Raising her eyes to glance at Gu Feimo, Ye Shushu pursed her lips, turned on the flashlight on her phone, and directed it at his broad back.

"Let’s wait. The elevator at the hospital has malfunctioned. Someone should notice soon," Gu Feimo said calmly.

In the instant he turned around, Ye Shushu immediately turned off her phone’s flashlight.

She didn’t want to see him, just didn’t want to, for no reason.

Standing face to face, Ye Shushu kept her head lowered, unsure if the person in front of her was looking at her.

After five minutes, there was still no sign of movement outside.

Perhaps it was psychological, but Ye Shushu’s breathing began to become somewhat labored.

She looked up at the man for a moment, noticing that he seemed to be looking at her too. Before the awkwardness could settle, she swiftly lowered her head again.

"Your... situation has nothing to do with me?" She raised her eyes to glare at him.

"Do you think there’s no connection?" Gu Feimo reached out a large hand, placing it under her chin.

Ye Shushu frowned, turning her head to avoid his touch.

"No, there’s no connection between us whatsoever!" she snorted coldly.

"Your family has always troubled me, and you actually say we have no connection?" Gu Feimo raised an eyebrow.

Even in the darkness, Ye Shushu was startled by his piercing gaze.

Her family? Her elder brother, or who? What exactly did they want?

"I don’t know, anyway, I..."

Before Ye Shushu could finish her sentence, Gu Feimo’s long fingers were once again placed under her chin.

The surroundings grew darker, the man’s face slowly enlarged, and the air around them became stiflingly hot.

If what had happened earlier had continued, would Senior Feimo really have kissed her?

How was that possible? Didn’t he really dislike her?

But, if his earlier actions weren’t leading to a kiss, what were they? Was he deliberately teasing her to warn her?

Suddenly, the elevator door was opened, pouring in a blinding light.

She had been fairly scared of the dark earlier, yet now she didn’t want to leave so quickly.

What was she hoping for? Even she couldn’t figure it out.

"Not leaving yet?" Gu Feimo glanced back at her with disdain.

Ye Shushu raised her eyes to meet his scornful gaze, pursed her lips, and lowered her head as she took steps to leave.

The elevator was stuck in the middle, so the only way to get out was to climb up.

At about two meters high, Gu Feimo easily flipped himself out through the upper door.
