As soon as Zylus finished drinking from the plastic water bottle that came with his burger, he threw each item’s baggage parts into the trash. Now, he was brimming with energy, and there was just the thing for him to use it on.

He could take the train right now, bore himself out until he falls unconscious, but there’s also the second option. He can go on a bunch of quests to stockpile for future purposes.

Zylus readied his demonic weapon by his side, tightening his right hand’s grip while calmly exhaling.

But then, something grabbed his attention. Zylus, upon seeing [Quest 3], sneered. Originally, back when his life was still normal, prior to him going to the elemental academy, back then, when everything was more peaceful than how it was, Zylus received this same exact quest.

Well, it was pretty similar. The original one wasn’t ranked as difficult; that was because the other one he had to ’escape’ from within a specific time limit. Zylus didn’t truly understand if this was fate doing its work or if it was just some good luck he received once in a while.

Without paying much attention, he accepted it.

Just then, and similar to always, his body felt like it was slowly peeling off the existence of this world. As his calming grasp shifted into something more serious. Zylus closed his eyes, breathing in and out, letting his soul be completely shifted to a new reality, where his system would host these ’quests.’

Just like that, from Zylus’s original position, he was gone. Similar to how any other quest Zylus went on, his body shifted to a new setting. And this one had the tale of blood.

Zylus immediately opened his eyes wide, looking at the entire terrain, interested.

Blood stains ran across an empty desert, the beautiful sunlight above poured onto Zylus’s skin, while he tried looking up, immediately placing a hand to cover the light right after.

Blood stains were across many areas around the desert. No hills, no trees, no water, just him, and a plain desert with sand.

Zylus looked all around, not noticing a single breath or thing near him. He dug his feet deep into the sand, feeling the heat, then took it out right after.

Zylus, upon gazing at these notifications, still didn’t budge. Fear, or even the pain of fear, just didn’t apply to him anymore, because he washed it away alongside guilt.

The land stretched endlessly, Zylus couldn’t see anything past the beautiful sky-blue and the sun pouring around.

He realized he was being limited as a test. Clearly, Zylus had grown so strong that even the system couldn’t help but place limitations on his abilities.

Originally, without using Demonic Kin, Zylus would be moving much smaller than that. Given how the cosmic speed limit is 3.0 multiplied by 10 to the power of 8 Km/h, he would be able to pursue just 1,000Km/h now, much smaller than what he used with Demonic Kin, which was Mach 3, or 3,700Km/h, which was very quick, especially in comparison with the ranked individuals inside the Demon Realm.

Not good enough against the sovereigns. No, not even close.

Though Zylus still had one ability he could successfully utilize throughout. Which was his [False body deception technique], allowing him to adjust to faster speeds, even in this form.

It’s not a teleportation move, but one that creates a major indifference with one’s constant velocity and instantaneous velocity. Helping Zylus move to quicker speeds than his original. Whether it be with [Demonic Kin] or [The Transcendent Soveriegns], the technique would adjust so he can move instantaneously quicker than he would in his original form.

It wasn’t some sort of blessing, but one that required the user to be pretty quick to actually work. And this only occurred after his many uses, which helped him gain this aspect.

Back to the fight, Zylus was still standing, nothing around him was breathing, everything was away except for the stained blood on the sand.

"Guess I’ll have to do something different," he whispered, as this [Cursed Beast] began to appear just in front of his eyes.

Zylus looked at it, sneering.

"Lowering my power level because you’re that scared? Doesn’t seem much of a ’beast’ to me."

Zylus looked at his weapon, as it shivered, but he tightened its grasp, finally coming to a cool.
