The Young master's fake bride and her lucky system-Chapter 522: It is called self defense.

When the helicopter touched down on the grounds of a private chateau where Alix had been arranged to stay, Mantis started laughing loudly.

"I leave you alone for one day and you destroy the Heinrich castle. Seriously, we were alerted as soon as Brandt put a gun to your head and we raced to get to you but in five minutes you started a fire, took out over one hundred private guards and five system hosts and on top of that, you did that thing.....right?" she looked at Alix curiously.

Alix laughed. "Of course i did. I am just disappointed that i didn’t get enough time to explore and grab as much as i wanted. I would have stripped their walls bare if i was given twenty more minutes."

She punched Mantis lightly on the shoulder in a friendly gesture, "Thanks for the heads up Mantis, if you had not told me beforehand that the European branch of the bureau had ruled that the system hosts for entertainment business was legal, i would have been caught off guard when Brandy found me."

The system wanted to complain but it didn’t care at the moment, it had some systems to digest and others to re-write. Mantis stepped in to play the role of teaching Alix the right name.

"By Brandy do you mean Brandt Heinrich?"

"That one." Alix confirmed.

Mantis looked around and whispered, "So, did you kill them? You said that you are not willing to have blood on your hands, even if it was a righteous kill."

Alix took a second and she leaned against the helicopter, stretching her arms. "I didn’t kill them, i shot them with poisoned bullets however. They will not die but they will live in pain for the rest of their lives. The poison is untraceable and no amount of testing will detect it. In case they do eventually find out and accuse me, i will simply claim that my dragon flames have a poison quality and if they had not attacked me, i would not have brought out the flames which brought on their eventual bad luck.

I am not so sure about Brandy however, i used him as a shield and his body was hit with all of the first bullets meant for me. If he is dead, it’s their fault, not mine."

She didn’t mention the fact that Brandt had a system too, but he was like Caishen, a secret system host. He had a knight system which she of course stripped him of with the help of those little silver balls and their jelly fish legs.

Mantis grabbed her arm suddenly, leaned forward and whispered, "Whatever they ask your answer should be that you were defending yourself. Blame everything on the Heinrich’s and the bureau for failing to protect you. Threaten to walk away from the bureau because they have brought more problems into your life. Also, make sure that you looked wrong and act weak and frightened if possible. Give away as little information as possible about the events at the compound."

Alix didn’t know why Mantis was telling her this and she tilted her head to see who the people Mantis was talking about were.

It turned out to be two bureau investigators from Germany, Abby Chung and two other investigators from England.

Abby Chung didn’t waste time on pleasantries. "Mantis, if you could please get out of the way, we have to detain miss Alix for questioning."

Mantis raised her hands up as if she was surrendering and she backed away from Alix slowly.

"She is not a criminal Abby, she doesn’t need detaining."

"Considering the events that just occurred at the Heinrich family compound, our counterparts at the German bureau are not so sure. They are fighting the forest fire she started and currently air lifting unconscious members of the Heinrich family to hospitals for treatment. Most of them have burns here and there, some partially severed limbs and Brandt Heinrich is dead. Miss Alix has a lot of questions to answer." he gave them the exact list of reasons why Alix was wanted for questioning.

Alix stepped up and she was taken into the chateau where they sat around a table and she did exactly what Mantis had told her to do. She feigned fear, told them only scary stories about her encounter with Brandt, shared the threats they had made to her including cannibalism and then explained in great detail how she had pleaded and cried while a gun was put to her head and she was forced to morph.

She also claimed that she hid behind Brandt when they started shooting and his grandfather had been the one to kill him because he ordered his men to keep firing at them.

By the time she was finished with her tale of half-truths, the two investigators from Germany were being looked at like scum by the investigators from England.

The questioning took one and a half hours and it was concluded as kidnapping and self defense especially because the bureau back home shared facts about the people sent to kill her family.

"One last question miss Alix," the female investigator from the German bureau turned around. "We have just received information about Wilhelm Heinrich, his ....uhm...testicles were ripped off or sliced off. Do you know anything about this?"

Alix frowned and gasped. "Oh my gosh! what happened to them?"

She was genuinely shocked because she didn’t know that Majesty had done something to Wilhelm’s testicles. Perhaps that was his way of punishing the man for the remark he made about sampling her dragon form. But that left a question, how did the cat understand the German language?

The two investigators looked at each other wondering why she pausing the question back at them. They were not there during the five minute fight and they were still piecing things together, questioning her according to the reports they received and matching it to her story.

"So you didn’t touch his testicles..." she asked for clarification.

"Eww!." Alix made a look of disgust. "Lady that is just so gross, not even with chop sticks. In fact, even the chop sticks would snap or bend to avoid touching him."

Since she had already mentioned hearing them talking about sampling the dragon they had a clear understanding of what she meant.

Abby cleared his throat and slammed a laptop shut. "That will be enough questioning. We have been open and availed miss Alix for questioning for the sake of inter agency cooperation. You have your answers, i believe, you can go and carry out your own investigations. From what i can tell, you have allowed the Heinrich’s run rampant and allowed power to go over their heads.

You are all lucky that this ended with a fire, a few injuries and one death which is not Alix’s fault. In my opinion, she should have killed them all and put the matter to bed for all eternity.

Be reminded, while the European arm of the bureau has chosen to keep going with the old tradition of trading hosts for cash, the Asian bureau is not indulging in it anymore. Miss Alix was kidnapped and her family threatened in your territory.

The Heinrich family has to compensate her and our bureau for the waste of time and resources in this whole matter. You have two weeks to do so or our two bureaus will be going to war, those are the words of my captain."
