Traveler of the River of Time and Space-Chapter 440 - 45: Eldritch, Devourer of Gods (Part 3_2)
Nun Frieda’s reaction speed was incredibly fast.
She immediately tightened her grip on the scythe and slightly raised it. Accompanied by a spread of ice, the black fire of Londor also raged out. Meanwhile, You’Er Xia, who had not been able to join the battle frontally, rushed forward, wielding a dark longsword towards the upper part of Eldritch where it connected with Gwyndolin’s body.
——"Awakening!"
Gulp!
Su Ziyu raised his head and took a swig from the Demon Gourd. In the palm of his hand appeared a second Dragon-Hunting Spear. Golden electric snakes began to gather, and he suppressed his injuries to charge forward, firmly thrusting the Dragon-Hunting Spear directly into the disgusting black sludge.
Rumble.
The entire hall showed slight subsidence marks, and chunks of rubble fell down.
"Gained 1 point of Divinity Value!"
"Gained 30 points of Source Power Value!..."
"Detected residual Divine Power!... Absorbing!... Detected residual power of the [Moon]Law!... Attempting to fuse!... Fusion failed!..."
"Gained 1 point of Divinity Value!"
"Gained 1 point of Divinity Value!"
"Gained 1 point of Divinity Value!"
In the gradually dissipating worm remnants of Eldritch, a very unique divine power emerged. It contained divinity of the [Moon]Law, but Su Ziyu couldn’t fuse with it and could only extract part of the Divinity Value.
The Shadow Sun in this world referred to the moon, and Gwyndolin had once been the leader of the Dark Moon Knight Order.
The residual Divinity Value jumped three times in succession.
Finally, Eldritch’s body turned entirely to ash before everyone’s eyes, but for some reason, Gwyndolin’s body did not dissipate completely, leaving behind a horrific half-corpse at the scene.
More than half of Gwyndolin’s body had been eaten.
"Brother!..." You’Er Xia bent down to embrace the remaining corpse of Gwyndolin, sitting dumbly in the sludge in a daze.
Su Ziyu panted and stood up.
He reached out and picked up a cluster of shadowy souls, then turned to look at Nun Frieda nearby, asking, "Are you alright?"
"Just a minor injury." Nun Frieda shook her head and said, "I just need to rest a bit by the bonfire."
Truly envious of the recovery abilities of these Ashen Ones.
Su Ziyu assessed his injuries and felt it would take more than a couple of days to recover completely. The most troublesome part was the residual poison inside his body, as well as a creeping negative energy erosion.
The damage from the lightning, instead, was the easiest to recover from.
"What about her?" Nun Frieda asked softly, "Her humanity is slipping away rapidly..."
Su Ziyu shook his head slightly.
Just when he was about to say something, a faint white light appeared under Nun Frieda’s feet, followed by the sound of an elderly woman’s voice: "Oh, embers of no fire..."
"The flame dims, awaiting the emergence of the final monarch..."
"Save the Prince, please save Lord Lorric..."
"We beg you, save our lord..." 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂
"Let him ascend the throne!..."
All of this happened very suddenly, and before Su Ziyu could react, Nun Frieda’s figure vanished from the spot.
Disappeared into thin air.
There was no trace of her left in the entire hall, nor any lingering presence felt.
"What just happened?" Su Ziyu’s expression was extremely shocked. He could feel the lingering presence of a Teleportation Spell, but it came without warning.
This seemed to be a teleportation using the power of flames.
Even Nun Frieda herself seemed a bit bewildered, disappearing before she had a chance to speak, leaving only a snippet of the elderly woman’s voice behind.
Lorric Prince?
Where has Nun Frieda been teleported to?
Who did this?
Su Ziyu locked his brows, watching the gradually dissipating traces, muttering, "Could this be someone’s backup plan? Able to forcibly teleport the Ashen Embers?"
At this moment.
The hall was now left only with Su Ziyu and You’Er Xia, who was holding onto Gwyndolin’s corpse in the distance without moving. In her heart, this brother seemed to be of utmost importance, and her humanity had been drained significantly, her entire demeanor becoming increasingly dazed.
At this pace, it wouldn’t be long before she became a mindless undead.
The Divine Race could also undergo zombification.
It’s just that they were a bit stronger than humans, able to hold on a little longer.
"Can you still speak?"
With Nun Frieda suddenly teleported and her whereabouts unknown, Su Ziyu felt a tinge of anxiety, his tone naturally not very friendly. He looked at the dazed You’Er Xia in front of him, walked up to her, glanced down at Gwyndolin’s pale half-corpse, and said in a deep voice, "Do you still have any self-awareness now?"
You’Er Xia looked up at Su Ziyu expressionlessly, without opening her mouth, just lowered her head again, continuing to gaze at the remaining half corpse of Gwyndolin in her arms.
The loss of humanity had already numbed her thoughts.
Clang.
Su Ziyu directly drew the Yirushir Straight Sword and placed it against You’Er Xia’s neck. Even with a sword at her throat, she showed little reaction, neither dodging nor retaliating, merely staring blankly at Gwyndolin’s pale, feminine face.
At this point, if she were killed, she probably wouldn’t resist either.
Humanity was still slipping away.
You’Er Xia’s will to survive was nearly gone.
She was the only living, reasonably normal member of the Divine Race Su Ziyu had encountered thus far, yet she seemed poised to become an undead right before his eyes.
What should I do now?
