The Pregnant Treasured Little Wife: Master Lancaster's Nightly Coaxing-Chapter 150: Keeping the Child for Now
He did indeed go to see Brandon Grayson.
When Brandon Grayson saw Elias Lancaster, Elias was sitting there with a cold expression, drinking.
He walked over and sat down.
"That woman is really ruthless. As soon as she finished sitting the month, she dumped me. When I woke up this morning, she was gone with the child."
It’s clear she despises him.
Elias Lancaster said in a steady voice.
"How can you not go after her? If it were me, I couldn’t do that. I’d rather die than let her leave me."
Indeed.
Back then, when he thought about letting go of Serena, it pained him deeply.
Now, it’s even more so; he won’t let go.
Brandon Grayson poured himself some wine, "What’s the use of saying this? Even if I find her, she’ll still run."
Elias Lancaster looked at the wine glass in his hand and thought about the mistakes he made because of that, and he particularly disliked it.
He placed the cup down abruptly, "Drink by yourself. I’m leaving."
Upon hearing this, Brandon Grayson leisurely asked, "Elias, what’s wrong?"
"Nothing."
The mistake he made isn’t something a third person should know, nor can they know.
"We’ve been friends since childhood, would I not know if something’s wrong with you?"
Brandon Grayson said so.
But Elias didn’t want to say, and Brandon wouldn’t press him.
Elias Lancaster drove around aimlessly, and when he got home, he saw someone asleep on the sofa.
He shook his head helplessly, picked her up, and carried her to the bedroom, taking care of her as she slept.
As for himself, he didn’t stay in the bedroom and turned to the guest room.
In fact, Serena had already woken up when the man hugged her.
What she didn’t expect was Elias Lancaster would return her to the room and then leave.
What is he thinking?
What does he want to do?
Serena Keaton could only pretend not to know about this, her mind racing with thoughts until the early morning before finally falling asleep.
The next day.
She woke up late.
Elias Lancaster didn’t come to wake her, but instead sat in the first-floor living room waiting for a call.
At nine o’clock, Quentin Shaw called.
"President Lancaster, the doctor said her body can’t undergo an abortion. If she does, she might lose the chance to become a mother in the future."
Quentin Shaw had already guessed.
Yesterday, he received a call from Elias Lancaster, suggesting that it was just a trivial matter.
But now, he still couldn’t believe his boss would have an affair.
Despite being shocked, as a subordinate, he dared not speculate too much.
Elias Lancaster’s face was grim.
Does that mean he has to keep the child?
Keeping the child, he knows what that implies.
What would Serena do then?
Elias Lancaster closed his eyes, "Send her back to her place first and plan later."
"Yes."
As soon as he hung up the phone.
He heard Nanny Livingston’s voice.
"Young Madam is up."
Elias Lancaster instinctively looked towards the stairs.
Only to see Serena Keaton coming down, a smile on her face, "Nanny Livingston, what’s good to eat today?"
"All your favorites, Young Madam, you must eat more."
Nanny Livingston replied with a smile.
Serena Keaton acted like she hadn’t seen the man and went straight to the dining room from downstairs.
Seeing her reaction, Elias Lancaster’s heart skipped a beat; did she hear the content of his call just now?
Probably not, right?
He got up and followed her into the dining room to sit down.
He served her food, speaking tenderly, "Did you sleep well last night, sweetheart?"
Serena Keaton ignored him, just lowered her head and ate breakfast.
Seeing her ignoring him, Elias Lancaster was panicking inside but remained calm on the surface, "What’s wrong, sweetheart?"
"I slept very well, a big bed all to myself, I can sleep however I want."
She replied sulkingly.
Even though they had just reconciled, knowing she was insecure, he deliberately didn’t sleep in the bedroom.
Saying it was for her health, since she had just been discharged from the hospital, worried about hurting her; if he was going to hurt her, he would have hurt her that night.
What is he thinking?
Elias Lancaster sensed Serena Keaton’s displeasure, afraid she’d get angry later, he said nothing more, just continued to eat breakfast.
But Serena Keaton had been pampered for so long, she was no longer one to hold in her grievances.
She’s curious, does this man really despise her?
Despise her enough not to sleep on the same bed with her?
She lifted her head to look at him, "Master Lancaster, do you think I’ve become less satisfactory after having the baby, unable to satisfy you, and that’s why you don’t want to sleep in the same bed with me?"
Thinking back to when she was just discharged and this man brought up divorce, she felt he no longer wanted her.
Elias Lancaster looked up, met her gaze, his face showed little expression.
"Sweetheart, don’t overthink, I’m just worried I can’t control myself and will hurt you, it’s nothing else."
"If you want, I can help you. You don’t even return to the room now, every day when I wake up, I can’t see you. During meals, you don’t sit next to me anymore.
Before, during meals, you sat beside me, and every morning when I woke up I could see you. Now like this, I feel very insecure."
Serena Keaton couldn’t hold it in anymore and directly shouted at him.
Tears started to fall.
Seeing her like this, Elias Lancaster quickly got up and walked over to hold her in his arms.
"It’s my fault, sweetheart, don’t cry. Seeing you cry breaks my heart, I promise I’ll return to the room on time, okay?"
"Are you doing this because you despise me?" Serena Keaton cried, "You could just tell me."
Her inner heart was very panicked, very scared, scared that this man wouldn’t want her anymore.
Afraid this man no longer loved her.
Afraid her babies wouldn’t grow up in a complete and loving family.
More than anything, she’s afraid this man has someone outside.
"No, sweetheart, don’t overthink, how could I ever despise you? Don’t cry now."
Elias Lancaster sat beside her, softly soothing her.
Serena Keaton blinked her tear-filled eyes, "You really haven’t despised me?"
Elias Lancaster’s gaze was resolute, "No, I love you too much."
"From now on, you’re not allowed to sleep in the guest room."
"Okay."
Hearing his agreement, she finally stopped crying.
Elias Lancaster fed her while serving food, "How about we go out to watch a movie later?"
Serena Keaton shook her head, "No, let’s stay home."
"Alright."
He listened to her in everything.
As Quentin Shaw was sending Willow Scott to a high-end neighborhood.
Arranging for her to move in.
"You will stay here, a nanny will come to take care of your daily needs, don’t go bothering President Lancaster, and don’t wander around."
Willow Scott nodded repeatedly, "Thank you, Special Assistant Shaw."
Quentin Shaw didn’t say much, he left directly.
He couldn’t understand how the President could have an affair?
Wasn’t having the Young Madam enough?
Looking at this Willow Scott, she’s not better than the Young Madam at all.
How could President Lancaster be interested in this kind of woman?
Willow Scott stood inside the house, surveying the place, a flat on one level, over three hundred square meters.
Her heart filled with greed.
She couldn’t help but internally praise her own cleverness.
While at Norris Gardens, she heard them say President Lancaster had difficulties with offspring, she knew this child could bring her more wealth.
Luckily, she acted quickly and bribed the doctor.
Who knows, with time, he might genuinely grow fond of her!
She reached to touch her belly.
How wonderful.
Sleep through and do nothing, earning twenty million.
Getting pregnant meant another million.
If she gives birth to the Lancaster Family’s child, maybe she could replace Serena Keaton.
Wanting her to call her Mrs. Lancaster, dreaming big, even calling her Miss Keaton was already giving her too much credit.
As she thought more, she got more excited, a plan started to form in her mind.
