Chapter 235: I Will Feed You

’Luckily, there is a house in this barrier.’

Ren was currently sitting on the bed while looking at the orange sky through the window.

Even though the bedroom was not big, he still felt lucky.

They could not retrieve any item from their space rings, so they would have been cold at night if there hadn’t been a house inside the barrier.

’Ah, that’s right. I completed the quests earlier. Let’s see what rewards I got.’

He opened his system to check the rewards.

’Memory Reading card?’

His face broke into a smile as he read the description.

Memory Reading was a Divine class low-level skill. It was a skill that allowed him to read someone’s memories by making direct physical contact.

This skill was not limited to living beings alone.

As long as the physical bodies were still intact, he could even read the memories of the dead, so this skill was really useful for uncovering hidden knowledge, solving mysteries, or detecting lies.

’What a good skill card!’

He activated the card immediately, allowing him to master the Memory Reading skill in seconds.

’What about the other card?’

He received two quests, so he got two cards.

’Phoenix Tear Potion Card?’

He let out a deep sigh as he read the description.

The Phoenix Tear Potion was a potion that could heal all internal injuries and restore both spiritual energy and mana in a short time.

He was disappointed because all he needed to do was sleep to gain the same benefits from the card.

’Well, I will give this potion to Queen Althea tomorrow morning.’

He didn’t give her the potion immediately because he believed she would refuse it.

After all, she took all the healing potions earlier, so based on her personality, she would force him to drink the potion.

’Let me check my status now.’

’System, allocate all the accumulated points to the Mage Class.’

He said in his head.

----

Mage Exp: 201 ---> 33,201

----

His gaze fell on one of the cards in his inventory.

’I really want to use this Double EXP card, but I have no idea where powerful magical beasts usually gather.’

He received the Double EXP card after killing General Ethan.

After activating it, he could gain twice the experience for every magical beast he killed, but the effect only lasted an hour.

This was the reason why he had not used it until now, because wasting the card on 1-star or 2-star magical beasts just was not worth it.

’Should I ask Queen Althea if she knows a place with a lot of 3-star and 4-star magical beasts?’

As he was looking at his system, Althea stepped into the bedroom.

"Ren, let’s eat together." She brought the food to the bedroom because he was still recovering.

He closed the system and turned to her. "It looks delicious!"

She put the food on the table before finally dragging the wooden chair closer to the bed.

"This food will help you recover faster, so make sure you eat it." She handed him the food before finally sitting on the chair.

"Thank you." He smiled softly.

As she was consuming the food, she noticed he seemed to be having a hard time with his meal.

’Ah, right. His hands are injured.’

She set her own plate down and reached for his.

"I will feed you." She didn’t mind feeding him because she had promised to take care of him until he fully recovered.

Even though he didn’t say anything, Ren was touched by her decision because he felt immense pain every time he lifted the spoon.

"Fuuuu... Fuuuu..." Althea scooped up a spoonful of food and gently blew on it.

The food was still hot, so she didn’t feed him immediately.

Ren, who saw her gently blowing on the food, found himself oddly captivated. His heart suddenly beat faster and for reasons he could not explain, he could not take his eyes off her.

Maybe it was just a simple gesture, yet somehow, that small action had quietly claimed a piece of his heart.

"Hmm?" Althea stopped blowing on the food and smiled softly when she noticed his gaze. "Why are you looking at me like that? Are you in love with me?"

"Queen Althea, my heart is racing right now. It seems I’ve fallen in love with you for real this time." Ren expressed what he was feeling bravely like a warrior.

Her face blossomed into a smile after hearing his confession. "You are still injured, so focus on recovering first. You can put all that effort into trying to seduce me once you’ve healed."

She may have sounded teasing, but the truth was his words had made her heart flutter.

Yes!

A special feeling was not blooming in his heart alone, but in hers as well.

She had never expressed her true feelings because she was not ready to reveal it.

"Then, I will seduce you once I’ve healed." He responded,

"I will be waiting for it." After saying that, she fed him again.

After dinner, they rested on the bed together.

Once Ren fell asleep, the Sweet Dream feature activated, healing his injuries and restoring his stamina.

Althea didn’t know anything about this because she was already in the dream world.

----

Time went by quickly and without realizing it, it was already 05:30 am. At this moment, Ren had fully recovered.

There was not even a single scar on his body, as if he had never been involved in a fight before.

Ren was not surprised when he saw his body because he already knew he would be fully recovered once he woke up.

’She is still sleeping.’

A soft smile spread across his face as he looked at her sleeping face.

’She took care of me yesterday. I will cook her something delicious to show my gratitude.’

When he was about to get out of bed, Althea woke up.

"Ren, where do you want to go?" she sat up before finally rubbing her eyes.

"I want to go to the kitchen." He replied,

"Are you hungry?" She still didn’t know that he had fully recovered, so she thought he was starving. "Wait here. I will cook breakfast for you."

"Let me be the one to cook breakfast for us this time." He was touched by her kindness, especially since she was willing to cook for him despite still feeling sleepy.

"You are still injured, so just stay here and let me cook breakfast for us." She refused instantly.

"I’ve fully recovered, so I can cook food now." He showed her his arms.

Her eyes widened in surprise.

’How? How did his wounds heal so quickly?’

She took his hands and checked them carefully.

’Is it because of my food?’

She had cooked the Regener dish for him yesterday, so this question popped up in her mind.

’No, no.’

She knew the Regener dish would help him recover faster, but it should not have worked this quickly.

"Take off your clothes and stand by the bed," She wanted to check whether the injuries on the rest of his body had fully healed as well or not.

"Queen Althea, do you realize what you just said? You sound like you are about to harass me, you know?" he knew she would be surprised, but he didn’t expect her to ask him to take off his clothes.

"Hurry up and take off your clothes." She would not take no for an answer, so she forced him to remove his clothes.

Ren gave in and did as he was told because she wouldn’t be at ease unless she checked his condition herself.

Once he placed his clothes on the bed, Althea began carefully checking his body, slowly walking in a circle around him.

’He is not lying. He has fully recovered.’

After checking his upper body, she moved on to his lower body because he had also been injured on his legs.

’How did he heal so quickly like this? There is not even a single scar on his body. Is he a human being like me?’

Her face suddenly turned red when she saw his bulge because the distance between her face and his trunks was close.

"So, do you believe me now?" he inquired.

Althea rose to her feet and asked, "Ren, are you a ghost?"

The corner of his lips twitched.

’Shouldn’t your question be, ’Are you an angel?’ What makes you think I’m a ghost?’

He was stunned because she chose the word ghost instead of angel.

"I have a special body. It heals itself when I sleep." He could not reveal his system, so he chose to lie.

"So envious!" She believed him immediately because she had witnessed how quickly his body healed from injuries. "Alright. Let’s cook breakfast now."

"Are you going to cook with me?" he inquired.

"Yes." she responded, "We have never cooked together before, so I think now is the perfect time to do that."

"You are right. Let’s cook breakfast together." He grabbed her right hand before finally heading to the kitchen.

"Hehe." She chuckled happily when he dragged her to the kitchen.

"Why are you giggling?" he asked curiously.

Instead of answering his question, she asked, "Ren, did you forget something?"

"No." he still didn’t know what was going on.

"Are you sure?" Her grin widened. "Why don’t you take a look at yourself?"

Ren stopped his footsteps and looked down at his body.

’Hmm?’

His eyes widened in shock.

’Oh, no! I forgot to wear my clothes!’
