To the Love of My Life-Chapter 909 - The One He Loves is Back (Part 23)_1
Chapter 909: Chapter 909 The One He Loves is Back (Part 23)_1
Throughout their conversation, the waiter served all the dishes. Howard Coleman couldn’t see the exact dishes, but since he spent two-thirds of the year entertaining clients at the Grand Capital Hotel, he could tell what Madeleine had ordered just by looking at the exquisite plates in the waiter’s hands.
All of them were signature dishes of the Grand Capital Hotel, and some were even special off-menu items.
The taste of those dishes was unparalleled; even those who often dined at the Grand Capital Hotel would find them irresistible after countless meals.
Andrew Henris, an ethnic Chinese from Oceania, hadn’t savored such fine and superior Chinese dishes in many years. He kept giving Madeleine thumbs up, to which she would always respond with a gentle smile.
During the meal, whenever Madeleine’s teacup was empty, Andrew would swiftly and gentlemanly refill it for her.
Actually, such a dining scene was quite ordinary, but Howard found it painfully distressing to watch, especially when the waiter brought over a steaming plate of crayfish, and he realized that even breathing hurt.
Crayfish was a delicacy that had become popular in Ciawell in recent years, and having been in Oceania for many years, Andrew had never tried them before, so he was initially at a loss on how to eat them.

Madeleine took the gloves offered by the waiter, put them on, and patiently demonstrated to Andrew how to peel the crayfish.
Andrew waited until Madeleine finished explaining, and imitating her actions, he put on the gloves, grabbed a crayfish to peel. But inadvertently, he flicked the crayfish onto the floor.
Madeleine couldn’t help but burst into laughter, then picked up another crayfish and demonstrated again for Andrew. This time, following Madeleine’s instructions, he managed to extract the meat, but he squashed it into a mess, slightly disappointed, he gave Madeleine a resigned shrug. Looking at the intact piece of meat she had peeled, Madeleine thought for a moment and then held it up to Andrew’s mouth.
Andrew opened his mouth and ate it, his face filled with joy as he excitedly said something to Madeleine. Then he picked up another crayfish to peel, and this time he successfully extracted the entire piece of meat and offered it to Madeleine. She didn’t refuse; she leaned forward slightly and opened her mouth to take the bite.
Seeing this, Howard’s face instantly lost all color. His blood boiled, igniting an impulse so strong he wished he could get out of the car and go in to stop the scene unfolding before him.
The plate of crayfish wasn’t large and was quickly polished off by Madeleine and Andrew, but those few minutes were the most torturous Howard had ever experienced in his life.
Sitting in the driver’s seat, Howard took several deep breaths to steady his emotions, pressed the gas pedal, and maintained a moderate distance behind Madeleine’s car, following them.
As he numbed from the pain in his heart, Madeleine and Rusell finally finished their meal and left the Grand Capital Hotel to get into Madeleine’s car.
Only when they reached the destination did Howard come back to his senses, realizing that Madeleine had taken Rusell to the Summer Palace.
In the early summer of Ciawell, the weather was mild, neither cold nor hot, ideal. The scenery of the Summer Palace was also at its finest, truly a perfect time for sightseeing and relaxation.
