilted his head to the side, even if he shattered the sound barrier to sprint towards the eye of the massive crater.
His figure appeared high in the sky and silver sparks came out of his figure radiating violence. A bolt fell on the crater's lowest and central point but was extinguished before it could hit its mark.
"I told you I wouldn't interrupt your journey. But the battle I could." A blue-clothed figure appeared behind Noah's figure, and afloat beside the lady were three other figures. Unconscious. All elves.
Noah's glanced at his left side, having followed that quick movement with ease. Her fist slammed into his face and sent him toward the ground. His contact with the ground spread cracks on a small portion of the crater.
"You see, heir. Unlike the humans of this planet, and its elves or other species in fact; you have no rights whatsoever. We are allowed to do whatever since you're foreign. Even more; a bringer of destruction. Just as your pet had revealed," the lady clarified whilst her higher-stage aura unfolded into the area.
The oppressive pressure reached the group members on their way to meet Noah. They crashed into the ground with full force, unable to repel the power of that aura. Terror filled their minds at that point.
Sure, Noah had revealed his ability to break items in the higher stage, but battling one was a different story. Still, they believed he could somehow survive. But what about them?
He wasn't close to them meaning he couldn't protect them just as he promised.
The ground shattered the moment Noah leaped into the air to meet his new opponent. She had saved three members of the group's leaders. Which were all elves. He wondered why she had let the others die. There seemed to be more going on by merely glancing at that scene.
Unfortunately, that wasn't his main focus.
"Erolia," Noah called upon his pet, and her colossal 50m figure flickered before that tiny woman with a bang.
The veiled expert raised her head to glance at that beast's incoming leg. She snorted, lifting her hand to stop the bird's kick.
The sheer might contained in Erolia's golden leg caused shock waves of pure force to unfold into the world. The event pushed the winds away but did not affect Noah's figure.
He stared at that scene with as much calmness as he always had.
"Why didn't you put all your power into that kick," He spoke even in that tense moment. The lady still had his pet's leg in her grip, she could crush it but he didn't care.
"I didn't want to cause too much destruction," Erolia responded, startled that he had noticed.
"Well, you'll have to," he shook his head sweeping his gaze on the veiled lady. She underestimated them enough to allow that interaction. "She's a bit stronger than you."
"A bit?" The lady exclaimed in amusement having enough of their open mockery. She hated the confidence that middle-staged being exuded even in that situation.
She spun Erolia's figure before hurling her toward the ground. That event resulted in a large crack within the crater and a cloud of black dust.
She threw another punch at Noah, which he blocked by crossing his arms before him. He shattered the sound barrier to shoot backward anyway. Noah stopped himself merely after a second.
Her aura exploded even more powerfully at that point, she caught hold of the middle staged experts in Noah's group, but a bolt of silver sparks approached her figure again. She waved her hand to try and extinguish it. She did, but Noah's tall frame appeared in front of her.
"I promised to protect them," he revealed, calmly lifting his right arm even if it turned to a blur.
Before the lady could react, she felt her world spin, and her back slammed into the rocky terrain, digging through it for tens of meters. Each new depth unfolded as a crater.
She coughed a mouthful of blood when she finally stopped moving, and shock would be evident on her features if not for her veil.
Noah shook his head and turned towards his pet.
"Take care of her for now. I need to see how well you do against higher-stage experts since we'll be fighting a lot of them from now on," he explained, watching the lady come out of the hole her figure had dug.
She heard his words and felt insulted. Still, she felt stunned by what had just happened. Noah had shattered all the ribs in her chest, made three of her internal organs fail, and made short work of her struck muscles and bones. And she hadn't even seen his arm move!
Only Noah knew he had thrown 70 blows in the span of an instant. ƒ𝔯𝗲𝗲𝙬𝒆𝚋𝐧oѵℯl.𝒄𝑜m
Erolia nodded at Noah's command even if she didn't find them completely favorable. Her master sprinted out of that area to meet his group afterward.
"Heir—" The veiled lady tried to speak but found multicolored bolts slamming on her figure with such intensity that she grit her teeth in tingling pain. She quickly shot out of their range to take that battle seriously.
