Chapter 430: Chapter 430; Honeymoon phase 4 (a)

"What are they saying?" he asked quietly, his voice deadly calm in a way that was infinitely more threatening than shouting. He could tell they were foreigners and he knew the languages slightly.

"They’re using English and French," she said without thinking, still too distressed to guard her words. "They are calling me a gold digger, saying I have no shame, that I’m probably here to trap some rich man..."

She stopped abruptly, suddenly realizing what she’d just revealed, that she understood foreign languages the current Tang Fei supposedly had no knowledge of.

But Huo Ting Cheng didn’t question the revealing slip. Not now. Now, he was focused on something else entirely: the fact that his wife had been viciously disrespected in his own establishment.

He turned to the nearest security guard, who had materialized immediately when tension was detected. "Everyone who spoke negatively about my wife," he said, his voice carrying clearly across the now completely silent restaurant, "identify them immediately. Right now."

The security team moved with frightening efficiency, years of training evident. Within seconds, several guests were being approached, the ones who had made cruel comments, who had stared too long, who had treated Tang Fei with disrespect.

"Wait, wait!" one well-dressed man protested in heavily accented English as a security guard gripped his arm firmly. "What’s going on? I don’t understand..."

Huo Ting Cheng stepped forward with deliberate purpose, and when he spoke, it was in perfect, flawless English that carried the accent of someone who’d been educated at the finest international institutions. "You commented on my wife’s appearance. Called her cheap. Suggested she was an escort. Would you like to repeat those exact comments to my face now?"

The man’s face drained of all color as recognition hit him like a physical blow. "Master Huo? I... I didn’t know... I’m deeply sorry, I...."

"Sorry isn’t remotely sufficient," Huo Ting Cheng said with ice-cold finality. He turned to the guards without breaking eye contact with the trembling man. "Remove him immediately. And make absolutely certain he understands he’s permanently banned from any of my properties worldwide. Every hotel, every restaurant, every resort, every business establishment I own or have invested in. He’s done."

"Please, Master Huo, I sincerely apologize...." But the man was already being physically escorted away, his desperate protests fading as he was removed from the premises.

Huo Ting Cheng’s penetrating gaze swept the entire restaurant with the precision of a predator identifying prey. "Anyone else who made disparaging comments about my wife, step forward now voluntarily. Or I’ll have security identify you through surveillance footage, and I promise you the consequences will be significantly worse."

Heavy silence blanketed the room like a suffocating weight. Then, with visible reluctance, three more people slowly stood, two men in expensive suits and one elegantly dressed woman, all looking absolutely terrified of what they’d inadvertently triggered.

"Out," Huo Ting Cheng said with devastating simplicity. "All of you. Immediately. And consider yourselves extraordinarily fortunate I’m only banning you from my properties. I could do much, much worse, and we all know it."

As they were being efficiently removed by security, their stammered apologies fell on completely deaf ears, he turned his lethal attention to the restaurant staff. His voice, when he spoke, could have frozen boiling water. "Which waitresses ignored my wife or treated her with disrespect?"

Several staff members, demonstrating more intelligence and self-preservation instinct than their colleagues, immediately pointed out the offenders: the young woman who had been openly dismissive and two others who had deliberately walked past Tang Fei multiple times without acknowledgment.

"You’re fired," Huo Ting Cheng stated flatly, his tone indicating this wasn’t open for discussion or appeal. "All three of you. Effective immediately this second. Pack your personal belongings and leave this island within the hour. You’ll receive no references from this establishment, and I’ll personally ensure every high-end restaurant and hospitality establishment in this entire region knows exactly why you were terminated." But then again, he owned 80% of the coastal region.

"But sir..." one attempted to protest, her voice shaking with dawning horror at the career implications.

"NOW!" he roared, his carefully controlled facade finally cracking to reveal the fury beneath. His voice echoed off the glass walls with startling violence.

They fled like frightened rabbits, stumbling over each other in their haste to escape his wrath. 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖

Huo Ting Cheng then turned to address the remaining guests directly, his voice dropping back to that terrifyingly calm tone that somehow conveyed more threat than his roar had, "Let me make something absolutely crystal clear to everyone present. This is MY property. MY private island. MY restaurant. MY establishment. And this," he pulled Tang Fei close to his side with unmistakable possessiveness, his arm wrapping around her waist like an iron band, "is MY WIFE. She is the lady of this establishment, and every single establishment I own across this country and beyond. She could walk in here completely naked if she chose to, and not one of you would have the right to comment, to judge, or to look at her with anything but absolute respect."

He paused deliberately, letting that sink in, his intense gaze slowly sweeping across the now utterly silent room where even breathing seemed to have stopped. "Anyone who has any problem whatsoever with that reality, leave immediately now. I’ll personally refund your money in full and arrange immediate transport off the island. But if you choose to stay, you will treat my wife with the complete respect she deserves as the lady of this property, or you’ll face consequences that will make tonight’s removals look gentle and merciful by comparison."

A moment of tense, suffocating silence followed. Then, one by one, several guests stood, older couples, business associates, people who had witnessed the entire incident unfold and hadn’t participated in the cruelty.

"Master Huo," one distinguished elderly gentleman said with genuine respect, bowing slightly. "We sincerely apologize for the absolutely abhorrent behavior of those individuals. They did not represent the rest of us in any capacity. Your wife has been treated abhorrently, inexcusably, and we had absolutely no part in it. If you’ll permit us to stay, we promise nothing but complete respect and courtesy."
