The day went so well, Alayna received visits from neighboring villagers and some village chiefs. For village chiefs, she hosted them respectfully and offered them some gifts.

It wasn’t convenient for her to personally visit them as she had to open the shop and seeing how powerful she is, the mortal village chiefs didn’t dare to act arrogant toward Alayna.

Why should they dig their own graves to offend such a powerful person? So, what if the village chief is a woman? To be able to construct such a beautiful village that can surpass even great cities, they all needed to be respectful.

In the first week, Alayna got to meet some respectful people, some wanted to take advantage of her, bully her and take forcefully what belongs to her and what they received for acting atrociously served as a warning to other people who were thinking of doing the same.

After seeing how the other people were punished, the prestige of the village even soared and the power of word of mouth was truly scary. It didn’t take long before many people became aware of this new village.

[Have you heard? That cursed village is no longer cursed and it is now called Athalia village!]

[Of course, I know about it. I was even there. That place is simply so beautiful, I want to live there.]

[I have heard that the lady boss is recruiting staff. I will go and try my luck!]

[I want to become a villager there. I heard that they will be accepting villagers, as long as one qualifies.]

[Is that really possible?]

[As long as I get to live in such a beautiful place, I don’t mind slaving myself for my whole life!]

[I heard some big shots talking about it. The information needs to be verified first.]

[How about we go and check it out and see for ourselves?]

Everywhere people were talking and with news like this, it didn’t even take long before the news reached the royal city and sects of all sizes.

Since something like this happened, of course, they had to go and check the place out.

While everyone was in a frenzy, Alayna had been pretty busy these past few days, business was very good and the future seems so bright.

Alayna posted a recruitment notice on the board. She was going to hire staff and train them. at the same time, she was also in the middle of looking for villagers, so she let the news spread.

Of course, she wasn’t just looking for anybody, only those that can afford will live in her village. She had built so many beautiful houses and if she just let any Tom and Dick stay in them, won’t she suffer a loss?

She wasn’t a mother Theresa no matter how much she wants to help others.

The village still needed a lot of people, especially professional people. The administrative sector was lacking people. She needed teachers, law enforcers, and many others.

And since these posts were delicate, she wasn’t going to hurry this. She was going to take her time and probably wait for some big shots to give her a hand. She didn’t think that her almighty village didn’t attract some powerful people out there.

She didn’t need to do everything by herself, some of the things can be delegated, she can let others join and she can benefit more from it at the same time.

It’s just like when a government gives you a grant or a subsidy.

At the moment, she was currently hiring staff for the shop, post office, and magazine. She was going to spread these wide and far and let people enjoy themselves and have some fun in their lives.

After opening for one week, Alayna held an impromptu meeting seeing the huge crowd that was waiting to be served in the morning.

"Hello everyone, I am sorry for doing this without informing you. I hope that you will forgive me and listen to me for just a short time," Alayna cleared her throat as she spoke loudly while looking at the crowd that had quieted down the second, she came out of the shop.

"As you all know, this village had just opened and is very different from any places that you have seen. The village is currently empty and I am glad to announce that I am looking for residents. Not everyone can qualify to become one though, one need to pass through some tests before being accepted."

"In this village, apart from me, no one else will own some land, forgive me for being selfish but this is the way it will be. If anyone wants to live here, you will have to pay rent to live in the house. The money will cover your rent and utilities, you will understand in the future if you get chosen."

"The village won’t be like the others, in my village, we won’t concentrate on farming or rearing of livestock more. Of course, this doesn’t mean that it won’t be done, it will be done but not to a greater extent. There is a business district here and those who love being merchants can rent a shop and sell there."

"I believe that there is no need to worry about not earning, this village will become a special tourist location for everyone all over the world. We have a huge school here, one that will take children who are four years old up to twenty-something, depending on the type of education you will be having."

"There is no sect and my school won’t teach anyone cultivation, so bear in mind. For those who want to become teachers, law enforcers, politicians, and so on, you can also prepare and wait for the day. Maybe a miracle will happen."

"However, that is another issue for another day. Today I am just here to announce the recruitment of staff, I hope that you will start dropping your resumes. I will extend the period of applications by one week and after that, I will post the names of the people that qualify for the first interview."

"You don’t have to worry about the experience in some aspects of the job but it doesn’t hurt to have some. I hope that you will apply with good intentions, and those that cause trouble will be punished. Do you have any questions?"

Of course, they had questions, so she was bombarded with them and she answered them smoothly. Everyone was very excited after this announcement and happily shopped.

As for those that were interested in becoming residents, they decided to take a tour of the village and explore themselves. Of course, no one caused trouble or littered on the ground.

The news of the recruitment and resident issue, quickly spread again making the big shots that had been taking their time to get anxious.

Alayna started receiving resumes from those that were interested and she didn’t even bother to open them. There was still time for her to do that and she shouldn’t waste her time when she can sell other stuff at that time.

Alayna welcomed some bigshots just one day after she announced the big news and among the guests was a familiar face, the man who wanted to take advantage of her when she wanted to change the name on the title deeds.

Alayna was forced to let Merita take over the shop while she entertained these guests. She wasn’t particularly fazed seeing some mayor, a scholar, and a businessman in her living room.

She offered them some beverages and snacks before joining them. The group was cautious and didn’t do anything that made her hate them or look down on them.

These people were just curious and of course, she could tell from the way they were talking that they wanted something from her.

"I will be very frank with you and ask the main question that we are dying to know the answer to; how do we become residents of the village?" the mayor who had been pressured by his wives at home asked.

Alayna smiled softly at the man and answered, "you need ......"

"Is that all?"

"Of course, it’s not, apart from that you need to ......… and ...….., if you can do that, then everything else becomes easy. However, I won’t sell any land or house but you can choose which ring you want to live in. And that will also determine the rent you have to pay."

These men didn’t lack money and they didn’t believe that they won’t be able to afford the rent. Since the other wasn’t selling, they won’t force the other, the environment in the village was very good and beneficial to one’s cultivation.

They wanted to gain an upper hand before others recognize this fact. So, what if they couldn’t buy the land or houses, renting was a piece of cake and they can consider the village as a vocational place.

Alayna entertained the big shots in her house first before taking them to see the village as a whole. She practically wowed all of them and on this day, she got her first outsider villagers.

She couldn’t count on the slaves at this point, they were family and didn’t bring any income at all. The big shots practically rented joint villas in the second ring, which is a suburban area.

The first ring has detached villas and the rent is quite high. She needs to accommodate the cost of electricity as well. She is the one suffering a loss here!

So, in one day, three villas and two apartments were rented out, contracts were signed and it was just a matter of time before other residents start joining in.
