The Young master's fake bride and her lucky system-Chapter 538: A heroic return.
Chapter 538: A heroic return.
After a few minutes of confusion and futile pleas to attempt to draw blood again with promises of being extra careful, Ning Li surrendered and left the office.
Biming wanted to escort her out but he was stopped by Caishen.
"Do not give her any unnecessary information, not even the name of the doctor. That medicine was purchased from the black market, right?"
Biming nodded. It was medicine that was on trial, not approved by any medical association and only whispered about. Of course only desperate people could get their hands on it.
"We spent a lot of money on it and even when we looked for those behind it we found nothing. Your sis Ning could end up making herself a target if she goes peeking in the wrong places. The world is not as simple as it looks Biming, keep her away from this mess."
It was the seriousness in Caishen’s voice which made Biming worry. They had briefly looked into the matter of the poisoned pills and come to a blank end before, that was what he assumed. The way his boss was talking however, maybe there was more he found on his own but didn’t share with him. freewebnoveℓ.com
Whatever it was, it had scared him and that was enough to spook Biming.
"I will tell her to stop looking right away." he rushed out of the office to stop Ning Li and deliver the warning.
Caishen immediately put the one resource he had available to him to work, his access to the bureau. There was no way they were not aware of something like this, they monitored every little abnormal thing that happened all over the world.
If rumors of miracle cures were going around, they were aware and either they didn’t care to stop it, were involved in it or had not yet discovered the culprits. Then again, they had sat back and allowed Yanfang kill all those people in the name of watching her so that she could lead them to the dark side. Who knew what they were thinking?
As someone that had once been in pain and in the same boat with the people that had been harmed by these pills, he was not going to sit by and watch such an act go on. Of what use was a system if not to deal with matters like this?
"Where do i begin?" he asked himself.
The answer came from his system. "I would suggest with the words miracle doctor honey, it’s so simple. A miracle cure comes from a miracle doctor. Aah, why do you have to be so slow?"
He went in the direction of no comment and didn’t respond to being called slow. With his system, that was nothing new anyway.
....
At around four in the afternoon, Alix finally returned to the country, and she returned a hero. It was not just because her violin concerts abroad were a success but mostly because of the paper published by professor He. In there, she had even mentioned the musical orchids and their role in soothing and calming emotions.
As the only grower of musical orchids in the world, Alix was thrust even more into the lime light. Pictures of the gardens in the school had already been shared hundreds of times.
Videos of the students in class challenging themselves to get the orchids to open up were trending along with the canaries. The peculiar music school had made national and international news.
For this reason, before she could be whisked away by Bi Cang and the other security guards, she found herself surrounded by very many fans and news ravenous reporters shouting questions at the top of their voices.
"Miss Tai, will you be putting the musical orchids on sale publicly? People are willing to pay thousands of yuan for a single plant."
"Alix, Alix, smile for the camera."
"What is your relationship with world renowned psychologists professor He? Did you pay her money to include your name as one of the researchers on her team?"
"Your father chairman Lin Qianfan has not been seen in public for many weeks now, is it true that you have locked up in a hospital so that you can take over Lin Power holdings?"
"Is it true that you are Na Sun’s daughter? Why do you play the violin instead of the piano?"
"How does it feel to be a successful concert violinist overnight?"
"Miss Alix why haven’t you and your husband done any couple interview yet? Is there something you are hiding?"
"As the oldest winner of the national violin competition do you think your win was fair since you competed with children younger than you? Do you think your age gave you a leg up on them?
"Is your family proud of you for accomplishing a miracle in the field of medicine even though it was probably a happy accident?"
"Where is Lin Billi your sister, rumor has it that you two sisters are planning a joint concert."
"Do you really think that their is a Nobel prize in your future? What will you spend the prize money on if you win?"
Alix was bombarded with so many questions that she didn’t know which ones to answers first. Most of the questions did nothing but piss her off, especially the one which referred to the violinists she defeated as children. Some of them were in their late twenties so how were they children? He made it sound like it was her against two year Olds or something.
Also the one that was asking about her marriage, was it a must for her to bare her life out to the public for gossip and judgement?
And then there was the idiot who mentioned a rumor about her and Billi planning a joint concert, in which pits of hell did he hear that from? She would rather perform with snakes and cockroaches than share a stage with Billi.
"I have no comment to every question." she answered.
Bi Cang and the other bodyguards were joined by airport security luckily and quickly she was evacuated from the mess of loud reporters and escorted to safety.
Safety was her grandfather and mother that were waiting for her with flowers and balloons and a huge congratulations on a successful tour banner. As soon as she saw them, the stress and anger dissipated and she threw herself in their arms, hugging them both at the same time. Now, it felt more like a heroic return than before.
"Are you hungry?" auntie Mo asked.
She nodded.
"Let’s go to your house, we prepared a feast for you." Auntie Mo replied.
She took all of the luggage and gave it a driver. Bi Cang and Third knife put the rest of the luggage away and Alix entered the same car as her grandmother and mother.
"How was the tour?" grandpa Tai inquired immediately.
"Wonderful, i brought surprises that you will never believe." she answered with impish glee.
She had come bearing systems and three lucky people in the family would have their own lives changed thanks to Josef Heinrich and his desire to hunt a dragon.
Above in the sky, Mantis and Maggie trailed the cars, watching the environment with care. News had already arrived that weather boy was in the country. For what reason, nobody knew but one thing was concrete and it was that trouble was brewing.
