"Can I finally take off the blindfold?" Yang Meiyi asked for a second time. She was curious about what surprise Fu Mingze had for her.

"Not yet." Fu Mingze said as he directed her footstep, they walked a little bit more before he finally said "Now, you can take it off."

Yang Meiyi immediately took off the blindfold and gasped in surprise at the sight before her.

"This is....."

"Where we first got engaged. I reserve the whole park for us so we can stay here the whole night."

Yang Meiyi smiled as she looked around the place. Apart from reserving, Fu Mingze has decorated the whole place with colored lights, balloons, and flowers. And she could see a table for two has been set with a bottle of champagne on it.

"Do you like it?" Fu Mingze asked slightly nervous about Yang Meiyi’s opinion.

Yang Meiyi was about to reply when she noticed his nervousness, so she teased him asking "Is President Fu nervous that his wife might not like his preparation?"

Fu Mingze let out a smile and said "I love my wife and her opinions matter to me so yes, I am kind of nervous that my wife might not like it."

"Well, be nervous no more, because she loves it. It’s beautiful Mingze." Yang Meiyi said with a smile.

Fu Mingze laughed softly and said, "Then, I’m glad." He held her hand and led her to the table that was set before them, he pulled the chair for her and after she sat down, he kissed her cheek before moving to sit down.

Yang Meiyi opened the silver dome before her and instead of seeing food, what she saw was the ring Fu Mingze collected from her months ago, saying it was broken and he needed to repair it. No, this ring was different, it was like an upgraded version of her former ring.

Yang Meiyi collected the ring and looked at it properly, unlike her other ring, this ring had two emerald gemstones, this ring was simply beautiful.

"You changed the ring?" Yang Meiyi asked.

"No, I just upgraded it. I wanted it to be more special." Fu Mingze said, he collected the ring from her and stood up.

He slowly knelt on one knee as he said "I won’t ask you if you will marry me since we are already married but I want to give you a real wedding Meiyi. One where everyone knows you are my wife, I want to see you in a white dress, walking down the aisle to me. I want to make every one of your dreams come true and I want to grow old with you and perhaps have one more kid."

"You want another kid? Does that mean you are no longer afraid?" Yang Meiyi asked in surprise. She had been sure that Fu Mingze wouldn’t want another child after Fu Liang and she was okay with that but hearing him say he wanted another kid, her heart couldn’t help but leap for joy.

"You take my fears away and besides, Fu Liang is simply beautiful." Fu Mingze replied as a smile graced his face at the thought of his son.

"I want to renew my vows to you Meiyi and this time in front of everyone, so will you give me the honor of getting married to you again and properly? This time no secret marriage."

"Yes." Yang Meiyi answered, tears leaving her eyes as Mingze slid the ring into her fingers.

He stood up and gently wiped her tears, asking "Why are you crying?"

"These are happy tears." Yang Meiyi replied with a laugh.

"They better be." Fu Mingze said as he pulled her closer for a kiss.

Yang Meiyi breathed heavily as they separated and she heard Fu Mingze asking "Are you hungry?"

Yang Meiyi shook her head and said "I have a request."

"A request? Tell me, what is it?" Fu Mingze asked.

"Can we have the wedding after a year?"

"A year? Why?"

"I...I wanted to tell you this sooner but I don’t know why I waited this long." Yang Meiyi said anxiously.

Fu Mingze cupped her cheek as he said "Just tell me."

"A week ago, I started searching for my father and I think if I follow this path that I have then I will find him."

Fu Mingze sighed and observed his wife’s expression before saying "You want your dad to be at the wedding."

"I found a little diary of mom and in it, she wrote about my dad but didn’t say who he was. From what she wrote, it seems like he is a good person and I’m sure he doesn’t know that I exist."

"What if you are wrong? What if he does know and has chosen to ignore you? What if you end up disappointed by this man? I don’t want to see you get heartbroken, Meiyi."

"I know and I have prepared my heart for all the possibilities, but Mingze, I know I’m being selfish again but will you give me a chance to know if he will be able to walk me down the aisle? I want our wedding day to be one of no regrets or sadness. I will always be disheartened that my mom will never see me get married but I want my dad to be there, and if he is a bad person then at least I will know that too."

"Meiyi." Fu Mingze softly called out. He pulled her into his embrace and said "How were you able to hold so much in your heart for a week? Never be anxious or afraid to tell me anything because apart from being your husband, I am also your friend."

"You are my best friend." Yang Meiyi replied.

Fu Mingze chuckles and says, "If it makes you happy then we will wait for a year, but after a year, I am publicly making you my wife, no more waiting Meiyi."

Yang Meiyi nodded as she moved to look at Fu Mingze, a mischievous glint appeared in her eyes as she asked "No one can come in here, right?"

Fu Mingze nodded, "It’s just us."

Yang Meiyi’s cheek became red as she used her hands to trace Fu Mingze’s chest saying "Mingze, you know we have never done it outside before, aren’t you curious about what that’s like?"

Fu Mingze was speechless for a moment before suddenly letting out a laugh. He pulled her much closer to him and whispered "Undress for me."

Yang Meiyi widened her eyes at his request and suddenly took several steps backward before removing the straps of the gown.

Fu Mingze watched as her gown fell to the floor and found his breath becoming heavy.

"Why didn’t you tell me you weren’t wearing any underwear?" Fu Mingze asked as he took in his wife nakedness, damn, she was perfect and he badly wanted her.

Yang Meiyi shrugged and said, "It would have spoilt the surprise." To be honest, her body has changed ever since she gave birth to Fu Liang, and at first, she felt insecure about it but it was the way Fu Mingze would look at her that made her regain that confidence. The man has never stopped making her feel as if she is the most beautiful woman in the world and even now, he still looks at her as if he couldn’t wait to devour her.

Fu Mingze slowly unbuttoned his shirt without taking his eyes off his wife and then his hands went to his belt, he pulled off his trousers leaving him in only his briefs.

"Come here." Fu Mingze said huskily.

Yang Meiyi walked towards him in confidence and was about to kiss him when Fu Mingze turned away and said "I’m not fully naked, will you do the honor?"

Yang Meiyi smiles seductively and slowly bends down.

Fu Mingze moaned softly when he felt her tongue on him and that was the beginning of a wide night in the park with no one but the moon to bear witness.
