Transmigration; A Mother's Redemption and a perfect Wife.-Chapter 439; Honeymoon phase 4 (j)
The man lay on the ground, beaten blue and black, barely conscious and completely helpless.
"A scum man!" one woman spat.
"Today, you got what you deserve!" another declared.
"You don’t want to be embarrassed, but it’s okay to embarrass your wife?" a third shouted.
"You can’t withstand this kind of beating, but you’re fine with making your wife a punching bag! What a pathetic coward!"
The man had heard the other guest call him Master Huo. All the color drained from his face as the implications crashed over him like a tidal wave.
"Master... Master Huo..." he croaked, his voice barely audible through his split and bleeding lips.
"I can be anywhere and everywhere, so long as my wife is there," Huo Ting Cheng said, his voice deceptively calm. Then his eyes narrowed to deadly slits. "What kind of creature is this that spoils my honeymoon?"
The temperature dropped another ten degrees.
Soon, Huo Shen and Huo Qi appeared, having heard the commotion from their security posts. When they quickly assessed the situation and understood what had transpired, identical expressions of grim satisfaction crossed their faces.
How unfortunate for this fool to cross Master Huo’s path. More unfortunate still to cross Madam’s.
"Feed him to the sharks."
The words felt like a death sentence, quiet and absolute.
The corridor went silent. Even the boldest spectators felt a chill run down their spines.
"Huo Qi," Huo Ting Cheng continued in that same eerily calm voice, "make sure each and every part of his body is fed to the sharks. Cut him piece by piece. Let him feel every moment. And if his family dares to question..." He paused, his meaning crystal clear. "Get rid of them all."
He didn’t care about other humans, not really. So long as they weren’t threatening what was his, he wouldn’t bother with them. But if they were...
Well. The sharks needed to eat.
"And for her," he nodded toward Lin Shu, his voice softening fractionally, "handle her situation. If anyone asks, tell them he offended me. You’ll be able to settle her anywhere she wants. If she wants to go abroad, arrange it. New identity, new life, whatever she needs."
After delivering his series of instructions with the efficiency of a general deploying troops, Huo Ting Cheng simply picked up his wife and continued their journey toward the furthest end of the corridor, where their suite waited.
"Yes, Master," Huo Qi responded immediately, hurrying to grab their luggage and deposit it in the room before returning to handle the situation.
Behind them, the man’s desperate pleas began.
"Master Huo... please!"
"Please forgive me!"
"I didn’t mean to offend...."
"Please, I’m begging you!"
Huo Ting Cheng didn’t even slow his stride. His voice drifted back, cold and final.
"I hate men who beat their women. Women are meant to be cherished, protected, respected."
He paused at the door to their suite, Tang Fei still cradled in his arms.
"Aahh... Huo Qi," he added almost as an afterthought, "cut him piece by piece before feeding him to the sharks. I want him to understand exactly what his wife felt, helpless, in pain, begging for mercy that never comes."
"With pleasure, Master."
The door to their suite closed with a soft click, muffling the man’s screams.
Inside, Tang Fei finally spoke, her arms still wrapped around her husband’s neck.
"You’re going to actually feed him to sharks?"
"Yes."
"Piece by piece?"
"Yes."
She studied his face, that handsome, brutal face that could shift from tender to terrifying in a heartbeat. This was the real Huo Ting Cheng, cruel and brutal.
"Good," she said simply.
His eyes flashed with surprise, then heated approval.
"You approve?"
"He would have killed her eventually," Tang Fei said matter-of-factly. "Men like that don’t stop. They escalate. And when she finally couldn’t take it anymore and tried to leave..." She shook her head. "He would have hunted her down. Made it slow. Made sure she suffered."
"You understand."
"I understand that some people don’t deserve mercy." Her voice was soft but absolute. "I understand that some monsters wear human skin. And I understand that my husband does what’s good for everyone, and once I have taken her under my wings, you will always do the necessary."
Huo Ting Cheng’s grip tightened possessively.
"You and your strays."
"You and your sharks," she countered.
They stared at each other for a long moment.
Then they both started laughing, dark, knowing laughter that held no innocence but perfect understanding.
"Now then," Huo Ting Cheng murmured, carrying her toward the massive bed that overlooked the underwater seascape, where fish swam past floor-to-ceiling windows in the illuminated depths. "Where were we?"
Tang Fei’s smile turned wicked.
"I believe you mentioned something about eating?"
"I did."
"And I believe our food is still upstairs getting cold."
"It is."
"Such a waste."
"We’ll order more later." His voice dropped to that dangerous rumble that made her stomach flip. "Much later."
He laid her down on the silk sheets with surprising gentleness, his body covering hers, caging her in.
"Right now," he whispered against her lips, "I have everything I want to taste right here."
Outside their door, Huo Shen took up position on one side, Huo Qi on the other.
"How long do you think?" Huo Shen asked quietly.
"Knowing Master? All night. Possibly into tomorrow afternoon."
"Should we arrange breakfast delivery?"
"Make it brunch. And include those tropical fruits Madam likes."
They settled into professional silence, two immovable sentinels.
Behind them, far down the corridor toward the service elevators, a man’s screaming had started.
Then, just as suddenly, it stopped.
The sharks, it seemed, were hungry.
And Master Huo always kept his promises.
Inside the suite, the atmosphere shifted from predatory intensity to something unexpectedly soft.
After a few heated moments of kissing, the kind that made Tang Fei’s toes curl and her breath catch, Huo Ting Cheng suddenly let her go. He lay down on the massive bed and gently dragged her into his arms, positioning her against his chest.
