Top Actress Beware: Also Reborn Is Your CEO Husband!-Chapter 68 Mason Nightshade Gets Angry
Chapter 68: Chapter 68 Mason Nightshade Gets Angry
Mason Nightshade furrowed his brow, somewhat regretting leaving her here to wait for him. Turning back to the servants, his eyes suddenly turned cold, with a hint of restless fury. "Bring a blanket over."
The servants all shivered collectively. Although the young master didn’t specify anyone in particular, they felt their deliberate neglect of the young lady had been uncovered. Their hearts pounded with anxiety. The butler, who was best at reading faces, immediately responded with "Yes" and hurried out to get a blanket.
Mason Nightshade took off his coat and draped it over Aurelia Shaw. As he stood up, his gaze suddenly sharpened, and his handsome face darkened.
Balthazar Shaw came down from upstairs and caught sight of Mason Nightshade’s dark gaze fixed on Aurelia. His heart skipped a beat, and he screamed "Not good" internally. He rushed down, nearly stumbling on the stairs several times, but had no time to care. He stretched out his hand, ready to stop Mason Nightshade, only to realize Mason Nightshade’s gaze was fixated on a particular spot.
Balthazar paused, following Mason Nightshade’s gaze for a glance. His old face instantly turned red as he quickly averted his gaze. He knew his daughter didn’t sleep honestly, but he didn’t expect she could fall asleep right in the living room, and in such an... ungraceful posture. freeweɓnovel~cѳm
The V-neckline of her shirt slid down, revealing her smooth, fair shoulder. Below, her skirt had slipped up to her thighs, the edge of her white underwear faintly visible. Her snow-white, slender legs were curled up in front of her, her exquisite and beautiful face sleeping soundly, completely unguarded, breathing evenly.
His daughter, even when not dressed up, was enticingly beautiful like a fairy, let alone now, with her clothes in disarray, quietly asleep.
This was an outright temptation for any man!
Balthazar seemed to have a realization about why Mason Nightshade looked so grim. Could it be that he wasn’t wrong, and Mason Nightshade had fallen for Aurelia? Though this notion hadn’t been confirmed yet, at last, there appeared to be a glimmer of hope.
Servants were moving back and forth nearby. Though Aurelia wasn’t in a deep sleep, she noticed the light in front of her was blocked by a shadow, and something heavy and warm seemed to cover her shoulder. She frowned in annoyance, feeling both stifled and hot, and angrily grabbed the clothing, tossing it aside.
The suit jacket flew out and landed squarely on Mason Nightshade’s head.
"..."
Even without seeing Mason Nightshade’s expression, one could sense the low pressure emanating from his stiffened body.
"Mason Nightshade?"
With sleepy eyes, she saw the man’s handsome face mirrored in her eyes, and Aurelia rubbed them. Her almond-shaped eyes still carried the haze of just waking up, as she asked him, "Finished your business?"
Mason Nightshade pulled down the jacket, glaring at her in frustrated anger, and threw the jacket back onto her. "Cover your legs!"
Aurelia wondered what was wrong with him again, glanced down, and only then noticed her skirt had slipped up to her thighs again. She casually pulled it down and asked, "Can we go now?"
What kind of reaction was that! Didn’t she care about being seen by others?
Mason Nightshade was boiling with frustration, a ball of fire stuck in his chest, about to burst out. Before it could, Aurelia yawned sleepily, her beautiful almond eyes swollen, with tears brimming in her eyes, making her look incredibly pitiable.
Mason Nightshade’s anger instantly dissipated, even feeling a hint of tenderness. He shouldn’t have let her wait this long.
"It won’t happen again next time," Mason Nightshade muttered to himself, reaching out to stroke her head. Her soft hair slipped through his fingers, silky and smooth. Mason Nightshade pondered arranging a shampoo advertisement for her after returning; such good hair should be known to the whole world, as he murmured "Hmm" in a low voice by her ear.
