Chapter 591: Wedding eve.

Alix opened her eyes at around ten in the morning on her wedding eve, unaware of the trending news in the country. She had more important things to think about like her wedding. After waiting for so long, it had finally arrived and she was in the final countdown to walking down the aisle for real this time.

She could not express the excitement in her thudding heart verbally, there were words to explain it but all she could think of was screaming loudly.

Unable to hold back, she spread her hands out and a high pitched scream escaped her mouth. The happy scream turned into one of shock when she saw her cat. Its usually gold fur and been dyed white and then someone added blue stripes to the fluffy tail.

She lifted it with absolute horror in her eyes. "Baby, what happened to you?"

"Someone used me as a coloring book." The cat answered in a resentful voice.

Just like her, it was unsatisfied with this white fur, gold was an auspicious color, white was ordinary. It had not reacted simply because the one that turned him into an art project was none other than Wu Gang. If it was not a member of the family, Majesty would have chopped off their arms already.

"Who is that someone, is it Xiaobo?"

"Does this expert work look like it was done by that little boy with clumsy hands?" it questioned.

It’s sullen face was really funny that Alix guffawed.

"Let’s keep it for the wedding, the white matches my dress anyway. What were you up to last evening? Bi Cang told me that you vanished for a while. I have a feeling that you participated in the hunt when i told you not to. Did you disobey my orders?"

The cat averted its eyes and looked at the flowers in a vase on the bedside table.

"Majesty..." she croaked out. "Do we need to have the catnapping conversation again?"

The cat gave her an arrogant gaze, wiggled and jumped out of her arms. She sighed and got out of bed, it was her wedding eve, she had no desire to kill the joyful mood. She needed to get ready for a day of pampering at the spa and a bachelorette party that her friends were pretending not to have planned.

She had superhuman hearing, of course she ha heard everything they had in store for the night.

Alix took a bath, dressed up and left the bedroom with a plan to grab a quick bite and be driven to the spa. The house was quiet, all the boys were gone and so was Caishen.

Nanny Luo was the only human being at home and she was in the kitchen making more apple wine from the apples which had fallen off the trees at the school. The security guards regularly picked them up and brought them home. They were eaten raw, given to her family or the Zhang elders, turned into juice and excess was made into wine.

"Nanny, where is everyone?"

Nanny Luo put down the half peeled apple and smiled dotingly at Alix.

"The young master took them out for a boys day out to make sure they don’t bother you today. If he didn’t do that, Xiaobo would be on your bed playing a game already."

That was true but it would not just be Xiaobo but all her younger brothers.

"Nanny, did you enjoy my concert?"

Nanny Luo’s smile widened. "You looked just like the late madam when you were up there. If she was alive...."

Alix touched her hand and shook her head, stopping the nanny from losing herself in sad memories.

"Nanny, i am getting married tomorrow, we should only talk about good things." She sniffed her nanny, there was a baby scent coming from her. "Have you been around babies?"

Nanny Luo’s face brightened more and she nodded. "Your brother brought little peach over and asked me to watch him. I fed him and put him to sleep twenty minutes ago, i really can’t wait for you to give birth to your babies. The house will be full of babies and..."

"Aiya, i can see that i am going to fall out of favor in a few months." Alix coquettishly complained in a playful way.

Nanny Luo mercilessly pushed Alix towards the pantry. "It’s good that you know, your husband can pamper you and i will pamper the Liwu’s."

Alix turned around and chuckled. "Liwu, you too!"

Liwu as a name had really made the rounds in the family, she could not believe that even her nanny had been kidnapped into her grandfather’s Liwu cult. If she had only baby boys it was still likely that one of them would really be named Liwu.

"Go, go, i know that you are only here for something to eat. I stocked a lot of things which are supposed to be good for pregnant women."

Alix grabbed what she wanted and left the house. On the way to the spa, she finally got a chance to switch on her phone and dozens of messages poured in.

Most were from people congratulating her, a few were from those that wanted to work with her. Some were from her brothers and one was her mother asking for her location.

She replied hat she was on the way to the spa and then decided to check trending topics to see if her concert had secured the top spot.

It had not! Alix’s eyes widened when she saw the top trending three topics were not about her concert but the death of Wukong.

"Oh my God!!" she exclaimed loudly and she gasped. The news she was reading was unbelievable.

She looked at Majesty and turned the phone to him.

"Baby, do you see this? Did you suck all the luck out of him? Why is he dead out of the blue?"

"Young madam, who is dead?" Bi Cang turned his head around.

"Mo Wukong the rich man! I saw him at my concert last night and he is dead...oh my God." She shook her head and rapidly scrolled through the news.

"He died of a drug overdose last night, witnesses are already coming out to confirm the news and share testimonies about him being a habitual drug user. Apparently, he used in indulge in such things occasionally because he liked the rush." Bi Cang shared.

"Tsk, tsk, some people get a taste of money and lose their minds." Uncle Ju contributed to the conversation with his own opinion.

Wukong’s rags to riches story was already being shared on different media.

"He was such a genius investor, it’s such a shame that he is gone. His death is a loss for the world. The god of stock trading is dead, nothing in life is predictable." Bi Cang was saddened because he was a fan of Wukong.

Alix’ fiinger paused all movement at the god reference Bi Cang had used. Did Wukong consider himself a god too? It sounded too close to weather boy’s reference of himself as one. She had not witnessed the moment their systems were stripped from them but she felt this nagging sense that there was something she was missing.

"System, did you extract the wealth generation system yesterday?"
