Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations-Chapter 1111: No Intention of Moving Out at All
Everything inside the door remains as it was, with photos of her childhood hanging on the walls, various sizes, each scene vividly remembered by her.
The string lights on the wall emit a warm glow.
The birthday gifts prepared by Dad are neatly arranged, each year clearly marked.
Returning here again, her heart is still moved.
All these years, Dad has been searching for her, and she must do something for him too.
The paternity test shows Ethan is Dad’s son.
This immediately brought her comfort, feeling her Dad’s deep love, she very much wants to return it.
Noon.
In Ian’s villa yard, a car stopped.
Vera came out from the driver’s seat with a bag, heading towards the living room in good spirits.
Recently, she’s been staying at Ian’s place, not bothering to rent a house.
"Ian, I brought ramen for you, the soup and noodles are separate." She walked into the living room, quickly placing the bag on the table, "Come and have a taste! I guess you haven’t eaten yet."
"How’s the house hunting going?" Ian asked.
Vera glanced up at him; she had said she was going to look, but hadn’t actually done so.
This morning, she just took a stroll around the bookstore.
"The house can wait, right? Staying here isn’t inconvenient at all." She smiled at him, probing again, then mixed the noodles into the soup, "Why? Are you kicking me out?"
"Not kicking you out, just sooner or later, you’ll have to move out." Ian picked up the chopsticks and divided the noodles into two portions, "You could rent somewhere closer to the hospital, it’ll be more convenient for work."
Vera felt a bit disappointed hearing this, but still maintained a smile, "I understand."
"This portion is quite large, you should have half too." Ian brought bowls and chopsticks.
"Ian." She looked up at him, then changed the topic, "When I go to the hospital, shall I assist you? You always need an assistant, and I’m quick with my hands."
"I’ll hire a male assistant." Ian said bluntly, "Rest assured, I’ll arrange some positions for you; you can choose then."
That was already the biggest benefit he offered her.
Vera felt sad, but wouldn’t voice it out; being able to work at his hospital and spend every day with him, maybe this is a good start.
People shouldn’t demand too much from the beginning, everything has to come gradually.
"Eat your noodles." Vera shifted the topic, "I’ll slowly look for a house."
With her words, Ian didn’t urge her much more.
Mia Lane headed directly to The Dalton Group after leaving the Dalton family.
After finishing the IV at the hospital, Trevor also returned to the company. David Dalton didn’t give him any tasks, but he always wanted to ease President Dalton’s burden.
He even approved some documents and replied to several emails.
"This is for you." Mia Lane placed a tube of ointment on Trevor’s desk.
He looked up at the sound, meeting her eyes as clear as water, surprised she’d come around.
Mia Lane’s smile was bright, "I got it from Ian, apply it once a day on the wound, it’s very effective."
"Thank you."
"You’re welcome. Where’s my dad?" She looked around.
"President Dalton is next door."
She nodded, "Then I’ll go find him?" With that, she turned and left.
Only after watching her leave did Trevor redirect his gaze.
"Dad."
David Dalton had just finished a call, turning at the meeting room window, "Stella, you’re here?"
"Yeah." Mia Lane stepped toward him, "I went to Ian’s to get Trevor some special medicine, then went back to check on Ethan, observed his condition all morning, and made some records. From today, I’ll devote myself entirely to treating him."
