Chapter 30: Chapter 30; Mother.....

Huo Zhihao didn’t know for how long they had been stuck in there, but it was long enough to believe that they needed to rescue themselves, or else they would succumb to death there.

"Mother, they won’t rescue us!" That’s what he believed deep down in his heart. He knew his father was more fond of his sisters than he and his Mother; he didn’t care about that, but why wouldn’t they find them after so long? He couldn’t understand it and he didn’t want to listen to any reasons they had.

Could they be intentionally doing this? Was his father finally abandoning his mother with him? He had every thought that they might be at the end of the rope.

"Sixth Master Huo, are you certain that they jumped to this side? Because we have tried searching everywhere for them! No traces at all!" The rescue team notified him. It was thundering and they didn’t know what else to do or how to navigate the place. It was already dark into the midnight and they still couldn’t find anything.

It was better to continue the following day as the weather had gotten terrible, the terrains were slippery and too dark to continue exploring the place.

"Okay, let’s continue tomorrow then." He got back into the car wondering where he had to search for them as they didn’t burn in that car.

"Sixth Master Huo, the girls are crying frightened from the heavy thunderstorms!" A guard notified him as they had gotten a call from the mansion.

"Let’s go back!" They drove back to the mansion, walking through the entrance door, he could see the girls pacing around the sitting area.

"Daddy, we were worried!" They rushed over, hugging him tightly; he was wet from all the rain and slightly had mud.

"All right, I will clean up first and then accompany you to bed!" He gently ruffled their head hair before heading over to his master bedroom and took a shower before accompanying them to bed.

After they had fallen asleep, he got up and strode over to the balcony gazing at the dark sky! He didn’t understand why this was happening.

It’s been three days, and the search was still going on; they still hadn’t found them; the other kids were attending school as usual while the search team went on searching down even to the cliff side.

"Mother, you are already this sick, can you stop digging? I can’t watch you hurt yourself like that!" Huo Zhihao was worried seeing his mother dig the small holes across the wall with her fingers. He was worried that she might never make it out if she went on expanding her energy.

"I can’t sit still and watch you die here... Every mother loves her child, no one doesn’t." She was okay with him surviving; his survival was better than all of them perishing down there.

"Mother..." Apart from tears, he felt he was totally useless! He bowed his head and checked at his useless hands that couldn’t assist her. But he hadn’t realized that they were too tiny to do anything.

After weakly digging, she assisted him in climbing through the wall and holding onto the shrubs that were meandering along the wall. They could support his weight but not hers.

"Once you are out, you can call for help! I believe in you," She shouted from down there as Huo Zhihao climbed carefully, holding onto the shrubs along the way. He slid down several times, but he was determined to get out. His mother’s life depended on him and he had to get out.

He struggled but finally got out by moving faster using the shrubs as the other upper side didn’t have the holes, and Tang Fei couldn’t reach there. With speed and agility, he managed to get out.
