Training-Addicted Mage In A Progression Fantasy-Chapter 63: Asteria (3)
Chapter 63: Asteria (3)
“Hmm...”
As Leon showed signs of concern, Arpina inquired.
“What’s wrong?”“I’m worried about facing the Tower Master.”
Leon answered cautiously.
His concern stemmed from uncertainty about whether Bima’s Bracelet would be effective against an Advanced Insight Mage.
“Wouldn’t it be better to tell him directly about your Realm?”
Arpina lightly tapped her cheek as she pondered, then spoke.
“Don’t worry about that for now. Just participate. Even if something happens, I can step in and explain. Besides, Glios is different from Laidra. He’s not obsessed with Realms or power. Rather, he values something beyond that.”“If that’s the case... I understand.”

After spending a day in the assigned quarters, Leon headed to the basement of the Magic Tower as Arpina had instructed.
As he descended the stone staircase, a vast circular space unfolded before his eyes.
It was spacious enough to easily accommodate hundreds of people, with intricate Defense Magic Circles densely arranged on the walls and floor.
When Leon arrived, several Mages had already taken their places.
Two of them caught his eye.
One was familiar even to Leon.A female Mage with long golden hair flowing down, it was Leisia.Contrary to her sharp impression, she was conversing with the surrounding male Mages with a gentle expression.
Even to Leon, Leisia was strikingly beautiful. It wasn’t surprising to see male Mages gathering around her and showing goodwill.
“You’re as beautiful as ever, Lady Leisia.”“I’ll have to decline such compliments. Congratulations on advancing your Realm in these three years, Sir Ferit.”
She responded sweetly. Her charm wasn’t just due to her appearance.
The other person who caught Leon’s attention was a young man with blue curly hair swept back.People were gathered around him as well.
His Realm was so high that Leon couldn’t gauge it.Probably at least Advanced Arcane to Mystic Realm in skill.
He seemed to notice Leon using Scanning Magic on him, as he briefly glanced over. His deep, sharp eyes showed a hint of curiosity.
However, due to constant interruptions from those beside him, his interest in Leon didn’t last long.
The man answered people’s questions sincerely with a gentle smile.
“Now that you’re graduating, you’ll return to receive formal education as the Tower Master’s successor, right?”“Successor? When did we ever decide on a successor?”“Who else but you, Sir Calderic, could be the successor? Too much modesty can invite criticism, haha.”“You flatter me.”
Calderic concluded the conversation with his usual smile, then casually approached Leisia.
Seemingly oblivious to the gazes around him, he maintained his relaxed and amiable demeanor.
“How’s your training progressing?”
Calderic inquired with a gentle tone.
“Thanks to your concern, I haven’t encountered any significant challenges.”

The unique atmosphere between the two captured the attention of those nearby.
Their exchange seemed to have a subtle layer of formality, yet the mere sight of them standing together appeared to create a perfect picture.
Meanwhile, more people continued to arrive at the Training Room.
The elder’s personal disciples numbered around 50.Among them, Leon could easily assess the Realm of about thirty Apprentice Mages, while approximately fifteen had attained the Arcane Realm.
The remaining five personal disciples possessed skills so exceptional that Leon couldn’t determine their Realm. One of these was Calderic, while the other four appeared to be middle-aged rather than youthful.
As time passed, the chatter among the personal disciples gradually subsided.Everyone seemed acutely aware of the Tower Master’s imminent arrival.
At last, a blue-haired man entered the Training Room. This was Glios, the Tower Master of Asteria. His blue hair was streaked with gray, hinting at his age.Nevertheless, his face still retained traces of what must have been considered handsome in his youth, despite the passage of time.
His deep features bore a striking resemblance to Calderic’s.
Could he be his father?
Leon naturally entertained this thought. But there was little time to dwell on it.Glios slowly surveyed the personal disciples around the Training Room, then released his Magic Power.
A weighty Magic Power permeated the air.
“Ugh...”
Some disciples groaned, feeling the pressure of the Magic Power.
It seemed as if all the surrounding Magic Power had fallen under Glios’s control, bearing down on their bodies.
The personal disciples each resisted Glios’s formidable Magic Power.Among them, Calderic maintained a relatively composed expression. As if accustomed to such situations, he effortlessly withstood Glios’s Magic Power.
Leon, too, could overcome the pressure without much difficulty. The force exerted by an Advanced Insight Mage was undoubtedly immense. However, Leon had already experienced commanding Kito as a Servant Beast and had even faced a Witch of Advanced Insight Realm intent on killing him.He had even endured direct interference from her Magic Power.
Compared to those experiences, Glios’s pressure was of an intensity Leon could swiftly overcome.
At that moment, Glios’s gaze fell upon Leon.
“So you’re the one who recently became Arpina’s disciple.”
His voice was calm yet authoritative.
Leon hesitated briefly. It was unexpected that Glios would recognize him immediately among so many people.
“...Yes, that’s correct.”
To know so quickly about an event that occurred just a day ago.Unlike Laidra, does Glios take a more active interest in running the School?
Fortunately, Glios’s interest waned at that point, and he looked around once more.
“You all know why I’ve gathered you here.”
His voice resonated throughout the Training Room.
“To provide us with guidance, isn’t it?”
Calderic responded.Glios briefly glanced at Calderic.
“Indeed. You’re the ones responsible for Asteria’s future, and I apologize for being somewhat negligent until now.”“Not at all. We all understand the demands on your time.”
Calderic replied with genuine respect.
Glios nodded with a smile.
“That’s why I’ve arranged this occasion. Whether it’s attack, defense, or anything else, freely demonstrate before me what you wish to be taught. I assume you’ve all prepared, and first...”“I’ll go.”
Calderic stepped forward. No one in the Training Room objected to his confident demeanor.Everyone fully acknowledged his skill and standing.
“I’d like to receive guidance on attack Magic.”
Glios nodded silently, his hands behind his back.
Intense Magic Power swirled around Calderic as he slowly rose into the air.
He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, then raised his palm.As his eyes opened, a massive Magic Circle appeared on the floor before him, emitting light.
Blue streams of Water gushed from the Magic Circle, quickly flooding the surroundings.
As if a massive wave was about to engulf the Training Room, the Defense Magic Circles placed in the room activated, forming a transparent protective barrier around Glios and Calderic.
The Water filled the space within the barrier and churned violently.
Glios flew upwards.
In that instant, Calderic’s fierce waves transformed into sharp tornadoes.Five of them.Five tornadoes rushed towards Glios.
Invisible Spellcasting... A Mystic Grade Mage.
Witnessing this impressive display, Leon realized that Calderic’s Realm was far higher than he had initially thought. He finally understood why many gathered around him and why they deemed him suitable for the successor position.
However, those five Water whirlwinds halted as if they had never existed the moment Glios waved his hand once.
Following his gesture, the tornadoes instantly transformed into blocks of ice.
“Calderic, your Magic is potent. However, the essence of Magic isn’t about unleashing raw Power. Especially with the Water Magic you employ. Water itself is flexible and must flow naturally. When you can fully comprehend and control the flow of your Magic Power, only then will your Magic truly become powerful, like a force of nature. Remember, what’s crucial in your Magic isn’t the magnitude of Power, but the finesse in handling that flow smoothly.”
Calderic bowed his head and responded respectfully.
“Thank you.”
As he stepped back, the ice-transformed tornadoes vanished like an illusion. They disappeared without a trace, as if they had never existed.
After that, the personal disciples came forward before Glios one by one.
Each demonstrated their Magic and received brief guidance from Glios.
One Magic, one lesson.Although brief, their expressions suggested they had gained profound insights. The Mages all thanked Glios and stepped back.
Leon observed the scene with keen interest.Until now, he had never received direct guidance from anyone and had always progressed alone.
To some extent, this was what Leon had wanted. For Leon, who had raised his Realm through Quests and Rewards, lengthy teachings might often feel more like interference than help.
But he sensed that this brief guidance here would certainly prove beneficial to him as well.
Let’s seek guidance on Harmony.
His turn had finally come, and he slowly stepped forward.
Leon had adjusted himself down to Apprentice 5th Grade, so he decided to use only the 1-star Magic of Harmony’s Providence.
He looked at Glios steadily and spoke.
“I would like to receive guidance on Harmony.”“Harmony......”
Glios looked at Leon with interest.
