TRANSMIGRATED WITH A HYPERMARKET SYSTEM-Chapter 93 - 92: OLINDA
Alayna shook her head and decided to stop tormenting herself, maybe they were not meant to be after all.
Alayna felt bored for a short time before her kids came online and they began to talk happily. Another day passed like that and another busy day dawned on her again.
As usual business was good and to be honest in the past few weeks, she had made so much money that she was wondering what the system really wanted. she wanted some upgrade; she wanted some reward or at least see a progression of the mission she received before coming to Belshoy.
It was unfortunate that nothing happened and two more days passed by beautifully.
On a Thursday evening when she was about to close shop, she couldn’t help but look at the still crowded alley as people returned to their homes while chatting happily among themselves.
Feeling nostalgic about how happy they were, her eyes couldn’t help but dart around for more when she suddenly froze with shock, especially after what she had seen.
It felt like a dream and she just couldn’t believe it. Alayna stood there as she watched as a certain someone walked toward her with a faint smile on her face.
It was only after the guest spoke that she finally responded and finally accepted that it wasn’t a dream.
"I am sorry for coming late."
It took Alayna a great deal to calm down herself before ushering the guest inside and locking the doors. She closed the binds keeping away the curious individuals who were busy peeping.
Alayna gave the other a chair to sit on before she brought the other upstairs, she just couldn’t bring anyone into her home before knowing what decision the other had made.
"So, how are you doing now? Did everything go smoothly after I was gone?" Alayna couldn’t help but ask worriedly when she thought of the state, she left the other in.
The young girl looked at Alayna and smiled gratefully at her, "yes, everything went smoothly and I am just grateful for everything."
Alayna was relieved hearing that "that’s good then. I have been worried sick all this while. So how was your journey? Were there any problems?"
The girl shook her head and answered, "it was okay. I found a merchant group coming this way so it was very smooth."
"That calls for celebration then."
The young girl looked at the happy older lady and couldn’t help but feel teary. When she thought of how she nearly lost her life that day and how this person who didn’t even know her helped her so much that she looked like a god sent.
Thinking about everything that had happened in these two weeks, she couldn’t help but get teary and tears began to stream down her cheeks.
Alayna wasn’t expecting the girl to break down like this and as a mother, she just embraced the other in her arms and began to pat her back without saying a word.
The girl cried for some time before she was finally done. Alayna didn’t know what to say to her as no words will make the pain go away, she understood that pain exactly as she went through it over a year ago.
The girl felt embarrassed after crying out like that but seeing the loving and dotting smile on Alayna’s face, she shook all negative thoughts away.
’As long as it’s her, then I don’t have to suffer anymore.’
"I made a decision and I hope that I am not late," the girl said firmly as she looked at Alayna who was still looking at her.
Alayna looked at the young girl anxiously as she honestly didn’t know what the other has decided. She had been waiting for her for so long.
"Tell me what you chose."
The young girl toyed with her fingers before looking at Alayna and relaying the decision that was going to change her life forever, "I Olinda accepts to become your adopted child."
Alayna couldn’t help but smile widely upon hearing that, she had given Olinda two choices on that day but she never thought that Olinda will pick the one that she was looking forward to most.
"Are you sure? Because once you are my child, it will be too late to turn the tables!"
Olinda nodded her head heavily to show how much serious she was when she said this, "I have been thinking about this for a long time and I want this."
"You know that being an employee of mine will bring many benefits and you will also be free. By becoming my child, it means that my rules must be followed and you won’t be allowed to do anything that tarnishes both of our names. At the same time, you will be forced to leave this place once I return. So, you need to think about this seriously as I don’t want you to regret it later."
Olinda understood the consequences of the decision that she had made. She had thought about this for a very long time. At first, she just wanted to earn some money and live a great life but what her relatives forced her to go through in the past eleven days made her eyes open wide.
She never thought that she was surrounded by so many wolves in sheep’s clothing. To think that before her grandma had decayed, these uncles and aunts were already forcing her to get married and contribute to the family, felt like a joke.
Her parents died when she was young, so she was an orphan. She was raised by her grandma who did everything for her so she was always grateful. She wasn’t talented so she couldn’t be a cultivator and at the same time, she didn’t want to part with her grandma.
Her grandma became sick when she was barely twelve years old and she spent four years scavenging and doing everything that she can so that there will be medicine for her to drink.
Her relatives were nowhere to be found and they practically evaded where they lived but when grandma died, they were all eager to get what she left behind but also didn’t forget to include her as well.
There was no way she was going to allow anyone to sell her for some silver. She was human and she deserves happiness as well. She couldn’t help but think of the words Alayna told her the day her grandma died and those words made her move.
Of course, her relatives didn’t even know where she went as she slipped away when no one was paying attention. One day when she is strong enough, she will come and visit her grandma again. But at the moment she was too weak for something like that.
"Since I have accepted, I will obviously listen. I have always wanted a mother and a father but I was too unlucky and failed to get them. and now that I have gotten a chance and someone wants to adopt me, I will take the chance. I don’t care about the difficulties I will meet in the future but I swear to you at this moment that I will be a good child and make you proud in the future."
Alayna was all smiles listening to this. To be honest it wasn’t her plan at all to adopt another child this early, although she didn’t mind adopting many. She had just wanted to give the child a job and let her earn a keep for her family but when she saw what happened when they arrived in that village, her heart was shrouded with sadness and uncertainty.
She couldn’t let such a filial child remain among these bad people. She didn’t want to be haunted by nightmares simply because she failed to save a little soul. Of course, she couldn’t save everyone but she just couldn’t let this one go.
So, for over a week she has been worried about what happened to Olinda. She didn’t want anything bad to happen to her. Even if she refuses to become her child, it wasn’t bad to become an employee as well.
And now that the other has agreed, she couldn’t help but feel relieved.
"Okay then, I will take you up for your word. I will deal with the adoption process in the following days but for now, you will be living with me and helping in the shop. Are you okay with this?"
Olinda didn’t mind everything at all so she happily agreed, "I can do this."
"That’s good then."

After sorting out the stressing issue, Alayna finally took Olinda upstairs. Olinda had not bothered much about her surroundings so when she finally began to see the kind of place she was, she couldn’t help but get shocked. How come this shop was completely different from the ones she has seen?
’She is mighty. What is all of this that she is seeing?’
