Unique Gamers Travels-Chapter 202 - 198: The Filmmaker
Chapter 202 - 198: The Filmmaker
[3rd POV]
Sitting on the side watching as the Legends began to fight it out with Merlyn and Darhk, Talia was genuinely thinking over the Negative Speed Force. It was an important thing to her, as she knew that it would not only boost her power massively, but it would also likely give her entirely new, and unique powers. A combination of the Speed Force and Negative speed force would be unprecedented, and would bring forth an entirely new type of power.
The two forces were the exact opposite of one another, and would normally never work together, but Talia was a rather unique force, so she had no idea if it would actually work or not, but she was excited to see.
Talia was cut off from her thoughts regarding the negative speed force, as she heard sirens begin to approach, as the police began to arrive on the scene. They had gotten calls about the attack in the back, and had come to investigate. Talia was a little surprised at how quickly they had gotten there, but she suspected that they had been nearby.
'God I need to talk to Sara about her leading, because what in the hell was that' Talia thought, as she had been forced to watch them struggle to take down two men, while there was like...5 of them. One of which had powers that allowed him to turn into metal.
Hearing the sirens, Sara turned to the group and yelled "Fall back!"
'Definitely need to talk to her' Talia thought with a sigh, as she walked after them, none of the cops even paying attention to her, as she walked off with the group, deciding to give Sara a serious talk about her leading.

Back at the waverider a little later, the group was walking through it's halls.
"Well, that went apocalyptically awful" Ray said bluntly, as it was the truth. They hadn't been able to get Rip, nor had they been able to stop Darhk or Merlyn, and pretty much just sorta...did nothing really.
"I got Nate and Amaya researching where the police took Rip. We'll spring them, and then-" "We'll find out what the hell is going on with him. Dude tried to bludgeon me with this...non-lethal weapon" Jax said, looking at what looked to be a movie script for the movie he had made.
"Look, we don't know how long he was in 1967. He could be suffering from time drift, which is why he doesn't remember us" Ray said, as Talia snorted, as that wasn't really the truth.
"The question is, how?"
"Well, he could have time-scattered himself like he did with us" Ray replied, not really sure either.
"Nah, he sent us his final message after scattering us. He wouldn't have been able to use it for a second time" Jax cut in, shaking his head at the idea, as it didn't add up.
"Well he got here somehow and so did Darhk and Merlyn" "The Legion of Doom" "I'm not calling them that. But if they came to 1967 looking for Rip, that means-"
"The medallion must have led them here. Rip...has the spear of Destiny" Ray finished, eyes wide as he realized why they were after Rip in the first place.
"We have to bust him out of jail before they get to him first"
"Before that, I need to speak with you Sara, alone" Talia said, as Sara looked at her, before slowly nodding as they got up and walked off to a private room.
"What is it you wanted to talk about?" Sara asked, as Talia sighed.
"Your leading Sara, that "Fight" back there? That could have been easily finished if you had properly given out orders to the rest of the group instead of just jumping straight into the fight. You need to learn how to actually lead this group, and how to fight in a group" Talia replied, as Sara frowned.
"My leading isn't-" "Sara, you told them to "Attack" and to "Charge". You didn't have any sort of prior plan in case they were there. You didn't tell Nate how to best attack them with his powers, you didn't do any of that. You told them to attack, and then charged in alone. I mean no offense when I'm saying this Sara, but that? That isn't leading" Talia cut her off, as Sara listened to her, she wanted to get angry but...she knew that Talia was right.
"So after we finish this whole...ordeal, I'll help you learn how to lead properly this time" Talia added, as Sara looked at her before nodding slowly in understanding.
"For now, let's get back in there and get this done with" Talia said, as Sara nodded along, as they walked off.

After the group had gotten Rip back, which Talia sat out on, and Ray and Nate began to notice changes in their mind, Talia found herself in the office with the others, talking about a very important man to her.
"Apparently Mr Lucas is an aberration" Amaya spoke, as she covered what had happened. As at Rip's set, one of his "Interns" was in fact, a VERY important man, and one of the greatest filmmakers of all time.
"He's not the aberration. The Legion of Doom scaring him is the aberration" "An aberration that directly affects our lives" Nate ends for Ray, raising his voice a little.
"Okay, calm down. Take it back" Sara said to Amaya who began.
"Gideon thinks that the Legion's attack on Mr Hunter's film set caused this George Lucas guy to quit movie making. As a result he never made some movie about space battles and another one about an improbably handsome archaeologist"
"And we care about this because?"
"In the unaltered timeline, Dr Palmer sees "Star Wars" as a child, and is inspired to become an inventor. Likewise, Dr Heywood chooses to be a Historian after seeing "Indiana Jones" instead of becoming a yoga instructor" Gideon answered.
"Wait, so you're telling me that because some film geek drops out of school, my inventor and historian are now essentially useless?" "Yes" Nate said nodding.
"We need to fix this, now"
"I fear you may already be too late. As of today, George Lucas is not longer enrolled in film school"
"He's not just some "Film Geek" Sara, he's one of the greatest filmmakers to ever live. A man who literally inspires generations to come to pursue the art of filmmaking, or science" Talia explained, as Sara snorted.
"And you like him too?"
"Star Wars is one of my favorite franchises of all time, Sara. That, and I know just how important that man is. Afterall, you do remember that I do not come from this multiverse, correct?' Talia replied, a small amusing smirk on her face as Sara looked at her in confusion.
"Ah you won't get it until the aberration is finished. I'll send these three off so they can go and talk with the man, while I will be relaxing in my room" Talia said, as she looked at the three of them and nodded, flicking her wrist as they were teleported off.
She would meet the man in person, just not right now, as she gave Sara another nod, and walked off.

Later, Talia felt as the ship rapidly began to fly, approaching what looked to be a large landfill of sorts. 'Looks like they're beginning to realize that I can't change certain events' Talia thought, pleased that they began to understand what she meant by "Changing things". She could aid them, mentor them, and help them, but she couldn't change a lot of these events, not without risking the lives of a lot of people in the future, like their lovers, friends, and family that would eventually come across their path.
Watching as the team began to struggle as Thawne showed up, Talia smirked and got to her feet, disappearing with a blur of speed, and reappearing in the landfill they were at.
"You know, I'd really suggest you run along now, speedster, lest I have to get involved" Talia spoke out loud, as they all turned to her in surprise, Thawne growling in anger at the sight of her.
Seeing him begin to move towards her, she just smirked slightly as she raised her hands in a very familiar manner, as a young man watched on the side in awe, as lightning began to arc out of her fingertips, launching Thawne back to where his fellow members of the Legion of Doom were, a groan of pain escaping his lips.

"Was that-?" Ray whispered, as he recognized that power from anywhere, before listening in as Talia began to speak out loud.
"I'd suggest you run now" Talia said simply, as she stared Thawne down as he grit his teeth, before disappearing in a blur of lightning, as his "Friends" disappeared alongside him, Rip Hunter, who was coming to help, also being taken.
Turning to the awed group, Talia ignored them as she walked to the young George Lucas, the creator of one of the best Sci Fi movies of all time, and spoke out loud one singular, very important sentence, and that was...
"...Don't sell to Disney"

That's the end of the Chapter!
This was...a bit of a hard Chapter to write to be honest, as Talia didn't really involve herself in most of it. She'll be doing a lot more mentoring in the next couple of Chapters, especially with Jax, Sara, Nate, and Ray.
Not sure about the quality, as I'm like half awake when writing this (Early in the morning).
Anyways, have a good day!
