Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations-Chapter 1053: Who Matters Most?
A car’s headlights disappeared from Butler Warren’s sight, and she was anxious... Is this family going to fall apart? There was a bad premonition.
Amidst the heavy rain, the car drove further away.
Ethan Dalton sat beside the stair railing, hugging his knees, staring woodenly out the floor-to-ceiling window.
The rain was getting heavier and heavier.
Butler Warren turned around and walked towards him with a painful heart, "Young master, give me your hand, I’ll take you to eat."
Ethan Dalton shook his head, his eyes devoid of light, looking sorrowful, as if he understood her words.
The Lamborghini sped on the road to the police station, the water splashed by the wheels was half a meter high.
The pouring rain slapped against the car windows, the wipers swung back and forth endlessly, yet visibility was still very low.
The overcast sky resembled a devil, seemingly ready to devour all things on earth.
The sound of the torrential rain induced panic in the heart.
Mia Lane glanced at the speedometer, which exceeded 150 mph. She turned to look at him, asking worriedly, "Could you slow down a bit, please?"
Justin Kingston tapped the brakes, stabilizing the speed at 80 mph, "I thought you were in a hurry."
"Enough already?" Mia Lane detected his jealousy, "Safety first!"
Justin Kingston’s lips curved slightly; he raised an eyebrow and said, "Joan Graham accuses Trevor, this won’t hold up, what’s she thinking? Does she think the police handle cases without evidence? Listen to her completely?"
"Anyway, I won’t let her go again." Mia Lane cast her gaze into the distant darkness, "It’s simply outrageous, I really didn’t expect her to be so shameless."
"The malice of human nature sometimes goes far beyond your imagination." Justin Kingston held the steering wheel with one hand, stretching the other over to grasp hers.
Mia Lane was slightly stunned, turning her eyes towards him.
He said, "Joan Graham must pay for her actions; she accelerated her own downfall."
Mia Lane turned her gaze to him, but he stared straight ahead.
The profound features emitted a sharp, determined aura, and the attractive thin lips were slightly pursed.
"Thank you." Mia Lane sincerely thanked him; he had always been helping her.
Justin Kingston felt warmth inside, grateful that she was alright.
If it were her who was mobbed tonight, Justin Kingston would be unable to bear it; he might go mad!
So, he still had to thank Trevor.
Outside the hospital’s emergency room, the sound of the storm was so clear.
David Dalton thought of the daughter and son-in-law at home, turned around to leave, but Joan Graham held him back tightly, asking fearfully, "David! Where are you going?"
"I’m not a doctor." The middle-aged man met her gaze, "Staying here won’t help either."
"How can you say something so cold-blooded?" Joan Graham shook her head in disbelief, "The one lying there has called you dad for 20 years!"
"Let go." David Dalton stared at her hands, patiently giving her a chance.
"I won’t let go! I will not let go even if it kills me!" Joan Graham, tears streaming down her face, cried out, "Is living Stella Dalton more important, or is dying Sean Dalton more important?"
"Stella is more important."
Without hesitation, the words came out of David Garcia’s mouth, like daggers piercing through Joan Graham’s heart!
Joan Graham shook her head in distress; she couldn’t believe these were his words!
The strength of her hands didn’t lessen a bit, "No! You can’t leave! I won’t let you go!!" She lost control of her emotions, starting to scream—
"Even if I die tonight! I won’t let you go back to see her!!"
"Let go." David Garcia intensified his tone, carrying a slight forbearance.
Joan Graham questioned, "After 20 years of living together and nurturing, is your heart made of iron? Don’t you feel anything for Grace?"
"You know better than anyone what happened tonight!" David Garcia calmly analyzed, she was missing the whole day!
And now she’s accusing Trevor again!
As they tugged and argued relentlessly, the elevator doors not far away opened...
