[Lucy’s POV: ]

"Alright. Looks like they are almost done with their things. Which means it’s time~."

The box opening was finished and we got many things from the rewards that were given to all of us.

The entire event itself became the starting point of our storyline, which I would personally say was a pretty good start.

And, as we were expecting, we also got free tickets to the [Angealos] along with the titles and special rewards that we could have only gotten through this kind of event.

’It turned out to be a pretty useful and more rewarding thing than we were expecting at the start and the rainbow redeeming plaque made the whole thing even more interesting.’

But now that all that is over, and we have to start what we need to in this world, there is not much time left to play around anymore.

The storyline had begun, which meant we also had to work towards our first epic, and after that work on our separate epics.

This world was small compared to the grand Worldline but it was a good enough stage for the formation of the epics of at least world level.

Which was enough for what we needed at the moment.

"Shouldn’t we wait a mettle more, El?"

"Nah~. This much is enough. Look, Nes and Cathy look exhausted. Ras and Rex are trying their hardest but the problems before them aren’t something the two will figure out anytime soon.

They’re just wasting their time right now... it’s amazing they got through two trials but this is still too early for them for the third and later trials.

Even you needed years to get past those stages."

"Well, it’s true. Alright then. Let’s summon-"

"I already did it, hehe."

We were done with all we needed to do here so it was time for the last day of this trip.

-Ooooooooooong!

Our friends, the protagonists of this world, and the figures that are going to be praised by all in the future had cleared the trails presented before them and they had learned new things in the process.

Ras and Rex learned how they could use their original powers without worrying about the restrictions, Cathy learned what she was meant to do in this world, Nessy learned how to use her powers in a proper manner, and Lilly and Leon were now closer than ever.

Lux figured out why she was being targeted and how there was a way to be free from all the shit that she was hiding from while Oak experienced what human kindness felt like.

They learned and earned various things in those few days they were in that dangerous forest. And now, it was time for them to witness something they wouldn’t have been able to even if they had months, or perhaps years in this place.

"Hmmmm? Where is-"

"Kyaaaa! What happened!"

"U-ummm... Where is this?"

"Calm down, everyone~. Don’t get scared-"

"El~!"

She summoned them here and as she did, the test for this round ended for them.

Some were surprised how the view around them changed all of a sudden, while Lux was surprised since just a moment ago, she was running away from a giant snake in the forest.

Nes didn’t take more than a moment to figure out the situation when she saw El and came running towards her, and hugged her.

The others also grasped the situation soon after that and looked around them, at the scenery of the early morning that was before them.

"Wow..."

Sun was rising on the horizon on the other side, again, and since this was their first time seeing something so magical, all of them were stunned like Eva was when she first arrived here.

"Where were you?!"

Nes was overly happy to see El and since her two tasks were all about defeating— killing- the opponents presented before her, she had to kill them even though her heart said otherwise.

She wasted an entire day just contemplating over what she had to do and only after seeing how the stronger creatures preyed on the weaker ones, or how a group of weaker ones defeated someone much more powerful than them, did she decide to accept the law of the jungle.

She had to kill in order to survive in that place, and since it was in her hands what kind of opponent she defeated, she made up her mind by dealing with the creatures that she believed were the most dangerous to the weaker creatures of this island.

She ended up disrupting the entire balance of the island in the process since the creatures she dealt with were necessary for the island, but it was fine.

’They weren’t the original creatures anyway.’

The system created the replicas of those creatures for the testing purpose and she defeated them even though they were several levels stronger than them with her space attribute powers.

’She even got a hint on how to manifest her null elemental powers so she did pretty well in the past few days.’

And after doing all that, she was worried about her friend... weird girl.

"I was right here, hehe. Look around, isn’t this a fun place?"

The garden, the open area illuminated by rising rays of sun on the horizon, the chirping of birds, and the sound of insects, this garden was the safest, most amazing place there was on this entire island.

And since it was the top of the shrine that pierced the very sky above them, seeing the place that they could have only fantasized about when they were down in the forest, was an ineffable expanse for them.

"So, how did you all do~? Did you have fun~?"

There wasn’t much to this gathering since we just wanted to show them this place as an encouragement.

There was also the lucky atmosphere and fresh air of this place, so they could also open the reward boxes or something that they had on them here.

Ultimately, this place was like a reward for them for accompanying us all the way here, and thanks for all the help they gave to our FFriday and Eva and Nes when we were gone.

"Snap out of the zone, everyone! Haha, it’s just a sunrise you’re seeing~."

Nes was surprised by the scenery before her but different from the others who were just looking at the clouds that were being pierced by the rising rays of the sun with unblinking eyes, she was in a much better state.

"Everyone!"

"Kyaaaaa! Auriel?!"

"Ptfff- hahaha."

El even had to go closer to them and shout in their ears to pull them out of their paused states, which turned out to be a hilarious moment for us.

"Oh, Miss Eva is here as well. And Friday. When did you two get here... ah! And who’s that person~!"

After they came back to their senses, Nes went ahead and greeted Friday and Miss Eva before her eyes fell on the person with white long hair in the back.

"That..."

"You don’t need to pay attention to that person, Nessy! Leave that and come here~. Let me show you something more fun~!"

AJ was still here since he requested to look around this place for a little more. And El only allowed him to stay here for saving her Friday.

If it weren’t for him, he would have had to disobey her command and use his unique skills which would have been dangerous for all of them present there.

’They were saved thanks to him, and for that, she could at least have him hang around this place for a little longer.’

Something I was obviously against, but since this was her decision, I couldn’t argue with her this time.

She had a valid reason, while I only wanted him gone due to personal feelings.

It was already bad how he wanted to be with Miss Eva even though he was nothing more than an addict, junky ticking time bomb. Having him around for longer would just make things worse between us.

’He knew he was stronger than us and with his powers unsealed, he could certainly take down us, and this entire island if he wanted to, but there were many factors stopping him.’

First of all, obviously, was the dragon sitting with El’s dragon.

"Meet Cary’s new friend, Faunu."

Anna was working on the other side of the island away from us, while Cary was enjoying his peaceful time with his servant forest dragon, the guardian of this island.

He enjoyed her company more than his ’dumb’ master so he was ordering her around since yesterday.

Faunus respected him and followed all of his commands to the best of her abilities so, well, El now had another slave indirectly.

"She’s a dragon as you could tell from her horns, but she’s pretty cute and fun to play with so why don’t you introduce yourself to her."

"...wait. Are you serious? A dragon?!"

Our time on this island was ending soon.

This was the last dawn we were going to experience here and after seeing the sunset, we would depart right away.

’Anna was almost finished building a teleportation point in this place so we will be able to come and go as we please in the future, and this place will be pretty helpful as a training grounds for the embers of [Fool’s gambit] as well.’

"H-hello! I-I’m called Agnes! Nice to meet y-you Miss Dragon!"

Nes, Cathy, Ras, Rex, Lux... Leon, Lily, and Oak as well. They went through things that I had seen well.

They were amazing people that I cannot begin to describe with limited words, and, there were many things ahead of them from this point on.

’They will have to find their strengths, the things they are good at, and the things they are meant to do in this world in this world after we go back.’

We might not meet them often, but our paths will inevitably cross on many points from now on.

"It’s possible to clear all six of them. You just have to think harder, Ras."

They must have their questions and concerns after their experiences on this island.

They must have realized the meaning of some of the questions we were asked in the theory test of the entrance exam.

I know they might have had some enlightenment as well, and they will work well with what they have right now.

"It is certainly possible."

The last few days were hectic.

From how Miss Eva and Friday were thrown into Hades, to what they went through, to what kind of pain El had to endure for Miss Eva, and to the point I got this plaque and the start of the core storyline... this island gave us quite a few things.

Some were good...

"Miss Eva, can you help me set up a table for breakfast?"

"Oh, sure! I will be there in a minute, Lu!"

While some weren’t desirable.

"I think I have seen that person somewhere-"

"Lily? Is something wrong?"

"Ah, princess. No. I was just spaced out for a moment there."

Some things were fearful.

While some of the things that happened were for the better.

"Friday!"

"Yes mother-, master!"

All the things that happened, all the things that people present here right now experienced, all the things that we went through independently are impossible to understand when seeing from a linear perspective.

Every second passed differently for everyone.

And it wasn’t simple in any way.

’Some were hurt, some were injured, some even had to experience a kind of mental pain they had never expected in their lifetimes.’

But, in the end, all of it wasn’t for nothing.

"So, Lucifer. Can I help with anything?"

"Hmm? Oh, Lux. Sure... can you please arrange the tables?"

"Sure."

Some things were earned.

Some bonds were formed.

Some doubts were cleared.

[{ Dumb master! I don’t want to anywhere! }]

"It’s a personal thing, dummy. Just leave us for a moment. Friday?"

[{ I am your private thing as well! I will stay! }]

Some things were lost as well, primarily what was possessed by our past selves.

There were cracks in some bonds now, some doubts, and some uncertainties, but it wasn’t the end just yet.

There were still things to learn, for all of us.

Things to see and work towards.

Things that were important for the development of the world and our future selves.

And, there were some inevitable things. Progression was at the center of it all.

We will end our time in the shrine of Chiragya, the first conqueror, tonight.

And when the dawn arrives, we will start the next Chapter of our storyline...
