TRANSMIGRATED WITH A HYPERMARKET SYSTEM-Chapter 140 - 138: REGRET
’I should have cherished what I had instead of being too complacent, and arrogant and letting my ego get the best of me!’
This has become a mantra for Nancy every time she hears anyone talking about the magical supermarket where she used to work.
To think that at some point, she stood above all, she was a manager of such a shop and had all the respect that she would have never dreamt of before. She had connections, people would fawn over her, give her gifts, and so on.
As someone who grew up in a tough environment and finally tasted how delicious success was, she completely forgot about her roots and how she came to get this position.
Because Alayna was barely at the shop, she also forgot that this shop wasn’t hers, to begin with, and she was entrusted to manage it and that was it. She wasn’t above the law and if she commits any wrong, she will be punished.
Just like any other person, she had her own favorite and that little girl that send her and many of them to their doom happened to be her favorite.
She groomed her, and the little girl reminded her of her own past and she wanted a follower. The little girl was very meek, and likable and she listened to her.
So, she never thought that the little girl was a wolf in disguise and when Alayna executed the punishment on her, Nancy forgot that the person she was dealing with knew everything.
She had seen with her own eyes how troublemakers will be struck by lightning. At that time, she should have let herself think fast and analyze what was happening but her ego made her think that Alayna was out to get her and she didn’t like it.
When Alayna fired her follower without explaining the reason why she was even infuriated and decided to teach Alayna a lesson. Almost all the staff listened to her and fawned at her, she didn’t believe that Alayna will do anything to her once she starts a riot.
She just didn’t expect for some to refuse to listen and go to work on that day. Knowing the traffic of the supermarket, she knew that Alayna will not make it and called for them for a truce but who knew that the next time they saw her she fired all of them.
And before they could even protest, Alayna exposed the little wolf and her wrongdoings. To think that someone was so bold to steal from the shop, Nancy regretted her impulsiveness after hearing that.

However, Alayna never gave them a chance to plead for a second chance and vanished. By the time it sank, she was already in hot soup and all of the staff that lost her job were busy attacking her.
Nancy also transferred that heat onto the little girl that started this mess but something the little girl said made her weak all over and at that moment she knew that she was doomed.
"If you had been not greedy and not clouded by your oversized ego, you would have seen the truth from the beginning. Don’t try to make me your scapegoat, you know exactly in your heart why you stood up against your boss, the person who took you out of that hotel and gave you a better job! I know that I am not perfect but you can’t blame me! I just needed some money, was that wrong of me? If you had cared about me, you would have seen that I was suffering! But you never did and you claim that you care about me! you are one selfish person!"
Nancy was dumbfounded when she heard this. Wasn’t this little girl even more hilarious than her? But this wasn’t the time to point fingers at each other. The little girl’s words woke her up, she knew that she was telling the truth after all she wasn’t satisfied with what she had.
As a cashier and a manager, she knew how much money they were bringing into the company every day, and to be honest the money was enough to pay for their salaries for the whole year and even more.
To think that they work so hard and receive a meager salary when the rest was being taken by Alayna, she became irritable with it. She completely forgot that the items they were selling were godly and that maybe the suppliers also charge a lot.
She only considered the sales and not the profit itself. Besides she didn’t know that Alayna was only getting a certain percentage of the sales and not the full amount.
Nancy and the rest who were fired didn’t want to leave this lucrative job, so they decided to go and plead for mercy but to their surprise, the shop was closed and Nancy knew what the fog represents, the shop was going to get upgraded.
She regretted it so much that her intestines were green. It was already too late for any ifs at this stage. Luckily, she had saved a lot of money during the time she was working for Alayna.
What really irritated her the most was that those people who used to fawn at her began to push her aside and she knew that it will never be the same again.
She tried to wait and find a chance to meet with Alayna but she never got the chance. Alayna didn’t want to talk to her at all, seeing the new upgraded shop and new employees, she knew that it was time to leave and settle down somewhere else.
She didn’t dare to stay in Belshoy anymore where she had become a laughing stock wherever she goes. In the end, she traveled far and settled down in another city.
Nancy had gathered a lot of knowledge working in the hotel and Alayna’s shop, so she was lucky enough to find a job at an inn, and using the techniques that she learnt while working for Alayna, she managed to earn her keep there.
The salary and welfare weren’t as good as what Alayna offered her but it was still better. At least in her current job, she learnt to be humble and just focus on what she needed to do.
While working there, she heard the news of another branch opening in Astrid, and regret washed over her once more.
But one couldn’t live in regret and pain forever, she managed to find some rich master who was interested in her. this person pursued her for a long time before she finally agreed.
She didn’t know what the future hold but she sincerely hoped that she won’t have to find herself in another situation where she will find herself regretting again.

Alayna who received the rewards when a mission wasn’t issued was very happy and couldn’t wait to claim the rewards.
She started with the lotto draws and her luck was quite good. She managed to get two more house upgrade cards, two breakthrough pills, and a car voucher.
Alayna couldn’t wait to use the house upgrade cards, so she started with her house in Athalia, it was a two-story villa but she felt like she needed it to be much bigger.
She was thinking of settling in Athalia village in the future, at least in the village there will be other people unlike in the Dark Forest.
The house was surrounded by fog and the upgrade was in progress. The next houses to be upgraded were the Dark Forest staff houses. She used the three cards on the three dorms and to her surprise, the upgrade didn’t take long but everything was done in two hours.
Alayna didn’t bother to go anywhere but kindly waited for the upgrade to be done and when she saw the final product, a sheepish smile was on her face.
The three dorms were all connected and the most important thing was that they all looked the same. The first staff house she received was a bungalow while the other two were like flats but after the upgrade, she received three three-story buildings and they all looked like the dorm buildings she built in Athalia village.
She was left with three cards, so she used another in Astrid and the others in Belshoy and Ciliren. And just like this, the part of the rewards was used.
Alayna took out the two breakthrough pills and handed them to Merita and Olinda. She left the kids to cultivate while she returned to the village to check on the house that was now done upgrading.
The upgrade was quite unique, her villa had turned into a castle and it looked very beautiful. There were extra rooms in the castle and she could accommodate guests when she receives them in the future.
Alayna also took this chance to use her car voucher and she picked a 54-passenger seater instead of a personal car. She didn’t want to be the only person driving in this world, she would at least let others feel what it is like to travel in a car.
She also took out the mobile shop and decided to rent it out to someone in the future.
When the villagers saw the two strange carriages in the village, their curiosity was piqued to the maximum. The news spread wide and far and it wasn’t long until they finally knew what was going on.
And this is exactly the effect that Alayna wanted.
