UNLIMITED SPEED-Chapter 530 530. BRILLIANT
"News?' Elder Ezra frowned walking forward to approach the man.
"Yes," Elder Adonis replied. "We just received news that the elven base at the Orphos region has been completely wiped out." The expert explained as even he lost his composure.
"What! But they had a higher stage expert with them," Elder Ezra remarked, stunned, whilst she began her march down the hallway. Both Noah and Adonis followed behind her.
"Images of the site have been sent to all major guilds. The thing or person that wiped them out must have been well into the higher stage. But the leaders of the city were only middle staged," Elder Adonis explained revealing the less composed side of his existence.
The more Noah grew in power, the more he understood that higher leveled experts were human at their core. Sure they had levels of experience that remained stunning and impressive. But their interactions were still humanly.
Their seemingly divine luster had reduced the more he interacted with them. It was either that or his Speedling nature had transformed how he viewed humans in general.
"What did the royals say happened?" Elder Ezra questioned as they went down a certain hallway.
"According to the story of the leaders a powerful expert had shown up to their city and had single-handedly decimated the whole base," Adonis explained a tad bit shocked.
"I never knew there was someone with that type of freedom. Especially at that level," Elder Ezra commented.
"How strong was the person that was mentioned?" Noah's voice interrupted their words and Elder Ezra recalled that they had been in a conversation before Adonis arrived.
A strange air was birthed at that point.
"His level was never mentioned, Aiden," Elder Adonis revealed. He still felt surprised by Noah's display.
"I see," Noah muttered now focusing on Elder Ezra's figure.
"Will you take my suggestion? I see no reason in being bound by the oath. I can be utilized in far more helpful ways."
"Isn't that against the set rules," elder Adonis commented already understanding what was happening.
"It technically isn't." Elder Ezra replied as an idea formed in her mind. It was one she had thought of many years prior, but finding suitable individuals had been a major challenge. Even if she did.
"I know you understand. But let me spell it out."
"We had been asked then to make all our members take the oath within a certain period. And we had fulfilled it. But he had been thought dead at that point, and somehow remained unreachable for many years."
"He is a loophole in the set rules. No one had been aware of his state meaning we aren't at fault," She explained.
"Yes," Noah chipped in calmly. "The oath does not bind me. I can take out lower leveled experts, crippling the forces of the elves." His words hit the nail on the head as realization flickered into the minds of both experts.
'Brilliant.' Both elders commented inwardly. The guild now possessed a member who stood outside of the rules of war and could be utilized as such. His power was even remarkable.
"I understand. But we cannot reveal you too soon. I cannot believe I'm saying this. But there had been plans to recruit several experts who will work as some sort of mercenaries." Elder Ezra started.
"We aren't hiring them. But rather convincing them into doing this. The oath stops us from paying anyone anything to fight against the elves. Such individuals would be bound by the oath too."
"It's normally hard to find individuals as strong as this who are not affiliated with any major group under the power of the royals. And it's even harder getting them to risk their lives for essentially nothing," Elder Adonis chipped in. His silver hair flowed graciously while they approached a chamber with a big red door.
"Yes, but the few that we found might be convinced if someone as strong as him shows up to be part of them," Elder Ezra replied already thinking of scenarios.
"They feel anger towards the elves, but also require an assurance that they won't be abandoned."
"I won't abandon anyone. I can also protect as many experts under my watch," Noah revealed whilst they walked past the big red door that parted the moment they reached two meters from it.
A nice orange room unfolded in his eyes at that point, it featured a series of couches that Elder Ezra immediately sat on to continue their conversation.
"Your words are pretty outrageous seeing as what you're about to face is a group featuring one of the most powerful races on Cregar," Elder Adonis commented his tone light with amusement.
"I know. But have I not fulfilled by other promises?" Noah responded, focusing on Elder Ezra who had been the one to hear him speak about his ability to defeat any expert thrown at him.
She sighed at that point, understanding what he meant. Truth be told. She found that event as a way to get rid of him if he proved to be real trouble. He was a valuable member, but things could go south quickly. If he survived the first few missions then she would have a change of heart.
"Whether or not you can deliver. I will be deploying you into that field. But you'll have to meet up with the said experts," Elder Ezra moved straight to the point. ƒ𝘳𝗲𝑒𝒘𝐞𝚋𝚗𝐨v𝘦l.𝒄o𝐦
"They dwell in a region within the clouds, cutting them away from the events that occur within the city. In short, they've not seen your power."
"We don't feed them anything to not trigger the oath. I simply invited them to stay."
"Will I have to fight again? Don't you people get tired of it?" Noah shook his head even if he remained unbothered by the reality of his situation.
"We can postpone the meeting to a few days. I have other things to deal with," Elder Ezra glanced at Adonis who nodded In understanding.
"Like the upcoming raid upon an elven base," Noah revealed his knowledge about that topic, and both experts turned cold.
"I found out when I questioned an elf on my way here." Stated Noah, surprising both experts. If only they knew just how much more he did. He decided not to mention it though. He saw no reason for such. He would get what he wanted how ever way.
