Transmigration; A Mother's Redemption and a perfect Wife.-Chapter 32; How did it become our fault?
Chapter 32: Chapter 32; How did it become our fault?
"How are they, Doctor?" He worriedly queried with relief! It was better to get found than to find dead bodies.
"They are in a stable condition now, nothing to worry about!" The doctor responded as he gently tapped on his shoulders, comforting him before he exited their wardroom and headed over to another wardroom.
Huo Ting Cheng settled down on the bed, gazing at the woman who looked pale and dirty and could see the infected wounds that had been cleaned and bandaged, and the boy seemed okay and protected.
"It’s good that you are alive!" He held her hand, which was full of mud, and the nails were infected; others were removed as they had rotten and also bandaged.
They quietly sat there on the couch, watching over them, waiting for them to wake up.
It was noon the following day when Huo Zhihao finally woke up, he took this time to get enough rest as he hadn’t slept for the past four days apart from falling unconscious in that hole.
He groggily opened his eyes, rubbing them; the intravenous injection he received was completed, as well as the nutritional intravenous infusion, as he hadn’t eaten anything for the last four days.
He sat up and gazed at the hand containing the intravenous drip needle. He nudged the covers to the side, sitting over facing his mother as his legs dangled along the bedside.
"Brother, you woke up!" Huo Minghao, Huo Fenghao, and their father walked over to his hospital bed happy, but Huo Zhihao didn’t look at them for even a single minute, and neither responded.
The girls stretched their arms to hold his hand but moved both of his hands to his back as his eyes teared up, gazing at those bandaged hands.
"Zhihao..." Huo Ting Cheng bent over, gazing at those cold and unfeeling eyes that were focused on that woman lying on the hospital bed. ƒree𝑤ebnσvel.com
Huo Zhihao got down from the bed and went over to his mother’s bed, holding those hands as he gently kissed them from time to time while his tears fell down his cheeks nonstop.
He didn’t say a single word and neither looked at them, his attention and everything was pinned on his mother.
"I’m sorry, Mother!" He felt useless and incapable of protecting his mother, he hated himself even more for being too tiny and weak.
The other kids wondered why their brother was like this. They went over to hold their mother’s hand, but he roughly shoved them away.
"Don’t you dare touch her!" His voice has always been gentle and kind, but now, he seemed like a different person, a person they never knew.
Huo Ting Cheng hurriedly got hold of the girls before they could stumble and fall; he assisted them to sit on the hospital bed, planning to call the doctor over and check up on Huo Zhihao.
"Brother, what’s the matter with you? She isn’t just your mother; she is our mother, too!" Huo Fenghao was infuriated seeing how Zhihao was restricting them from touching her.
"She is your mother? You are the main cause of all this! It’s all your fault that this had to happen! Now you are telling me she is your mother?" Huo Zhihao turned around and coldly glared at her. Those eyes didn’t have anything apart from murderous intent. At that moment, he could kill.
"How did it become our fault? You are the reason why this happened! If you hadn’t insisted on taking her over to school, none of this would have happened! It’s your fault that she is in that situation! It’s all your fault! Stop pushing your blame towards us and we did nothing wrong!" Huo Minghao immediately refuted his claims. Who was he to blame them for his own doings?
