To Byul (Omegaverse)-Chapter 102: It’s because they trust me with you
"Yes," They waved, and as soon as they were gone, Chin-hwa was finally able to breathe in peace.
He felt like he was holding his breath all along and if he made a mistake to breathe, he’d be letting out his secrets to his very smart mother. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦
"Are you okay?" Kang-woo asked and he nodded.
"Yeah, a little famous drama," he said, stretching his arms. "It’s not something I can’t handle."
"Alright then," Kang-woo took his hand again and Chin-hwa looked at their locked hands, his heart beating softly. "Shall we get to it then?"
"Yeah, let’s... Look at the fishes." He lightly blushed.
They looked around and enjoyed their time, buying a few snacks along the line. And then it was time for the dolphin show. It was already pretty dark, but it was said that the dolphin shows were more spectacular under the starry nights.
And it was. Who knew Dolphin’s skin glittered when it was under the stars? (Welp, I made that up but let’s just assume it’s true)
The dolphins used during the show were a special breed of dolphins and they had very beautiful skin.
Kang-woo and Chin-hwa would’ve enjoyed the moment to their heart’s content if they hadn’t bumped into Baek-Hyun and Hae-won, who were there to watch the dolphin show as well.
"What a coincidence," Hae-won said and Chin-hwa darted his eyes away.
"Why do I get the feeling that we are being followed?" He muttered under his breath and Kang-woo laughed. He turned to him, wondering what was making him laugh while hiding his lips behind the back of his palm. "What’s funny?" He asked.
"Hwa, you were wondering if you were being followed right now, right?" He asked, and Chin-hwa flinched, looking back to make sure his folks didn’t hear that.
Luckily, they were engrossed in their own little world.
"Yeah, but you didn’t have to say that out loud," he said.
"Don’t worry, I don’t think that’s what’s happening." Kang-woo said. "The dolphin show is very popular so most people who come to the aquarium end up here. If they were following you, they wouldn’t have allowed themselves to be caught by us at the beginning."
"Yeah, you’re right," he sighed and laid his back a bit. "I’m just being a little bit paranoid, I guess."
"And do you know? They would have no reason to follow us because I’m with you." He confidently said and Chin-hwa looked at that smile, wondering what gave him that confidence.
"And why do you say that?" He asked and Kang-woo leaned in, whispering softly in his ear,
"It’s because they trust me with you." He said and Chin-hwa gulped. He was so close, and the breath on his ear itched.
He was way more sensitive around his nape but that didn’t mean he was any less sensitive at the other parts of his body.
He had never really explored his body, so he had no idea, but for the time being, he was certain that his nape, neck, and ear were sensitive, with his nape being the most sensitive.
"Yeah, I got it." Chin-hwa said, looking away. They definitely trusted him with Kang-woo.
His words were not a blind play of confidence or self-flattery.
It was probably because all along, they had been together and Kang-woo was always the one taking care of him.
On summer days when the sun was hot, and they sat under a shade in the countryside, hoping to catch fireflies at night, his parents did not worry about leaving them to themselves even if both of them were young and could get lost.
They believed Kang-woo had a great sense of responsibility and would make the right decisions.
They... Always knew that he was safe with Kang-woo.
Then, was that why they were expecting wedding bells?
He bowed his head. Yeah, they had always been teased, but he knew it was because their families were close and they were both fond of each other, so such teasing arrangements were common.
But still, he sometimes wondered if his parents were setting him up with Kang-woo on purpose because they knew the kind of feelings he held for him.
Well, they were very smart and knew how to pick little details so even if they had no idea of his feelings, after that separation where he fell into devastation, they might’ve gotten a hint as to why he was feeling so heartbroken.
He wanted to know... He glanced at his parents sitting next to them, living in their own lovely world... Did they know that he was so deeply in love with Kang-woo that he would rather end his life than keep living without him?
"What are you thinking so deeply about?" Kang-woo asked, poking his forehead with his index finger. "You’re so drowned in your thoughts that your forehead keeps creasing."
"Well, I was thinking of something deep," he said, touching his forehead. "But I can’t get answers to it no matter how deeply I think,"
"Well, they say communication is key." He said. "Most times, instead of coming up with your own wild theory or jumping to conclusions, it would be best to talk to the other person. The outcome might be as you expected or theorized, but at the same time, it could be completely unexpected, and you would’ve stood to miss that big picture if you hadn’t spoken up."
Chin-hwa’s eyes dazzled.
Communication was key, huh? Well, yeah, he knew that, and that’s why he wanted his family to talk to him, but what could he do when the other party was not willing to communicate?
He could only stick to his wild assumptions.
"Well, just forget about it." Chin-hwa said. "It’s not like anything will change if I hear the answer,"
Kang-woo wondered what he was thinking of this time until Chin-Hwa changed the topic,
"That aside, remember when you said you’ve only ever lied to me once?" As soon as he said that, Kang-woo’s heart skipped a beat in fear.
Oh no, why was he bringing this up now? Was he that curious?
"Can you tell me what it was?"
