Transmigrating to the BeastWorld,I Picked Up an Adorable BeastHusband!-Chapter 44: 65kg is the dream
As he massaged her feet, then moved to her calves, her back, and finally the tension in her neck, Ningning couldn’t help the soft, airy moans that escaped her lips. "Oh... right there... Weijie, that’s so good..."
Every sound she made was like a spark to dry tinder. Weijie’s skin grew scorching hot, his breathing turning heavy and shallow.
Beneath his hide skirt, his "inner beast" was very much awake and straining for attention.
"Stay down" he commanded himself, his jaw tight as he fought for control. "She is exhausted. You will not be a beast tonight."
After a quick wash of her face with a damp cloth, Ningning crawled under the thick quilt Weijie had painstakingly crafted for her.
"Share with me." she whispered, patting the spot beside her. "It’s big enough for both of us."
"I do not need it." he said, his voice a bit strained. "My blood runs cold. Sleep. You have done the work of ten females today."
It didn’t take long.
Within minutes, her breathing evened out into the rhythmic pull of deep sleep.
Weijie watched her for a long time, his gaze softening. Then, with a soft shimmer, he shifted.
His human form melted away into the magnificent, thick coil of his snake form.
He encircled heer, his cool, smooth scales providing a protective barrier while his massive body radiated a steady, grounding warmth.
He rested his heavy head near her shoulder, like a silent guardian in the dark.
[Enjoy the rest while it lasts, Dumpling,] Doudou’s voice whispered in the back of her sleeping mind. [Because at sunrise, your muscles are going to learn the true meaning of pain.]
The sun had barely touched the cave entrance when Doudou’s voice chirped with an annoying, high-pitched "Wakey-wakey!" that made Ningning want to slap her own forehead.
[Good morning, Dumpling! I’ve been crunching the numbers while you were dreaming of fish. It’s time to get serious. If you want to survive this primitive world without huffing and puffing every time you climb a hill, we need a baseline.]
Ningning groaned, rolling over in the soft hides. Her body felt like it was made of lead. "Doudou, it’s too early for your commentary."
[It’s never too early for health! Now, stand up straight. I’m running a full body scan. Don’t blink, it might tingle.]
A faint, shimmering green light pulsed from the center of her vision, sweeping over her body from head to toe.
[Scan Complete.]
[Current Weight: 128kg.]
[Body Fat Percentage: High.]
[Muscle Mass: Underdeveloped but surprisingly sturdy from all that tuber-pounding.]
Ningning winced. Hearing the number out loud was a cold splash of water. "128... that’s... that’s a lot of me."
She was a bit lighter than her past life.
[It’s a start, not a death sentence] Doudou replied, his tone unusually supportive for a second before returning to his usual wit. [But we need a goal. What’s the dream, Ningning? When we’re done with this journey, what kind of body do you want to be inhabiting?]
Ningning sat up, leaning her back against the cool cave wall. She thought of how the other women looked, strong, lithe, and agile. Then she thought of her own strength. "I don’t want to be a stick." she whispered. "I just want to be slim and healthy. I want to move without my joints aching."
[Understood. Processing ’Slim and Healthy’ through my Aesthetic-Optimizer...]
[Goal Weight Set: 65kg.]
[At 65kg, you’ll be what they call ’slim-thick.’ You’ll lose the heavy folds, but you’ll keep the curves that make Weijie’s tail twitch. You’ll be healthy, agile, and frankly, a knockout.]
"65kg? That’s almost half of me gone." she muttered, feeling a mix of fear and excitement.
[Which is why we start NOW. Get up! I’ve designed a ’Doable’ morning routine. It’s light, considering you worked like a pack mule yesterday.]
[30 Arm Circles (Loosen those shoulders!)]
[20 Bodyweight Squats (Build those glutes!)]
[30 push ups]
[And finally, a 2-minute jog! Let’s see those feet lift, Dumpling! Use the ledge where the morning mist is thickest.]
Ningning looked out at the narrow plateau. To her left, the mountain dropped off into a sea of white fog; to her right, the cave wall provided a bit of cover.
She didn’t want the rest of the tribe, especially the judgmental ones like Dana seeing her jiggle and struggle.
"I’m not doing this in the middle of the clearing." she muttered, her face heating up.
[Fine, fine. Use the perimeter path behind the jagged rocks. It’s private, and the sun hits it perfectly. Get that Vitamin D and get moving!]
Ningning started to jog. It wasn’t a fast pace, more of a rhythmic, heavy trot but for a 128kg body that hadn’t moved like this in years, it felt like sprinting through mud.
Her chest heaved, her thighs rubbed together, and she could feel every ounce of her weight resisting the motion.
[It’s only a two minute jog. The real work will come from those push ups. Pray no one finds you..]
-_-
[Thirty seconds left! Lift those knees, Dumpling! Think of the 65kg goal!]
"I... hate... you." Ningning wheezed, her lungs burning.
Finally, the two minutes were up.
She didn’t even have time to recover before Doudou’s ruthless voice chimed in again.
[No rest for the curvy! Drop and give me thirty! Incline style, use that flat rock ledge!]
Ningning stumbled toward a waist-high stone shelf. She placed her hands on the rough surface, her fingers trembling.
She lowered herself slowly.
Her arms felt like jelly the moment she took her own weight.
"One..." she groaned, pushing back up.
Her muscles spasmed.
[Focus! Keep your core tight! That’s two... three...]
By the fifth rep, her arms were shaking so violently she thought she might face-plant into the stone. Every "up" was a battle of wills. By the tenth, she was let out a low, guttural cry of frustration.
Her chest was tight, and her face was a shade of purple that probably wasn’t healthy.
[Come on! Eleven! Don’t let the weight win!]
She was mid-push, her arms locked in a half-bent position of pure agony, when a dry, calm voice drifted from above.
"The angle of your descent is inconsistent. You are wasting force in your elbows."
