Chapter 68 - Of course it's alright

"Don't hold back!"

Wow, he said such nice words. I wish I could follow through without worrying about a single thing? Right now, maybe I could let loose a bit because they were infatuated with me.

They found me amusing and were fond of me, but I couldn't shake the feeling that I couldn't be relaxed.

I might just be thinking too much but there's no such thing as being too careful.

No matter how much a tiger liked their prey, they would one day consume it. So, if I wanted to relax, then I'd have to change my status of being a prey.

"Thank you, master," I said.

I would try to let lose a bit, as much as my conscience allowed.

"So, will you tell me now? Are you feeling suffocated and want to go out for a change? See different things?" He asked. "It is to my understanding that you never got to enjoy the view of the world or even eat at a restaurant comfortably because you were always chased by your debtors."

I nodded.

"So, you never got to relax while walking down the street either. It's must've been hard for you."

Yeah, it was hard for Jo-Pil, not me. And yet, I could feel those feelings clearly because I was in his body.

The feeling of fear, anger, and insecurity eating at Jo-Pil in everything he did made life very unbearable.

He couldn't even land a job for an entire month in order to at least get by because the loan sharks always found a way to find him.

"I'm waiting," Jin-Yeok suddenly said and I raised my head.

What was it? What was he waiting for?

He looked at me with a knowing smile, and I tried to recall if he asked any question, but there was none.

All he said was that I had the right to be greedy and if I was feeling suffocated, I should speak up.

Wait, he did ask if I wanted to go out to see different things for a change. How could I forget?

"Master," I called. "If you're not busy today, would it be alright if we have lunch outside?"

Hearing my request, Jin-Yeok smiled in satisfaction and grabbed my hand. freēwēbηovel.c૦m

"Of course it's alright. If I were busy, I wouldn't have stayed till now anyway."

Though he said that, I wasn't exactly comfortable with this development.

Jin-Yeok was the least I wished to be involved with. Not just because he was a dangerous Mafia, but because he had a lover.

For me to get so close to him despite knowing that I felt like we were having an affair, even if we weren't going that far.

If his lover got furious and decided to find me out then that would be a drama episode I wish I could've skipped.

But I believe it's still too early into the novel for her to already reach her limit so I guess it's fine for now.

The development with the male leads was faster than it was in the novel but it's not like she knew what we were doing. In the novel, she was well aware Jin-Yeok was fucking a male Omega but she held it in till the second part of the novel.

So, I didn't need to worry about dealing with her for now.

Only, that would've been the case if we didn't bump into her in the very restaurant we went to have lunch.

It was as if the world was against me because I decided to let loose a tiny little bit. Why was my luck so shitty?

So, this was how it went.

Since we were going to head out from lunch anyway, Jin-Yeok decided we should just leave early and look around before it was lunchtime.

I was in support of that decision because it would benefit me more to see what my surroundings looked like.

It didn't help that I fell asleep on our way to the mansion the first day Ki-hoon brought me here so this time, I would be able to see what I didn't see.

For the first time since entering the mansion, I stepped foot outside, past the pavement, and past the front gate.

(He did step foot outside the front door once when Min-Cheol was showing him around and that was when he discovered the library.)

There were a few guards positioned close to the gate so I guessed they were there for security purposes and being active gatemen.

I got to know we were in an estate. Deep into the estate because it took a while before we saw any other building and neither of them was as grand as the mansion belonging to the four families.

I kind of wonder: did they split the bills when paying for the property deed of the mansion, or did it just belong to one of them, and the others were using it as they pleased since they came to an agreement?

Whatever reason it was, I did not plan to find out. Knowing too much was never good.

"You seem excited," Jin-Yeok said and I turned my head, smiling at him. "It's the first time you're going out right?"

"Yeah,"

It had only been a week and yet it felt like I had been living in that mansion for all my life. It only took coming outside to realize it.

No wonder I felt so suffocated.

"Where should we go first before we go for lunch?" I asked and Jin-Yeok looked forward, directing a question to his driver.

"Are there any scenic spots in the area? Any that can help relax the mind?" He asked and the driver answered right away,

"Yes, sir. There are over three scenic spots."

"Really?" He turned to me and asked with a friendly smile. "Shall we take a look at each of them?"

"If there's time, why not?"

"Take us to the closest one first," he said.

It looked like he had never been to those scenic spots. I guess he never went there with his lover. I do wonder how things went with his lover but I wasn't curious enough to meddle.
