After sending off the slaves to the village, Alayna resumed her shopping with her beloved daughter. She didn’t need any more slaves at the moment but maybe in the future, she will buy more.

So, what remained now was some carriages, beasts, food, and clothes. And with her daughter’s help, she was able to buy all of that in just a few hours.

When she bought the carriages and beasts, she directly sent them to the village as she didn’t want to move around with a lot of things.

When they were done with the shopping, Alayna teleported the two of them back to the village. Alayna checked the slaves and smiled with satisfaction. They were still sitting where she left them, she didn’t want any of them to roam around when she wasn’t there.

Alayna had settled the beasts in the ranch, another feature of the village. All animals were going to be kept in one place. If villagers have their own livestock, they will place them on the ranch but brand their livestock.

The carriages were placed in a huge shed which will also keep any transport mode in the future excluding her personal vehicles.

Alayna went to check on the slaves since they were the other humans apart from her and Merita in the village.

"Everyone, this will be your home from now. The place you are in is called Athalia village and I am the owner here. You can call me Lady Alayna and this little girl here is your young mistress, Merita."

"I will assign your duties later on and show you the place so that you will get used to it. I will also inform you of the rules and I hope that you will abide by them."

"From the second I bought you and incorporated you in my village, you have become my people. You will all take my last name and I hope that you will not disappoint me or betray me in the future."

"I will tell you the benefits of being part of the West family. You may all be slaves now but you will all have a roof over your head and enough food to fill your stomachs. You will also receive some wages monthly and you will see what to do with it."

"Those that contribute greatly to the village will earn a chance to regain their freedom and you will receive your own home. However, these homes will be rented to you and you have to pay rent in the future."

"In the future, there will be more people coming to settle in but bear in mind that all this land belongs solely to your Lady. For those that will want to get married in the future, you are welcome. You only need to inform me and will settle it for you."

"I will settle you in dorms where you will be living. One for males and one for females. I hope that you will take care of each other and no bullying amongst each other again."

Alayna started and finished her one-sided speech as all slaves were listening but their eyes were no longer dull but filled with vigor and anticipation. It wasn’t every day they get to hear their owners promising them so much after being used to being worked to death without anything in return.

Merita didn’t say anything and simply stood by her mother’s side while taking mental notes. Her mother is very kind and seeing her treating slaves like this already, she felt very proud.

"Okay now, follow me and I will take you to your dorms!" Alayna said as she looked at the slaves.

In an orderly manner, the eighty slaves followed behind her obediently as they listened to Alayna talking about the strange buildings they were passing.

Alayna actually prepared three buildings to be used as dorms and they are all three-story buildings. One building is enough to accommodate the slaves which is why she decided to change from separating the slaves to making them live together.

She took them to one of the dorms and softly introduced the technology to the slaves. Although some were illiterate, it didn’t make them dull to the extent of not understanding when someone is explaining.

The slaves were amazed by everything they saw, and their worship for their mistress even increased to a greater height.

"Each floor has designated restrooms and you must not keep them dirty. They must always be cleaned, let me show you."

"Each floor also has five bedrooms and each bedroom will be shared by six people. Each person has access to a single bed and a closet for storing clothes. Two other rooms can be used as both dining and living rooms. There are tables and chairs there, so feel free to use them."

"The men will live on the ground floor while the women will take the second and third floors. I shall assign some leaders that you need to follow and also an overall leader for all of you."

"It is already late, so you will have some supper and we will continue tomorrow. Some of you have known each other for a long and know each other the best. Select some candidates to be your leaders and ladies, and assign yourselves to the two floors. I will bring your supper to you later."

Alayna didn’t want to control much the slaves and wanted to see their choices. She went to her mansion, the place where she will be living from now on while living in the village, and settled Merita.

She wasn’t in the mood to cook especially for eighty people, so she teleported back to Queens city and bought some takeaway for everyone including two more portions for her and Merita.

After returning, she gave Merita her share and she took the other food to the dorm where the slaves will be living. When she arrived, she found out that everyone has settled down and somehow, they have already recognized their own leaders.

Alayna didn’t have time to get to know everyone, so she passed the food to everyone before leaving.

Alayna and Merita were tired so they didn’t stay long that night and went to bed. The next day, Alayna left Merita in the house while she went to check up on the slaves.

The slaves were already up and she didn’t know how long they have been awake for.

"It’s good that everyone is awake. Today we will get to know each other and I will give you your clothes. As for your food, I will store the food in the storage, and from now on you can prepare your own meals."

After saying this, the real introductions began. Alayna listened to every slave and took note of their names. Of course, she directly renamed them after that as their original names just made her cringe.

After the introductions, Alayna gave each person five sets of clothes with some toiletries. The slaves were very grateful and Alayna felt a bit bad for them. the clothes didn’t cost that much and yet these people were already being tearful. It wasn’t easy to live as a slave.

After doing this, she chased them all away so that they may go and shower before preparing their breakfast. With the slaves gone to groom themselves, she went to the kitchen that was solely built for this dorm. Each dorm has its own kitchen, so there was no conflict.

She took out the food that she bought the previous day and stored it in the pantry. As the slaves were many, using a stove will be costly and it was better for them to use fire, it was faster that way.

One hour later, all slaves gathered once more and they looked much better than before.

Alayna this time assigned duties to the slaves and some of the duties were based according to their professions while some weren’t.

Some will be in charge of cleaning, farming, rearing livestock, and so on. She even picked a few to take care of her mansion. As all of the slaves were just mortal beings without cultivation, she didn’t assign them to do any dangerous jobs.

The slaves were very grateful and noted everything in mind. As she didn’t need them to start working immediately, she left after she was done so that they may cook and fill their stomachs.

After two days, the slaves now knew every crook and corner of the village and have also started their duties.

What was left was for Alayna to officially open the village and wait patiently for anyone to stop by.

Alayna wasn’t worried actually that her village will not get people, she was only worried that it may take a bit longer before her shop starts earning like other shops.

She was surrounded by villages and it was going to be difficult to find some big shots who can truly afford her food items.

But she has faith since she was able to open a shop in the middle of a dangerous forest and succeeded, why should she worry when she currently owns a whole village?
