Before Cheng Yuqi could muster a smile, she watched a young woman emerge from the luxurious car. To her astonishment, it was none other than Fang Yuan. What was Fang Yuan doing in Yi’s car? Could she have arrived with him?
Before Cheng Yuqi could unravel this puzzling development, Bo Yi stepped out of the car and naturally took Fang Yuan’s hand. Together, they strolled toward the Ferris Wheel.
Butler Zhao appeared to be equally taken aback. Why had Young Master Bo come here to dine with Sixth Miss? Why hadn’t he been informed beforehand? He cast a concerned glance at Lady Yuqi via the rearview mirror, noting her dispirited expression. What should he do in this situation?
Cheng Yuqi finally grasped the situation. The reason the Ferris Wheel hadn’t operated and no other guests had arrived was because Bo Yi had reserved the entire establishment. He wanted to share an intimate meal with Fang Yuan without any disruptions.
“Lady Yuqi, in my opinion, you should join them for the meal. After all, she’s your sister,” Butler Zhao gathered his courage to suggest, “By going inside, you might be able to prevent their relationship from developing further…”
‘Yes, that makes sense!’ Cheng Yuqi thought. ‘I can’t allow a man and a woman to be alone in an enclosed space; otherwise, things might take a romantic turn…’
With determination, she alighted from the car. Fang Yuan, who was preparing to enter the glass cabin, noticed Cheng Yuqi’s dressed-up appearance and was left bewildered. Was she attending a wedding like this? Cheng Yuqi’s stunning beauty was blinding in the sunlight, and her overly extravagant attire left Fang Yuan with a perplexed expression.
Cheng Yuqi had just arrived at the entrance when she was courteously intercepted by the hostess.
Butler Zhao promptly stepped forward and cleared his throat. “This is the daughter of the Cheng family!”
Considering the Cheng family’s prominence in the country, their presence at this restaurant also served as a form of advertisement.
Regrettably, the hostess apologized, saying, “I’m sorry, Miss Cheng. Our restaurant has been fully booked for today. We look forward to serving you on your next visit.”
“To be honest, the young woman who just arrived is my cousin. 1 also know the gentleman she’s with,” Cheng Yuqi explained. She removed a diamond ring from her finger and placed it in the hostess’s hand, offering a warm smile as she continued, “Here’s the situation: 1 need to find them. Don’t worry, if they have any complaints, I’ll take full responsibility.”
The hostess hesitated to accept the ring. After all, the person inside the restaurant was Young Master Bo, and allowing her to enter unannounced might disrupt his plans…
Quickly, the hostess returned the ring. “1 apologize, Miss Cheng. Please understand that we can’t make exceptions.”
Frustrated, Butler Zhao muttered angrily to himself. He had been on the verge of using Cheng Ye’s status to intimidate the staff.
Cheng Yuqi, her expression darkening, sighed, “Never mind. They wouldn’t dare to offend Yi. Let’s go.”
“But are we just leaving like this?” Butler Zhao questioned, his disbelief evident.
“What else can we do? Stick around and watch them flaunting their affection?” Cheng Yuqi retorted, casting a sidelong glance at Butler Zhao. She couldn’t help but complain, “Next time, you should listen more attentively!”
“Yes, it’s entirely my fault!” Butler Zhao hadn’t anticipated such a turn of events. “I promise to be more cautious in the future!”
“Let’s go find a place to eat,” Cheng Yuqi suggested, gazing up at the Ferris Wheel. “After dinner, we can head to the Bo Group.” It seemed that a direct approach was now necessary. Besides, she couldn’t let her attire for the day go to waste. She was confident that once Yi laid eyes on her, he would be irresistibly drawn to her.
Inside the Ferris Wheel cabin, Fang Yuan was gazing out the window at the scenery when she suddenly received a gift box.
“Please open it and take a look,” he said, his gaze brimming with tenderness.
Fang Yuan carefully opened the box to reveal an exquisite, shimmering pink diamond bracelet. The centerpiece of the bracelet was a butterfly with its wings gracefully extended, surrounded by tightly arranged smaller diamonds. The design was remarkably unique, exuding a light and elegant charm, devoid of any ostentation.
Fang Yuan observed the bracelet, noticing that their initials were discreetly engraved on the back of the clasp: Y & Y forever. Was he expressing his desire for a lifelong commitment?
“Do you like it?” Bo Yi asked, watching her closely with affection. “Your hands are so fair, and your fingers are long. It will undoubtedly look stunning on you.”
Fang Yuan couldn’t help but inquire, “Why did you give me this?”
“I gave it to you because 1 thought you might like it,” Bo Yi replied, his tone warm and sincere. Did there need to be a specific reason to give a gift? If there had to be one, it was that during the blackout at his grandfather’s house, he had seen her collarbone and thought of butterflies. This inspired him to design the bracelet himself and personally oversee its crafting. Despite having numerous production lines under his command, he had never visited one before. Yet, for the sake of one girl, he made an exception.
“Since you accepted Grandma’s necklace, you must accept mine as well. No biases allowed,” Bo Yi insisted, not giving her the opportunity to refuse. He took the bracelet and delicately fastened it around her wrist..
