This Young Master is not Cannon Fodder-Chapter 565: Universe Reflection
The two were used to Tianyi’s absurdity, so they quickly moved on and no longer dwelled about it.
“Is that all there is to Past Reflection?” Ba Shifang asked. He felt like there should be more to it.
“You have a sharp eye, or rather, you have a keen insight,” Tianyi said. “You’re right. Past Reflection is only a branch technique derived from a greater technique. In all honesty, that technique is almost useless in combat. I would have to charge it up for a long time, and I would have to devote all my efforts to it. Even a true immortal could break my concentration and cause it to fail. But if it succeeds, I’m confident that even a divinity would feel threatened by it. That said, it’s very useful for my comprehension.”
Ba Shifang and Donghai Longzi became curious. What kind of technique did Tianyi create exactly?
“Is it fun to tease your own clones? Hurry up and tell us,” Donghai Longzi said. He had returned to his humanoid form.
“I call it Universe Reflection. It’s actually a technique based a lot on luck. I can’t guarantee its success even in the Nine Heavens Universe. In essence, I create a false timeline and merge as much energy and my insights into the timeline as possible. If I’m lucky, the various worldly laws will merge with energy and produce a big bang, creating a false universe. A reflection of the Universe, if you will. Each time it happens, I can gain many insights into fusing the laws and progress further.”
“What if you fail?” Ba Shifang asked.
Tianyi didn’t hesitate to answer. “It’ll directly explode. The power will depend on whether or not the laws have fused. I had to do my best to maintain the false timeline to prevent the explosion from affecting reality, but if I don’t, anyone unlucky enough to be near me will suffer.”
Ba Shifang stared at Tianyi, as if someone was tattooed on his face. “In that case, why don’t you call it the Big Bang Reflection?”
“I thought about it. But the name sounds weird, so I went with Universe Reflection.”
“Okay, I can accept that, but I really don’t get why your title is Nine Heavens. I think Big Bang or Kamikaze Emperor would suit you more.”
Donghai Longzi stared at Ba Shifang with a pitying look. Although he was a battle maniac, it also meant his survival senses were extremely sharp.
Tianyi snapped his fingers, and Ba Shifang shot out of Nine Heaven’s gravitational field as if he was launched from a cannon. His body turned into a shooting star as it continued to streak across the void.
He turned to Donghai Longzi. “You want to be a smartass too?”
Donghai Longzi wisely kept his mouth shut, but it wasn’t for long. “I don’t have anything to say about your naming sense, but I do have a favor.”
“Oh? Do you want to fight your reflection? No problem,” Tianyi said. Although he created the technique, it wasn’t battle-tested. He could test it and refine it through trial and error with Donghai Longzi.
“Not now,” Donghai Longzi said with a shake of his head. “Do you remember Honglin?”
“Honglin?” Tianyi searched his memories, but he couldn’t recall meeting anyone like that. Even as an immortal, he still had the same problem. Sure, he never forgot anything outside of extreme circumstances, but if he wanted to recall someone by their name, his memories would need to be jostled.
Since the name didn’t ring a bell, it could only mean it wasn’t his own memory. Tianyi searched through Donghai Longzi’s memory. He had already synced with his clone in order to gain a clearer picture of Crystal Palace. Although words and maps could give him an idea, it wouldn’t grant him the same familiarity as memories.
Aside from the required memories, comprehension of the laws, and cultivation experience, Tianyi didn’t inquire into his clone’s other memories. After all, he wasn’t a voyeur.
“Ah, Demon Emperor Redraco’s granddaughter,” Tianyi said. “What about her?”
“Do you know her whereabouts?”
“Give me a moment,” Tianyi said. His conduit in the Primordial Realm released its immortal sense and shrouded the sky, land, and seas. Because of a clever trick, the majority could not sense his probing. After a moment, Tianyi shook his head. “She’s not in the Primordial Realm.”
Donghai Longzi turned silent. As he expected, Honglin did not surrender and chose to become a wanderer. He only learned of this matter after he left Tianyi’s inner universe and the war ended. Originally, he harbored a small hope, but it seemed that it was only wishful thinking.

Upon seeing the dejected look on his clone’s face, Tianyi couldn’t help but be surprised. “Don’t tell me that you’ve developed feelings for her?”
Donghai Longzi refuted. “How can that be? It’s just that she accompanied me for centuries and I feel reluctant to kill her. After all, there’s also some guilt.”
“I’ll keep an eye out and ask the Immortal Court to avoid her if they encounter her, or to spare her if they capture her,” Tianyi said.
“No need. Honglin’s a smart girl. She won’t show up until she’s sure of protecting herself. She might attack the Immortal Court when she’s a demon empress, or she might wait until she’s a demon sovereign, but there’s no doubt she aims to become a divinity,” Donghai Longzi said. “Although she hates us for killing her grandfather, she will prioritize the Demon Clan. As long as she can become a divinity, she will have the ability to summon the scattered demons and form a new Demon Clan outside of our control.”
Tianyi nodded. He wasn’t too worried. He knew that Honglin’s age was much older than Donghai Longzi or himself. Forget if she could reach the Divine Realm. By the time she did, he would have likely also reached it for much longer. He didn’t believe he couldn’t kill a new divinity by then. In fact, he kind of wanted to capture her and stuff her and the new demon clan into his inner universe as well.
His eyes lit up. ‘That’s not a bad idea. Honglin’s talent isn’t bad. With her in my inner universe, wouldn’t that mean I get a boost too?’
Of course, Tianyi didn’t tell Donghai Longzi about his idea. At least he didn’t plan to yet.
“Now that that’s over, do you want to fight your reflection?” Tianyi said.
Donghai Longzi still shook his head. “No need. I haven’t digested the gains I got from fighting yet. Let’s wait until I feel my progress slowing down first.”
Tianyi nodded. “Do you want to stay in the inner universe or outside?”
“Outside. Few people know that I’m your clone or a traitor. Let’s keep it that way. I don’t want to be scolded all the time,” he said.
“Alright.”
Donghai Longzi disappeared, and Tianyi returned to his throne. He closed his eyes and silence filled the hall. It was as if the one sitting on the throne was not a living being, but a statue.
“How is it?” Tianyi asked. He was sitting in the back gardens of Nine Heavens Palace atop the ninth mountain of his peak.

Beside him was a woman in blue, exuding an ephemeral temperament. She was like a transient spirit, able to disappear in the blink of an eye. “I’ve only reached the level of a fourth-step monarch, but I have accumulated enough foundation to become a fifth-step monarch in a few decades.”
Daoyi glanced at Tianyi with some resentment. “Why did you move the three demon realms into the Three Thousand Immortal Realms so fast? If you paced it with a few hundred years in between, everyone could have gotten a lot more benefits.”
Tianyi scratched his cheeks and avoided Daoyi’s gaze. “I mean, I was just in a rush, you know? Relocating the three demon realms is very tiresome.”
“Let’s not talk about this. We have guests. Look, Yan Nie is here.” Tianyi pointed at the entrance to the garden.
There, a man, who appeared to be in his early to mid twenties arrived. He looked skinny, but hidden in his body was an explosive power. Standing next to him was a woman nearly the same height as him. She appeared heroic, but there was no denying her beauty that transcended gender. She was Yun Xialan, the former Holy Cloud Saintess.
Yan Nie walked forward and punched Tianyi in the shoulders. “You bastard. Couldn’t you spread out the merging of the demon realms? I’ve only reached the peak of the Seamless Immortal Realm. If you spread them out, I would have been able to become an immortal emperor instead of relying on my accumulations.”
Tianyi rubbed his nose. Why was this the first thing Yan Nie said?
Another man appeared. He looked closer to his mid-thirties, and he exuded a gentle and warm light, as if he was all the good in the world. “You got a great benefit and you’re still complaining. I have to work a long time to improve only a little bit and I’m in danger of regressing if I use too much power, while you only lost a few chances. People should learn to be content.”
Now, it was Yan Nie’s turn to appear awkward. “Brother Ri, you should know how important this chance is. I don’t know if there will be another chance like this in the future. You also have your advantages. Your lifespan should be longer than true immortals and many emperors. There’s even a chance for you to reach the level many sought without even needing to fuse the laws.”
Xi Ri waved his hand. “Alright, alright. No one knows me better than myself. So what if I’m a merit sovereign? I’ll be weaker than many monarchs? Although the merit path is limited, it has the advantage of a long life. Besides, it doesn’t mean there’s no chance to switch. Although it’s also a helpless move, it’s better than being stuck as a merit immortal.”
“Are you talking about the Faith Path?” another man, who appeared older than Xi Ri, asked. Gu Chuan felt that the Faith Path was very suitable for him.
As long as the Xiyinet became more popular, he could rely on his fame to release some documentaries. As long as enough people believe, he could turn falsehood to reality, achieving godhood. He knew his own talent, and it was unlikely to become an immortal with his own power. Although it was a constraint, it was a small price for eternal life.
“I don’t really get you two. Isn’t a long life good enough? Although I’m stronger than the two of you now, I’ll probably die sooner,” Gan Xuehua said.
“At least you can talk about it. I’m not even sure about making it through my Immortal Ascension Heavenly Tribulation,” Gao Chushi said. Although he was honored, he was not that respected. Only people who reached the peak could enjoy the luxury of hiring an immortal chef. Although they had a high salary, the effect of their foods was still lower than pills, and they did not have hard power to protect themselves, so they had to rely on others.
Still, it wasn’t all bad. The Immortal Court noticed his talent and brought him from a lower realm and hired him. Now, he was busy cooking for all the elders and ministers.
“Me too, buddy, me too,” Gu Chuan said, finding a bosom friend in Gao Chushi.
Tianyi clapped his hands and attracted everyone’s attention. “Alright, let’s stop delaying. Since everyone is here, let’s start the first offline meeting of the Samsara Travelers Chat Group!”
