Chapter 620: Chapter 508: Seizing the Opportunity, Hattori Si’s Failed Plan_2

"Mm?" She was momentarily stunned and tried to start the car again, but it still wouldn’t start.

Aoyama Xiu Xin pretended to know what was happening and said, "The rain is too heavy; it might have damaged some part of the car. I’ll call for someone to send a car."

"Ah, alright." Ueda Hanon sighed gloomily, feeling that things had been going wrong lately.

Aoyama Xiu Xin took out his cell phone and pressed a few buttons, but he didn’t actually dial. He pretended to speak, "Hello, Shinichi, my car broke down on the road to Chitose City. Send a car over."

Then he put away the phone and looked at Ueda Hanon, "The rain is too heavy; it will probably take half an hour."

"Mm." Ueda Hanon nodded and then wrinkled her nose, suddenly coughing achingly.

Seeing this, Aoyama Xiu Xin suggested, "Miss Ueda, your military jacket is soaking up too much water. You might want to take it off; you could catch a cold."

Ueda Hanon hesitated for a moment, then slowly began unbuttoning her military jacket. After all, she was still wearing a shirt underneath.

After she removed the green military jacket, the slightly damp white shirt beneath was visible, and the wet spots appeared somewhat transparent, revealing the light blue lace bra and her heavy conscience beneath.

Ueda Hanon noticed this too, and her face turned as red as an apple. She could only cross her hands over her chest to cover up, but it was simply too big; this action only made it look even more provocative.

Her face, still wet with rain and tears, had messy hair sticking to her forehead, creating a disheveled beauty.

Neither of them spoke, and the car fell silent.

"I’m sorry, Miss Ueda; I didn’t mean for this to happen because of me," Aoyama Xiu Xin said with a face full of guilt.

This was a perfect opportunity to take advantage.

He surely wouldn’t miss it.

He was unfairly branded a philanderer without doing anything, after all. Wouldn’t he be at a loss if he really didn’t act?

Ueda Hanon’s cheeks became even rosier, and she muttered shamefully, "It’s not your fault."

After all, it was her unilateral fantasy that triggered the series of events, and the other party was purely a victim.

"No! It’s still related, if I hadn’t let Miss Ueda see things that shouldn’t have been seen, you wouldn’t have jumped to conclusions," Aoyama Xiu Xin said.

Ueda Hanon’s embarrassment peaked, and her ears turned beet red, "Stop talking, please don’t say anymore."

"Miss Ueda."

"Mm." She lifted her head, only to meet Aoyama Xiu Xin’s burning eyes, filled with desire.

She trembled inside and quickly lowered her head again.

Aoyama Xiu Xin swallowed hard, grabbed her hand, and asked, "Are... are you cold?"

Being experienced, Ueda Hanon knew her answer would determine what happened next.

"Mm." She nodded as if possessed.

Aoyama Xiu Xin held her tight, "Does this feel a bit better?"

"I’m still cold." She said breathlessly, her voice trembling as she clung tightly to Aoyama Xiu Xin.

Hattori Si, you thought I was involved with Aoyama Xiu Xin, so let it be as you wish; I’m getting divorced anyway.

As everyone knows, friction generates heat, and the two adopted this method to warm up in the car.

Outside, the rain poured down heavily, cars moved to and fro, and inside the car, it was chaos with vigorous actions, the car shaking violently, and soon the windows were fogged up.

.............

Sapporo.

Hattori Si’s office was a mess, having been demolished in his tantrum. After such an outburst, his emotions finally stabilized, and he sat on the couch, his expression stern.

One thought occupied his mind.

He could not get a divorce.

He decided to ask his father-in-law, Ueda Hikoshu, to intervene.

Although Ueda Hikoshu looked down on him, as a prominent General, he surely wouldn’t want the family’s dirty laundry aired in a scandal. If Hattori expressed that he wouldn’t interfere with Ueda Hanon’s private life, then for the sake of the family’s reputation, he naturally would prevent Ueda Hanon from divorcing.

"From now on, everyone can just go their separate ways," might have stifled him, but with the status of being Ueda Family’s son-in-law, his future was bright. There would come a day when he would be successful and he could exact revenge for the previous humiliation without it being too late.

If he were to divorce, enduring ten times the frustration wouldn’t yield an equivalent payoff.

He was shrewd, otherwise, he wouldn’t have won Ueda Hanon’s favor by being a mere security guard.

Once he decided, Hattori Si immediately headed straight to his father-in-law’s office, burst through the door, and before the other could berate him, fell to his knees crying, "Dad!"

"What’s going on? What is this? Get up immediately!" Ueda Hikoshu was startled.

Hattori Si remained kneeling where he was, tears starting to fall. "Dad, you have to help me, I don’t want to lose Hanon, I don’t want to divorce her!"

"What divorce? What have you done to wrong her?" Ueda Hikoshu’s face became stern. His first thought was that the son-in-law had wronged his daughter, for she had married him when he was poor and could never have done anything that would wrong the son-in-law.

But realizing it concerned a family matter, he went and closed the door. "Tell me everything from the beginning."

"Dad, I haven’t wronged her. It’s her, she has someone else. She’s gotten involved with Aoyama Xiu Xin and insists on divorcing me, she just told me on the phone," Hattori Si said pathetically.

"What? Impossible!" Ueda Hikoshu’s first reaction was disbelief. He immediately turned to call his daughter but found he couldn’t reach her at all.

Hattori Si sobbed, "I’ve called her many times; she doesn’t answer. She must have turned off her phone. She is still with Aoyama Xiu Xin right now."

Ueda Hikoshu then called Aoyama Xiu Xin.

"Mosi Mosi?" Aoyama Xiu Xin, while yanking Ueda Hana’s hair, answered the phone.

Ueda Hikoshu got right to the point, "Mr. Aoyama, Hanon is with you, right? Let her answer the phone."

"Your dad," Aoyama Xiu Xin handed the unmanageable phone to Ueda Hana who clearly tensed up knowing who was calling.

Ueda Hana called out, "Dad."

"Hanon, Hattori claims you are having an illicit relationship with Aoyama Xiu Xin and want to divorce him. Is that true?" Ueda Hikoshu asked sternly.

He put on the speakerphone for Hattori Si to listen.

"I... Ah!" Ueda Hana had barely spoken when she lost control of her voice, gasping and whimpering, "Yes! That’s right!"

Aoyama Xiu Xin quickly hung up.

Both Ueda Hikoshu and Hattori Si understood what was happening at the other end of the phone, but their reactions were different. Ueda Hikoshu felt embarrassment, shame, and confusion, while Hattori Si felt outright rage.

"Dad, you heard, right? I don’t know what I did wrong for her to treat me like this!" Hattori Si fought back tears of humiliation and despondently said, "The leaving I cannot stop. Her heart has changed, and I have no control, but I don’t want a divorce. I want to provide Aiko a complete family. We can just live separate lives, but at least on the surface maintain our marriage."

It seemed like a plaintive concession, but Ueda Hikoshu saw through his motives instantly; he’d rather wear the cuckold’s horns and cling to the privileged association with the Ueda family.

"What are you saying? If the love has died it should end in divorce. Hanon is at fault and I will provide you with compensation," Ueda Hikoshu said indifferently.

He saw through Hattori Si’s thoughts and thus was even more unlikely to agree. Someone who could tolerate such humiliation clearly had a strong career ambition and was very calculating.

If he truly ascended by leveraging the Ueda family’s influence, he’d definitely seek revenge in the future.

On the other hand, separate from the Ueda family, in this lifetime he’d be nothing more than a minor third-ranked lieutenant, not a threat at all.

That’s why Ueda Hikoshu wouldn’t nurture a threat.

His daughter, even divorced, wouldn’t lack suitors.

However, he was curious how Aoyama Xiu Xin, who hadn’t known Hanon long, had started this affair?

Hattori Si was baffled and, with a trembling voice, looked up and said, "Dad, even if you don’t consider the family’s reputation, you should think of Aiko. She needs a father, she needs a complete family."

How had things turned out so differently from what he expected?

"That’s settled then," Ueda Hikoshu dismissed with a wave of his hand. An affair wasn’t enough to tarnish the family’s reputation. High society was inherently chaotic.

Hattori Si walked out of Ueda Hikoshu’s office, soul shaken, and it was only the outside’s cold wind and rain that brought him back to his senses, his eyes filling with deep-seated hatred.

Aoyama Xiu Xin, Ueda Hana, these adulterous betrayers, I will never forgive you!

For the sake of his future, he could take any insult.

Now that his future was shattered.

Why the hell hold back? Revenge! Revenge is a must!
