Chapter 510: A cursed mouth.

Alix was not sure what to feel as she stared at the black screen with the words temporary ban in capital letters and a timer that was counting down the hours to when she would be able to access the game again.

More pained than her was the system which was ripping out it’s hair that kept growing back quickly like a weed.

"I really can’t believe this, what is wrong with her? Do not play as a team with her anymore Alix, she has a cursed mouth. Every warning you have received has been because of her..."

"Stop wailing, first confirm what she was telling me. Is it true or false that we cannot bring the cores out of the game into our real worlds when we can bring out other things. Why is it that way? Are the cores as special as other players on the forum keep speculating?"

Even though she was pained about the temporary ban, Dark Death’s words were still ringing in her mind. By the death count lately, all the players together had collected millions of cores, low ranking ones and high ranking ones. If they took a few of them, what was the big deal? What were the game developers up to and were they hiding something?

Who was the one behind the game and what did they hope to achieve?

The system cut its pity party short and decided to go to work on her behalf. While Alix was kicked out temporarily, it still had access and it could monitor the progress of the other players. "Maybe the ones running the game have a special use for the cores, i don’t know yet but i will find the answers for you."

"Aah, the more i play this game the more suspicious and worried i become? Are we playing a game or doing something else?" she fell back onto the bed and sighed.

She still couldn’t shake that terrible feeling she got every time she stepped onto the fourth world. Maybe that watchful eye she thought was following them was someone keeping an eye on them to ensure that the players did not steal the cores.

Perhaps those cores were even more valuable than all the loot they were picking from killing the monsters so far.

Just like it was on the third world, most of the loot here were weapons, different weapons but most of them had radiation effects, that’s why she had not bothered to make use of them in the real world. She couldn’t even sell them as they were too dangerous.

Suddenly, a feeling of greed slithered through her heart. She wanted one of those cores more than the loot. Once again, she sat up and looked at the black screen. Looking at it just irritated her.

"Aish, Dark Death’s mouth might be really cursed."

Majesty didn’t care for Alix’s troubles and he poked the lap top screen with the claws of his left paw.

"Make it come back Alix, what have you done? There were many monsters and bad guys, why are you out of the game?"

She slapped it’s butt and carried it into her arms, cradling it against her chest.

"Let’s go, you game addicted cat. Don’t you have a shoot for your vlog today? I heard that you are going to a spa or something, lucky you, you get to be massaged and pampered while i stay at home to work and make money to feed you."

Majesty let out one more pitiful cry and rubbed his head against her neck, acting like an infant. Alix found the behavior to be very adorable and satisfactory. It made her want to lavish more love on the cat and just give him whatever he wanted.

"Ho, when you act like this i find you very cute, my baby. Should i become of those people that call themselves mommy when i carry you around?"

"You are not my mother." Majesty replied grumpily.

As she waled Alix bounced him slowly up and down as if he was an actual baby that was fussing.

"My pretty baby, mommy’s little darling. What do you want to eat today?"

Majesty raised his head brought out his tongue, his eyes formed a slit as he pondered on her question seriously for a few seconds. All the reservations he had about Alix calling herself his mother vanished.

"Shrimp, mashed potatoes and fried chicken strips. For a drink i want coconut water, the special one which you hide in the pantry not the yucky one in the fridge."

She laughed a little at the expression he made when he complained about the yucky coconut water. The only coconut water he wanted was the one from the fresh coconuts of the second world.

Alix had no idea what they would do when the games in all ten worlds were exhausted and the game ended. They would lose access to all those worlds no doubt and there were many things that she would miss.

"Baby Majesty, your palette is too spoiled. What will you do if i can’t get special coconuts anymore."

"Plant the coconut trees so that i can have my special coconut water forever. When i was living with the emperor of Cavaria, he planted coconut trees for me, raised animals whose taste is special and he regularly threw prisoners of war to me as my play things. I am a royal cat that deserves the best in life." So entitled, Majesty replied with ease.

Alix rolled her eyes and even tsked a little. The cat had been spoiled by all of it’s past owners, it seemed. She was the only one that was not providing the royal treatment it was used to.

"Actually you are, you give it other world fruit water, juice and milk. The beef jerky it loves to eat, the money you spend on it and other ways you dot on it. You treat it really well in your own way and you don’t need a palace or prisoners of war to do that. If that cat really didn’t like you, it would not be using you as it’s personal cuddle buddy."

Alix smiled and rubbed Majesty’s fur slowly as she made her way to the living room where she found her grandparents instead of her husband and the boys. It was the last day of the Christmas break nobody had made plans to visit anyone or go out. They all planned to stay inside and rest ahead of the following work day.

Grandma had brought her cat and the furry bottomless pit was already helping itself to the left over breakfast in Baby’s plate.

"That cat has grown like ten inches since i last saw it." she commented as she sat down between her grandparents. "Grandma, i recommend a diet before it eats you into poverty."

Grandma Tai laughed unbothered, "I can afford to feed my Royal, don’t worry about it. Majesty also looks fatter than when i last saw him."

"My baby is healthy, not fat." Alix corrected.

She looked from one grandparent to the other curiously. "Grandma, grandpa, i am so glad to see you. What brought on this surprise?"

Grandpa Tai cleared his throat and looked at her seriously. It seemed like he had a very serious subject to broach.
