Fu Mingze was silent for a while before saying, "I’m sorry for the inconvenience my son has caused to your fiancee."

"It’s no problem, Luqi has always had a soft spot for kids."

"Really? And how long have you known her?" Fu Mingze asked nonchalantly.

Seeing his nonchalant behavior, Dai Shuo replied "We have both known each other for four years, I fell in love with her at first sight."

Fu Mingze nodded and said, "It’s running late, I think I should leave now."

"Wait! I would like to discuss some business matters with you."

"I don’t think I have any business to discuss with you though." Fu Mingze replied coldly.

"Dai Enterprise is a growing company and if you give me a chance, I will show you the benefits Fu Group will get from investing in my company."

Fu Mingze looked at Dai Shuo’s determined look and said "My assistant will set a meeting with your company and if the proposal is good, I will think it over."

Dai Shuo’s eyes lit up in excitement and said "Okay. I assure you that you won’t be disappointed."

Fu Mingze nodded and walked to Tao Luqi, who was smiling as she spoke to her father.

"Excuse me for interrupting but it’s past his bedtime." Fu Mingze said as he reached out his hands to collect Fu Liang from Tao Luqi.

Tao Luqi sighed and wanted to give Fu Liang back to Fu Mingze but could not. She never thought that the little boy’s grip on her would be so strong.

Fu Mingze noticed Tao Luqi struggle and stretch out his hand to collect Fu Liang but the little boy refused to let go.

Fu Mingze scoffed in disbelief at his son’s actions, even while he slept the boy was still stubborn.

Tao Luqi on the other hand laughed softly and said "I guess he doesn’t want to let go, while don’t I help you put him to sleep tonight."

"What?" Fu Mingze asked in surprise.

"Tao Luqi, you can’t do that." Tao Hui said firmly.

"Your dad is right and besides we have plans tonight." Dai Shuo said.

"All of you should relax. I’m only going to put him to bed and go back home. It’s no big deal, and besides, look at him, he is so cute." Tao Luqi said with a warm smile on her face.

Fu Mingze signaled for Xia Lian to come to him and said "Take Miss Ye home."

Xia Lian glanced at Fu Liang who was peacefully sleeping in Tao Luqi’s arms and nodded.

"Let’s go." Fu Mingze said coldly as he left the hotel.

Tao Luqi followed him and they both entered his car and drove away.

Rage, envy, and anger were all Ye Qingyi felt as she watched as Fu Mingze drove away with another woman just because she looked like Yang Meiyi, she was sure Yang Meiyi was dead. No one could have survived that fire and also she remembered hitting Yang Meiyi twice on her head with a big stone. Yes, this woman is just a look-alike and before it becomes too late she must show this woman her place.

Fu Mingze and Tao Luqi arrived in Zhai Villa. The drive to the villa was quiet and whenever Tao Luqi tried to have a conversation with Fu Mingze, he would reply to her with just one word which was a clear indication that he didn’t want to have a conversation with her.

Fu Mingze quietly led Tao Luqi to Fu Liang’s room and said "You can lay him down."

Tao Luqi nodded and carefully lay Fu Liang on the bed, she sighed in relief when the kid finally released his grip on her and was about to leave when Fu Liang heard her hand and whispered "Don’t leave me, Mommy, please stay with me. I promise to be a good kid."

Tao Luqi’s heart broke when she heard that, she found herself placing a kiss on the little boy’s forehead and whispered "You are already a great kid and I’m sure your mom is so proud of you."

Fu Mingze just stood by the doorway, watching them, even his heart felt as if it was stabbed when he heard his son promising to be a good kid, he needed a strong drink.

As Fu Mingze turned to leave, his legs froze when he heard Tao Luqi singing a lullaby for Fu Liang. He immediately turned back to look at her and he found his heart racing, could she be his Meiyi?

"So am I, Mr Fu. You know all those who have claimed how rude I am has clearly never met you." Tao Luqi said and it was then she noticed how close they were. In an attempt to keep a distance, Tao Luqi took a step back and her back felt the hard door behind her.

Tao Luqi took a deep breath and said "It’s just a lullaby I came up with when Tao Mei was born, it isn’t a big deal, but I guess this makes us equal. You took care of my daughter and I took care of your son.

"Right." Fu Mingze whispered as he found himself moving closer to her. For the sake of not confusing his son, he has tried his best to control himself but it is obvious that his self-control has reached his limit.

Looking like Yang Meiyi was one thing but the fact that she had her scent and sang a song only him and Yang Meiyi knew was truly about to drive him crazy.

With his own eyes, he had seen Yang Meiyi’s dead body so how could she be standing in front of him?

"Mr...." Before Tao Luqi could complete her sentence she felt warm lips on hers. Tao Luqi widen her eyes and wanted to push him away but damn! He was such a good kisser.

Without even realizing it, she found herself closing her eyes and kissing him back. She felt as if she couldn’t stop even if she wanted to.
