Transmigration; A Mother's Redemption and a perfect Wife.-Chapter 354; Conducting Auditions 1
He picked up a financial tablet, his focus apparently shifting, but his presence was a constant, anchoring force in the room.
Tang Fei, meanwhile, had settled herself directly on the plush, silver-gray carpet, surrounded by a semi-circle of glowing laptops and scattered folders. She was the picture of modern, focused creativity, her brow furrowed in concentration as she cross-referenced data streams, utterly absorbed in her world.
For a while, the only sounds were the soft tapping of laptop keypads, the hum of the computers, and the quiet rhythm of their breathing, a deceptive portrait of domestic harmony.
This quiet atmosphere was broken by the door opening again. Huo Wu entered, his steps precise. He paused, taking in the scene: the feared President Huo observing from his throne-like chair, and his wife, the formidable Madam Tang, ruling her digital kingdom from the floor.
He approached Tang Fei cautiously, "Madam," he began, his tone respectfully urgent. "This was a suggestion from most of the contestants. The audition halls have been running for hours now.. The participants and the judging panels... their energy is waning. They haven’t heard from you since the commencement of the activity."
Tang Fei looked up, pulled from her deep focus.
Huo Wu continued, "They are all here because of your vision. A live video address, even a brief one, would reinvigorate them. It would remind them of the passion behind this project. A few words of motivation from you could make all the difference."
The idea instantly lit up Tang Fei’s face. It was a direct connection, a way to project her presence into the very halls she longed to physically visit.
"Let’s do it. Now," she said, her decision immediate. She rose from the floor with fluid grace. "Set it up. Patch me through to all halls simultaneously."
With efficient nods, Huo Wu, acting as an assistant, swiftly configured a laptop on the low coffee table, adjusting the camera angle and testing the audio feed. Tang Fei smoothed her blouse and tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear, her posture shifting from relaxed creator to poised leader. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂
She didn’t retreat to a more formal setting; she simply sat on the floor before the camera, the opulent office and the silent, watching figure of Huo Ting Cheng in his armchair her backdrop.
She took a small, centering breath, nodded once to Huo Wu, and then looked directly into the lens as the camera light blinked red.
The image of her face instantly appeared on the large screens across the audition halls. All five venues, packed with contestants, staff, and judges, immediately went silent. The chatter stilled. The bright lights seemed to soften in the presence of the architect of their collective dream.
Tang Fei smiled, with her usual elegant and charming smile of all the time. "Good afternoon, everyone."
Her voice carried warm and steady throughout the speakers in all halls.
"I know most of you expected me to be there in person this morning," she began gently, "but my husband isn’t feeling well, so I had to stay back at home with him, accompanying him..."
She had just muttered her excuse when she suddenly felt eyes pinned on her. She lifted her bowed head and gazed at Huo Ting Cheng, who was keenly gazing at her before gazing at Huo Wu, who was left speechless and feeling goosebumps.
"Still, I didn’t want to miss this moment. This is an important beginning, for all of you, and for us." She went on like he wasn’t present.
She paused, giving the crowd a chance to settle.
"I want you all to know," she continued, "that I’ll be watching every audition, and I’ll be fair in every decision I make, or the judges and everyone make. Talent deserves a chance and not luck, not background, not who you know. Just what you can do and how much heart you put into it."
Applause broke out across several halls, cheering for her honesty and giving them a chance to showcase their talents unbiased.
Tang Fei smiled again continuing with her speech, "We’ve also built an art academy under the same project. For those who show promise but still need training, the academy will take you in. We have professional coaches, instructors, and a program made to bring out your best."
She glanced down briefly at her notes before looking back into the camera.
"And for those who are selected, we’ve arranged hostels for you. Safe, comfortable places where you can stay while you train. You’ll have everything you need to focus on your craft."
Her tone softened a little. "But I’ll say this openly: if you have any personal issues or dark histories, anything that might cause trouble later on, please send that information to my office by email. Honesty matters here. We’re not judging your past, but we can’t let secrets destroy what we’re trying to build."
A quiet murmur rippled through the contestants.
Tang Fei continued, calm and clear. "Once the auditions end, everyone will be categorized, from the best to those who still need guidance. That doesn’t mean anyone has failed. It means everyone has room to grow. So don’t be afraid if you’re not picked first. Be afraid only if you stop trying."
She leaned slightly forward, her eyes steady, voice turning brighter.
"You’ve all come here with dreams, big ones. Some of you will sing... Some will act... Some will model or dance.... Whatever your stage is, give it everything you have. This is your moment and grasp it, show us what you have got!"
The screens showed nodding faces, quiet excitement.
"Remember," she added, her tone turning firm but kind, "we have five halls for different talents. Stay in order. Respect the time and the people beside you. Every single person will have a chance to perform. But if anyone causes chaos or disrupts others..." She paused slightly, her gaze sharpening. "...I’ll stop the entire audition exercise. Understood?"
A wave of murmured ’Yes, Madam Tang’ echoed through the halls.
