{So, the magazine is more like an entertainment type of newspaper?}

"Exactly, it’s like that but it will publish the real stuff that is happening whether it is gossip or genuine."

{And this pen pal thing, we will really be able to communicate with people from afar?}

"Yes, you can do that but that will depend on whether your letter was chosen and if someone responded to that. For that exchange to happen, I will be introducing a postal service where people can send and receive letters from designated places. It will ......."

Just like this, Alayna introduced another project that goes hand in hand with the current that she was talking about.

[Damn, if it’s really like that, doesn’t that mean that we can make friends from afar?]

[We can send letters to other places as well. it is very expensive to send letters to those blackhearted people.]

{Will this magazine publish news from other places or it will be just Draak town, Ciliren city, and nearby places?}

"The main idea is to report news on the places that are nearby at the moment but this doesn’t mean that we will only concentrate on that. In the future, news on other places will also be reported, so don’t be worried."

It didn’t take long before the first session came to an end and everyone left the hall with smiles. Everyone was talking about what had just happened in the hall and this made those that were waiting for the second session to be very curious as well.

Alayna’s second and third sessions were the same as the first session, the only difference was the questions asked. She was glad that people asked as it gave way for her to answer and enlighten people.

At the same time, she also noted the details that she missed out on when planning all of this.

By the time she was done, she was having a headache and just wanted to go home and rest. That is exactly what she did and she had no idea that the power of word of mouth was that serious.

[Guys, the lady boss did it again!]

[A magazine! I am looking forward to what that is!]

[I am looking forward to the pen pal thing, I want to find a friend from afar!]

[The lady boss said that the magazine will be out next week. I am going to save some money and grab a copy!]

[I will be at the shop very early and make sure that I won’t miss out this time!]

Alayna slept the whole afternoon and only woke up when Olinda came to wake her up as supper was ready.

Being able to have a meal together with her kids was the wonderful thing that happens to her every single day, of course having Neal gone, it was a bit lonely but knowing that by the time her baby comes back, he will be stronger than before, she was at ease.

After supper, Alayna didn’t need to explain to the kids about a magazine as the kids have access to the internet like her.

The family of three did chores together and after that, they sat together in the sitting room as they talked about life.

"Mom, my new book just received a contract!" Merita revealed the surprising news to Alayna.

Alayna wasn’t expecting to hear this kind of news but she was elated that she embraced the little girl and showered her with kisses.

"That’s my baby girl! You are really going high!"

Alayna was very happy hearing this good news, she was very proud of her child and she didn’t mind showing this at all.

Olinda was also very happy for her little sister, she had seen with her own eyes how hard-working Merita is, and seeing all her hard work paying off, she was truly elated for the other.

"Hehehe, just doing what I can."

Olinda didn’t have any good news to share but Alayna still praised her kids for their hard work. The kids were very happy and basked in this rare limelight of their mother.

The following few days Alayna was busy once again, after talking about the postal service she was completely blank as she didn’t think about that in the first place.

So, this needed to be dealt with as soon as possible. Using people as post boys was actually a huge NO at the moment as that will take a bit long but if she were to use her shops as the posting point, that will actually work.

But thinking of how her shops were continents apart, this couldn’t be done at the moment, so she needed to come up with another helpful way.

Alayna was busy researching about this problem and came up with a traditional method of doing things.

Every post office always has those boxes where people will post their letters, the postmen will retrieve the letters and send them to their respective destinations.

Alayna wanted her delivery service to be very fast and efficient, she couldn’t do everything by herself and the system wouldn’t help her with construction in places where the shops weren’t located and this became a huge headache for her.

She was running out of time but if it fails this time, she can still make it next time.

It was on a Saturday that she finally decided on a solution. She was going to open a post office in several places and in these places, people can leave or receive their letters.

She wasn’t going to dabble in other things except this as she didn’t want to be at odds with people in the same profession.

In the meantime, however, her shop was going to act as a post office until the post offices were established.

The same day Alayna drove her car to Draak town as she wanted the first post office to be there. Of course, she was going to open a corner in her shop later as there was no space for that at the moment.

Alayna was very popular in town so she was quickly recognized. Alayna didn’t have time to catch up with people, so she simply visited the council office to check if there were any available buildings for sale.

She was very lucky and managed to find one that was currently on sale. She quickly found the person who was selling the building and had a long talk with the owner.

By the time she was done, she left the place with an agreement and the title deeds of the building.

She didn’t go home straight but went to the council office again to register her business as this was going to be operated in town and not her forest.

After registering her business, she drove back home. She prepared dinner for the kids and had another warm meal with them again.

This night, she finally received the magazines that she had been waiting for. She received a total of 20,000 copies as the first batch and she will order for more as soon as she sees the progress.

Sunday soon arrived and this day was spent at the park, playing with the kids. She decided to take rest for the whole day and resume working later.

Family time is always important and she didn’t want to stray away from the kids simply because of work. All work and no play make Jane a dull girl.

On Monday morning, Alayna was up early and so were the kids. The kids so far haven’t seen the magazines and were all dying to get a copy.

In order not to spoil them a lot, she was adamant about letting the kids go and buy their own copies at the shop. These two kids were receiving allowances and barely has places to spend them.

Of course, she didn’t add the money spent on the internet as the kids were now taking care of that part themselves. Where will their money be used if she pays for everything?

Kids should learn to be independent sometimes.

"Mommy, are you not going to show us?" Merita asked cutely hoping that her mother will give in but the response made even Olinda chuckle.

"No, even your mother hasn’t opened one yet. We should all uphold our integrity. Don’t forget to take out some money and buy your copy later!"

Merita looked at Alayna with a defeated expression and seeing her mother not bulging, she ran into her older sister’s arms to complain.

Olinda happily obliged the younger one and comforted her, of course, there was no way she was going to coax her mother into giving them a free copy, once Alayna makes up her mind, she wasn’t one to go back on her words.

Alayna prepared breakfast with the kids, shared the meal, and changed her clothes in preparation to go to the shop. She was also looking forward to seeing how the magazine turned out to be.

It may seem a bit irresponsible to not look at the final product but she had seen another draft that the publishing company sent and it looked just fine to her.

And she also didn’t believe that the company will scam her, after all, it wasn’t easy for one to start an online business on the dark web and especially the mysterious kind like the one that she uses.
