To Byul (Omegaverse)-Chapter 112: Heβs so protective
Kang-woo got back and found Chin-hwa and Yun-tae laughing. ππ£πππππππΌππ²πΉ.ππ π
"Would you also like one?" Kang-woo asked Yun-tae but Yun-tae shook his head and got up.
"No, Iβve decided to listen to Mister Bright studentβs advice." He said. "Iβll head home now and go through the material I have so I can sleep early. You two should also do the same, okay?" He smiled at them and walked away after waving.
As he left, he glanced over his shoulder at the both of them. He had intentionally said he came to see his boyfriend to see Chin-hwaβs reaction and just as he thought, Chin-hwa had been affected by that title.
He was affected by the fact that he held that title. He wasnβt over his feelings at all. Just watching him with Kang-woo could tell.
Today, he had worn brightly colored clothes, something he had never worn before. Not even their efforts to convince him worked out. Guess a best friend from very long ago was the only one who had the power to change his mind.
He was the only one who had the power to move Chin-hwa to do what he didnβt want to do and it was because Chin-hwa held him deep in his heart.
Yun-tae clenched his fists.
βSo, where is my place in all this?β he wondered. βI canβt even love either of them freely because it would be wrong. Itβs just so wrong.β his eyes grew teary but he fought back the tears.
He could only get a headache if he cried now. He had to read for the test. He had to be serious with his studies and not let Chin-hwa worry about him.
He cleaned his eyes and went on his way.
Ji-hoo, standing at the corner, watched Yun-tae walk past him. He had stood there all along and even when Yun-tae had walked past him into the shop, he was there. He watched them, watched their interaction, and watched how Yun-tae left.
Just as he thought, anyone who had feelings for those two would just be harming themselves at heart. They belonged together and nothing could change that.
He glanced inside the shower again and his eyes met Kang-wooβs.
Kang-woo squinted his eyes in warning and then looked down as if he didnβt see Ji-hoo. Ji-hoo got the message and walked away.
βHeβs so protective.β he thought. βThen, hurry up and confess. Iβm giving you this last chance already. If you donβt take it...β he stopped and glanced back. βI just might want to try all over again.β
The following days were just as Monday. Kang-woo gave himself a new job waiting outside Chin-hwaβs dorm with his car and picked up both Yun-tae and Chin-Hwa to school.
However, Seoung-bo and Dong-cha still hadnβt patched up their differences, and it was affecting Dong-cha because she was especially close to Seoung-bo. She literally never went anywhere without her.
Beom-Chim was just as always. Things were going well with his girlfriend, so he simply observed the situation within their friend group and he noticed something quite odd.
Kang-woo and Yun-tae were supposed to be dating, right? Then, why did it look like they were both fighting over who would get Chin-hwaβs attention more?
It wasnβt very clear on the surface, but the little actions they made that he, who was the only observer, saw made it seem like they were fighting for Chin-hwa, but Chin-hwa gave them both equal attention.
βTheyβre so weird.β he thought.
Yun-tae would sometimes look out his window, his mind wandering towards the man he had met at the bar. He was such a peculiar individual.
Just what did he know about him?
But after that day, he had never come across him. Not by mistake, not a glance... Nothing. It was as if he had never existed.
Heβd sigh and close his window.
Maybe it was just something that was meant to happen one day and nothing more than that.
And just like that, it was already Friday. They all went their separate ways to participate in their club activities.
"So, Chin-hwa, have you made up your mind?" Yoon-woo, the club president, asked. "Lee Kang-woo here said heβd try to convince you, so did he succeed?"
Chin-hwa glanced at Kang-woo and Kang-woo also glanced at him. They never had the chance to speak about it after that Friday. His plan to speak about it with him that Saturday morning didnβt go through because he got reprimanded by his family and had to go back to clear his head.
And since they didnβt get to speak about it, he wondered if Chin-hwa was still against the idea.
"Iβll do it." Chin-hwa suddenly said, to their surprise. "Iβll perform it with Kang-woo."
"Wow, I didnβt think heβd actually succeed but he did." Yoon-woo said, her lips spread in a proud smirk. "Did he use his handsome face to convince you?" She gave a suspicious glance but Chin-Hwa shook his head and said,
"I just decided I didnβt want to hide anymore." He boldly said. "I want to get on stage with Kang-woo, just as I used to do."
Kang-woo was touched. Though he didnβt get to convince him, he was glad he changed his mind.
"Well, I donβt know what youβre talking about, but if that means youβre performing then alright." She said and turned around to the rest of the members. She went to the podium and stood with her head tall.
"Chin-hwa will be performing, so Iβm for this school festival, there will be no single exception, you got that?" She loudly announced. "If youβre stuck on a stretcher that day, Iβll still make sure to carry you on stage, so donβt go getting into accidents before them. Let the music club show the entire school what music is all about during this school festival. Do you feel me?"
They punched their fists into the air with vigorous energy, cheering after Yoon-woo.
"Yeah!"
The members of the music club were going to use that energy to practice until it was time for the school festival. It was just one week to go.
"Wait! One week?"
