Tribal Lord: SSS Ranked Taming Primitive Beauties and The Beasts!-Chapter 54: Return to Ragh’Tal
"I will leave several people from the original Ragh’Tal Tribe in each of your strongholds." Ash said with a calm expression.
At those words, some of the newly subjugated leaders stiffened slightly.
"Don’t worry, it’s not to control you. It is more about monitoring and ensuring that no mistakes are made. Ash glanced at everyone and continued as he tapped his finger on the table. "As for the food. You may hunt, but any hunting group must include at least one original Ragh’Tal Tribe."
Before anyone could respond, Ash sharpened his gaze. "One more thing..."
He deliberately paused for a moment before continuing as his cold gaze swept upon everyone present. "I can see your loyalty."
"I know who is loyal and who isn’t. So, don’t ever think of having any ill intentions because I can see through it right away." Ash smiled viciously.
Sweat began forming unconsciously among some people.
"In fact, there’s someone in this very hall who has an ill intention because even after I told them their missions, their loyalty decreased instead of increased." Ash said lightly, glancing across the room casually.
The effect was immediate as cold sweat spread down multiple backs, eyes flickered sideways as people tried to figure out who Ash was talking about.
No one dared make too many movements or even spoke as even the 5th Ranks felt a chill across their spines.
"Who has the audacity to have the thought of betraying the Ragh’Tal even after what our Tribe Lord has done to them?!" Vakra slapped the table, making a palm mark as he stood up and glanced at everyone in anger.
"Calm down, you don’t need to make such a fuss for now." Ash chuckled and waved his hand dismissively, making Vakra sit down in disappointment as he thought he would be able to make some contribution by killing a traitor.
Ash then leaned forward slightly, resting his chin on one hand. "Besides, I won’t point fingers because if your loyalty drops even slightly after this, I will kill you without batting an eye just to avoid any future problem."
Complete silence.
The sound of a single drop of grease hitting a plate seemed loud in this situation.
No one doubted him because after everything they had witnessed about the dungeon, the upgrade, etc., they believed him. Even those who had never considered betrayal now felt their hearts pounding.
After a few intense moments, he leaned back again, and the oppressive aura vanished. The atmosphere in the hall came back to normal again.
"Understood?" He asked with a slight smile.
"Yes, Tribe Lord!" Everyone in the hall answered in unison.
Ash nodded his head satisfiedly in response.
In fact, there had been no one whose loyalty dropped.
He had simply said it to bluff and remind them while insisting on fear at the same time.
Subsequently, Ash told everyone to prepare themselves and rest at least for today.
He instructed Old Ni and Uncle Zan to manage the things about assigning some people to each subjugated tribe.
After everything was settled, Ash ordered Thurgan to stay at the Urthak and Kargor to stay somewhere else in case an emergency situation arose around that area.
Without waiting for long, Ash’s group, which consisted of him, eight 5th Ranks, and 50 people of 3rd and 4th ranks, departed from the Urthak’s stronghold and headed back toward the Ragh’Tal Tribe.
On the way there, Ash finally had the free time that he finally contacted Mira since he left her at the tribe with the little dragon.
After knowing the situation at the tribe, he smiled faintly.
Then his smile turned into a mocking one as he shook his head in disappointment. ’I thought there was going to be something special, but that’s all?’
The reason why Ash had left Kargan alone this whole time was purely because he had told Mira that if Kargan were to do anything extreme that might harm the tribe member, she must report to him immediately.
Since Mira has never reported anything, he had never bothered to pay attention to what Kargan was up to this whole time.
After a while, they almost arrived at the Ragh’Tal stronghold.
This time, Vakra was the first one to notice and report. "Tribe Lord, there’s a 5th Rank inside the stronghold. Is it that old bastard’s doing?"
"Who else?" Ash shrugged. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
Then he looked at Garnak with a faint smile. "Catch him in case he runs away."
"Don’t worry, he won’t even be able to run away even if he starts now." Garnak sneered.
"Good." Ash nodded his head satisfiedly.
In the same heartbeat, an old man in his early 60s with a sword in his waist was talking with Kargan alone in the main hall.
"When do you think the subjugation team will be back here?" The old man asked impatiently, thinking that once everyone came back to the stronghold, he would start his plan and force everyone to acknowledge him as the tribe lord.
Kargan informed him that the Tribe Lord of the Ragh’Tal Tribe had the magical ability to know God’s language and even have the ability to upgrade people’s rank without needing them to complete their missions.
That was precisely why he came to such a remote area despite his background and tried his luck in believing Kargan’s words. He even took a precaution and killed his subordinates who reported the news to him.
He had promised Kargan to become his right-hand man after everything was settled.
"Don’t worry, he must have died by now since there’s been no news from him for hours." Kargan chuckled lightly as he thought that Ash would’ve probably died since he knew that he was trapped in a Red Gate—a 5th-rank dungeon.
If it weren’t for that, he wouldn’t have the guts to do such a thing since he would be way too stupid if he had done so if the chance of success wasn’t this high.
"That’s good. I trust—"
Before the old man could finish his sentences, he instantly turned his head toward the south and frowned deeply as he noticed multiple strong presences approaching at a slow pace.
