While Dilan remained seated in the earthen chair, he didn't do nothing. He scanned his surroundings, summoned air bullets, and killed the enemies his attacks didn't kill.

Cleanly killing over a million enemies with only tens of thousands of bolts of lightning might be something to applaud but there were always a few escapees. They finished off neatly, leaving no one behind but the three Tier-5 Rasnian and Ligrav.

"I…I'm sorry to interrupt you…but…who are you?" While thousands of mighty human Ascenders and monsters kept as much distance to Dilan and the devastation of the battlefield as possible, the Lesser Lightning Dragon, Saxiel, and his Master, Siegfried Mekaz approached both.

Saxiel landed on the ground, where the remnants of the lightning bolts zapped over the surface. The electric currents zapped through Saxiel's body, demonstrating to him clearly how powerful the stranger's bolts of lightning had been.

The Lesser Lightning Dragon was certain that he could summon ten or twenty bolts of lightning at the same time as long as he used the entire mana that was hoarded inside his body…but that was already it.

The Mythical Creature looked at Dilan as if he were the actual monsters, hidden behind a gently smiling young human's face.

"Lara is your mother, right?" Dilan asked all of a sudden, his expression changing completely whenever he looked at the young man, Siegfried.

There was a gentleness in his expression and sincerity in his smile that couldn't be described easily.

Comparing this with the cruelty and terror he brought down on a huge army of their mortal enemies was something neither Siegfried nor Saxiel could cope with easily.

"My mother's name is Lara…yes…Lara Cier-Mekaz…" Siegfried answered, slowly so as to not offend Dilan.

However, it was already too late because Dilan clicked his tongue when Siegfried mentioned the name of his mother's second family name.

"Why would she accept the family name of that ignorant fool?" Dilan mumbled, starting to scratch the back of his head in frustration.

"Did Clark get any better, or is he still a failure of a human being?"

Siegfried grimaced when the stranger opposite him called his father a failure of a human being and his cheeks turned a little bit red.

"My father is a strong man, and he made sure that all of us survive in the torrents of Milarn's Fourth Awakening!!" He shouted out loud, just to cover his mouth with his hands when he recalled what Dilan had done to over a million Ascenders, with a single wave of attacks, at that.

"Calm down, little guy. Your father must have gotten a stronger man after the Fourth Awakening, or probably after you've been born. I was just joking…it's not like I would ever accept the failure of a human being as my sister's husband, no matter how much she loves him," Dilan said while motioning his hands.

He indicated to Siegfried to calm down. At the same time, he pointed at the humans and flying monsters that didn't dare to come down.

"Tell them to get their act together and to start collecting the Essence crystals," Dilan said calmly before he manifested another earthen chair right next to him, "As for you, I want to get a proper look at my nephew!"

Dilan knew that he was a little bit weird right now but he didn't expect that his first encounter would be with his nephew, let alone that his nephew would be a rather powerful Ascender at the peak of the third Tier.

The Lesser Lightning Dragon, whom Siegfried had formed a unit with, was also quite powerful. He was in the lower range of the fourth Tier. 𝗳𝗿𝐞ℯ𝙬𝗲𝗯n𝗼νel.𝒄𝑜𝘮

"My mother…is your sister…and I'm your nephew?... Doesn't that mean you are…but…you…that cannot be?" Siegfried lost his ability to speak. His tongue was twisted and he felt utterly incapable of forming a proper thought.

Siegfried squinted his eyes looking at Dilan. He sized him up from head to toe before he seemed to enter deep thoughts. Unfortunately, it was still not possible for him to form a proper thought because his head was still in the middle of a fearsome battle against the Rasnian and Ligrav.

Everyone on the battlefield had known that their chances to come out victorious were little. This was especially the case since the strongest Ascenders of the first generation had been busy fending off the most gruesome opponent on the other battlefields.

"I am Dilan Cier, your Uncle, yes. And yeah, I'm still alive, at least, I believe so," Dilan tried to crack a joke at the end but his nephew didn't start laughing, understandably. f𝓇𝘦e𝑤𝘦𝚋𝒏૦ѵℯ𝒍.c𝐨𝒎

"Sir.., I mean Uncle…or should I say Sir? Well, whatever….we need to rescue the others!!!" Siegfried suddenly shouted, gawky, not sure how to call Dilan.

Dilan looked deep into the quivering eyes of his nephew and he couldn't help but smile lightly.

"There is no time to smile at me so calmly. We need to rescue our Lord, and my aunts and uncles!! Aren't they your friends, and loved ones?!?" Siegfried Mekaz shouted out loud. He jumped up from the earthen chair, destroying it.

Dilan could only sigh in return, restoring the earthen chair with a wave of his hands.

"I've already sent out my Elemental Spirits to take a look at the situation all over the Shikan Plains. The other armies returned, including the fatass, I presume to be the Sun God. I've never expected him to be a Lesser God, a weak one at that… to think that he was not even able to fight head-on against a bunch of Demi Gods…" Dilan shook his head as if he was disappointed at the combat prowess of the Sun God.

However, deep down he was excited. The Advanced Spirits he had summoned told him about a Red Dragon, a Necromancer, a Crimson Ice-wielding Maniac, a Thunder Goddess, and so on.

"They're already Demi Gods, but I guess that was to be expected considering that they had 27 years to increase their strength…it's just good that they're all alive and well," Dilan was satisfied with what the Advanced Spirit showed him and he de-summoned it.

Yet, just when he wanted to avert his focus to his nephew did Dilan sense that Rory accessed their connection.

"Buddy, looks like your Lord is coming. If you want, I can give you the credits for a few kills," Dilan joked toward the Lesser Lightning Dragon, who seemed to be drunk from all the electric currents that swirled in his direction.

"They're fine? Are you sure? All of them?" Siegfried bombarded Dilan with dozens of questions, and it looked like he wouldn't believe his own uncle until he saw it with his own eyes.

Thus, Dilan did the only thing a good –the best– Uncle would do.

He grasped Siegfried's shoulders, and forced him to turn around before grasping his head tightly.

"Open the eyes that see what mortals cannot fathom!" Dilan announced while inserting a tremendous amount of neutral mana inside his nephew's head, his eyes, to be precise.

He circulated them precisely, increasing his sight while activating his Mystic Eyes, temporarily.

"I…I can see them!!" Siegfried screamed at the top of his lungs, just for Dilan to nod his head nonchalantly.

"Of course, you can, you're not blind, after all!"
