The Young master's fake bride and her lucky system-Chapter 250 - Battle of the bosses
250: Battle of the bosses.
250: Battle of the bosses.
Early the next morning, Alix left the Tai house at the same time with chairman Tai and Tai Ho Sun, each going to work.
She didn’t go to work but rather headed to a hotel and checked into a presidential suite for absolute privacy.
There she logged into the virtual world and waited patiently for the thirty five minutes left on the timer for the final battle to begin.
She and other players showed up to the task hall because that where they had to accept the task of eliminating the dark wizard.
All the members of the different guilds had arrived, and quickly, her wandering eyes located the despicable elf.
And just as she was searching for him, so was he for her.
It was if they naturally repelled each other because he was naturally at one end of the room and she the opposite.
When their eyes met, an invisible spark sizzled in the air.
The ugly tension between them was felt by all, and the other players did not miss out on the chance to whisper.
Updates were shared on the players forum, pictures were too were taken.
Those who had not qualified would be watching from their devices just like other viewers with access to the virtual gaming world.
They could still communicate however and share their thoughts so they started picking sides on who they thought would be taking the victory home.
The bard and the elf were trending on different worlds that had access to the virtual gaming world.
Alix’s system was greatly pleased as her popularity points rapidly increased.
She had more fame on other planets than she did on earth.
If she had been living on a worthy advanced planet, she would be even more famous.
The despicable elf made a throat slitting gesture in Alix’s direction and she responded by giving him the middle finger.
If he thought that he was killing her, he was sorely mistaken.
Not only would she take the victory today, but she would also kill him and avenge herself.
In fact, she might just be so petty and give up the victory altogether and just kill him over and over again.
“Don’t let him provoke you.” Hero told her.
Alix ground her teeth and a deep growl boiled within her throat.
“I knew you two would search each other out and I placed a small bet on you.
Guild leader, kill that bastard today.
I am counting on you to make a small fortune.” A rather excited Dark death told her.
All Alix took from Dark death’s words was fortune.
It worked in drawing her attention away from the despicable elf more than Hero’s advise.
Money was a good thing, she could always use more money.
“Where can I make a fortune?” she asked the assasin.
“On your home world.” Dark death replied, so obliviously.
Just like that, her interest in the fortune acquired from betting wilted.
Her home world was not connected to the virtual network so there would be no betting and no fortune.
This was so unfair to her.
The system heard her and it scoffed.
She was the only human on a low level planet with a connection to a virtual gaming world of highly developed worlds.
How was she experiencing unfairness?
It should have been the one to complain about unfairness because this planet had not been it’s intended destination.
“You need to walk around the room so that I can secretly scan the maps of the rest of the players to get a larger picture for you.”
She didn’t need to be asked twice for her feet to start moving.
Pretentiously, Alix went around the room, introducing herself to the other players, an action which confused not just her guild members but other players.
Most confused was the elf, because she introduced herself to him, shaking his hand and smiling.
On the forum, the players were gong crazy because Alix had suddenly thrown everyone in an unexpected loophole, leaving them confused.
“What the fuck is going on with the bard?”
“Are they enemies or not?
Does anyone know what’s going on?”
“Judging from the calm smile on her face I say the battle between the two big bosses has already started.”
“Is anyone from the Badass guild active on the forum?
Why are you all silent?”
“Why is everyone acting as if this is a race between her and the elf.
The rest of us have as much of a chance at the prize as the two of them.”
“It’s a mind game, she is playing with him.”
“Or they are both playing with the viewers for popularity.
They are the highest ranked players right now after all.”
“Maybe they are in love.”
“He killed her on the first world. freewebnøvel.com
As someone that has experienced in game death I will tell you right now that friendship with the one who killed me is not a possibility.
It fucking hurts and sucks!!
That ugly orc pig smashed my head in and crushed me to death.
I experienced that pain with my real body and it was unimaginable.
I am still traumatized by the orc’s fist.”
“So her name is Alix, not the bard like some of you keep calling her and I think she is sweet.”
“I think she is up to something and I hope the elf kills her.
Come on, lets be honest.
She cheats all the time with her little music spells which distract us from actual fights.”
Alix returned to her corner of the room where the members of the Badass guild were waiting for her with many questions on their lips.
“What are you doing?” Dark death asked her.
“Is this truly a mind game?
If it is and you are messing with the elf then I like it.” Hero told her.
“Don’t trust him.” A small voice that was barely audible advised.
Their guild had a fourth member, another female that was a teenage girl.
She was a sword warrior, but her sword was not like the ones in the games Alix had played before.
It had a bigger and heavier body which made quite the contrast as it was carried around by a small girl on her back.
It sort of looked blunt because the edges were not sharp.
Alix had not seen it in action but she looked forward to it.
Alix touched the girl’s head as her mind worked full time in an attempt to recall the girl’s name.
Bichu, right, she was called Bichu.
She was only able to recall because a certain image came to her mind.
The first time she heard the name from Dark death, she had thought about Pikachu.
The girl was short, small and adorable.
She smiled at the girl and rubbed her head.
“I don’t trust him.
I was just…..hmm…..starting some drama.”
It was the first thing that came to her mind so she blurted it out.
A loud voice announced in the task hall.
“Will all qualified guilds should send their representatives to the counter to pick up their transportation locks and accept the task.”
“I will go.” Dark death darted away like lightning.
Alix looked at the timer and she smiled.
They had entered the last five minute wait and her heart picked up speed.
