Twin Reincarnation: Epics Of The Worldline-Chapter 307 Rewarding victories
[El’s POV: ]
They managed to defeat the creatures that had come after them when they started this raid, and they did it in a better way than how we had taught them.
They were good, and they did well in this raid as well. So now, this was the time for them to get their rewards.
[ "Should I do it or are you doing it?" ]
[ "They are yours. I don’t think I should do that." ]
[ "Right. Then gimme some good things for them... you know what, I should give them the holy sword we enchanted in the past as well.
You don’t use it anymore anyway." ]
[ "What? No! We need that for the synthesis! Why would you give it to them?! And in the first place, can they handle it-" ]
[ "They have Friday. Of course they can use it a little less efficiently than you used to do in the past. It’s good for them since this is a undead dungeon." }
My argument was pretty good so he didn’t have any Contreras arguments against it. He had a stream to maintain and viewers to please anyway.
He wasn’t going to engage in useless arguments with me at a time like this.
There was a lot going on since the steam was going good and after a fight like this, since they had to take a long break, one had to put a long Advertisement.
He couldn’t have people get bored in this time so, instead of playing some useless advertisement that wouldn’t give him anything at all, he was having people bet for nine advertisements slots he would have before resuming the stream.
’That bastard was making money even in time like this, and he had to focus on the things going on before him for that.’
Wasting time was no option since he was doing practically everything on his own right now.
[ "Alright, do whatever you want." ]
He didn’t say much and just gave me an upset look before going back to what he was doing until now. This was going to be the first halt in his stream as well as the epic announcement that was going on, so, the people of our world in one side, he had to milk out as much as he can form the higher beings, as well as the viewers.
-Ooooooooooong!
{ "Hello, everyone." }
They were on the ground, laying lifeless, still like the stillest waters of an ancient lake. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢
There were wounds all over their bodies.
Their captain and my ace had lost an arm in the fight, while Master T was on the verge of death because of his Qi fluctuations.
’These bastards gave everything they had for this fight and they came out victorious.’
The way The No.2 handled the whole flow of this battle, the way master T broke past his limits and entered a new stage, the way The Nír sacrificed one of his fingers in order to stabilise the special position that was one of the main reasons for Meletina’s fall... to the way Miss Monica willingly used her witchcraft...
{ "It was admirable." }
There were various reasons why they did what they did or why they so readily put their lives on the line.
The survival was something at the centre of it all, one could assume that much if they were only looking at the scenario from the perspective of the one that had any hope to survive the battle.
’But this bunch was facing an opponent they knew was beyond their capabilities from the start.’
Right after they got the notifications announcing the debuffs that she passively put on her opponents was more than enough knowledge they needed to know just how powerful the opponent they were facing actually was.
’They knew there was no way they would have survived this battle had the special masks that still adored their faces weren’t there.’
The Queen, Susean lost many of her children. Her familiars and family that she had raised herself or had been with even before she came to this world.
’She asked for their help, and they sacrificed their lives for her without hesitation even though she was asking it for not just herself, but to help the people she had only known for a short while.’
Crocs was a mixblood between orcs and trolls so he had unbelievable regenerative powers, and still the way his one arm and legs were damaged, it didn’t seem like he was going to recover anytime soon.
He was a strong person as well, and still, he was in that state because he fought this battle. And the smile on his face, a smile of satisfaction that a true warrior like him could only have after facing an opponent worthy to die against.
He knew what he had survived was not possible without the people around him, and he accepted that over the honor of his warrior spirit.
{ "But you all don’t look too well, hun?" }
They looked miserable.
Utterly exhausted beyond human comprehension.
They knew what they had been through was not the last thing they had to deal with, as well as how there were more things ahead of their path, but... there was one thing missing from their faces.
{ "Let’s deal with the important things first." }
[{ "Cary." }]
[{ Yes, yes stupid master. }]
-Oooooooooooooooong!
Any being, be it human or monster, a creature or an immortal. Be it a mortal or a transcendent higher power that was beyond the normal gods and lords of the Worldline...
If they were faced with a challenge like this, an eternally uncertain battle where they would have had to give up their lives with an uncertain assumption that the person watching over them was capable enough to bring them back in the same state they used to have before their deaths.
They were ready to give up their lives, but they were aiming to get past the challenge while keeping themselves alive.
They were prideful people that weren’t going to fall just because we were looking after them, and they weren’t going to just accept deaths because the opponent was too strong either.
They kept going, went beyond their limits, and achieved victory because that’s what they wanted to do.
Because that was what their lives had taught them, and also what we wanted them to realise from the beginning.
{ "All good?" }
I healed their injuries and all of their physical body with a special Rune spell using
Cary’s skills.
It consumed almost all of my Mana, but it didn’t matter.
I had an unlimited source of Mana, my Cary battery, and I didn’t have anything to do in this place either.
Doing this much for them was only obvious.
{ "I know you have to rest, so I’ll just leave these things here. Treat them as a one time reward." }
They were healed physically, their limbs were back and a little of their stamina should have been recovered with that spell, however, it was nowhere near enough to completely bring them to the top conditions.
They would have to rest and take medications for the areas that weren’t going to work properly just with that spell.
’They would understand that my magic wasn’t omnipotent yet.’
However, they should be good enough with this much.
{ "Keep going." }
They did not know for certain if we were actually behind them and watching them until this moment, however, they knew for sure now.
We were watching, and if needed, just like how I healed even parts that would have been incurable with holy magic, we can save them from the gravest dangers.
[An angel of death stopped by and gave fruits of victory to the victorious before vanishing into the thin air the very next moment.]
This was our epic, but we were spectators in this entire epic so seeing my own mentions in an epic where I won’t be present myself was a little funny.
’It would turn out to be misleading for masses of this world since the world parsed it that way, but we can deal with that.’
They had won the first big battle, but there were many more ahead of them.
This was just the start for them as they knew very well, but they are my dear little children.
They will triumph over the impossible once again and cross all the challenges on their path.
’By the time they are done with this dungeon, they will become unrecognisable.’
They would be completely new people with new powers, and new elements in many of their characteristics.
They would be a team in true meaning by then, and if someone does die during any of their fights, they will have more of a motivation for a greater growth.
What they are going to face isn’t going to be simple or easy going forward, but they will do it.
’With the things We gave them, they should be able to get to the lich at least.’
The first battle was something that broke them completely, tore apart all the ego and overconfidence they had. So, they will put better fights in the following battles.
They don’t have to put their lives on the line when it’s not necessary. The answers to defeating the opponent are present all around them anyway.
[ "How are we doing?" ]
[ "We are doing finnnnnne. The response is very good." ]
[ "Nice~. I can finally buy-" ]
[ "You’re Not getting anything from this, El. All of this will go into the investment funds." ]
[ "What the hell? You don’t decide that!" ]
[ "This time I do though, hehe." ]
This bastard was playing with again!
’I had my eyes on this thing Raz recently acquired that I wanted to buy so badly I had stopped wasting money on useless things.’
We didn’t have much money left after investing it into all kinds of things all around the Worldline, so both of us were broke...
’But now that we were going to get a big buck, he was cutting me off?’
The audacity of this fucking bastard!
How dare he...!
