The world has turned into Hell's Game, why should I stay human?!-Chapter 1176 - 734: Transformation, Angry Demon (Part 2)
Liu Zheng drew four patterns on the ground: circles, diamonds, peach flowers, and plum flowers.
"Continue."
The burly man carved the cards again.
"For the last two stone pieces, let me ask first, is it inappropriate to use dragons as patterns?"
He asked.
"Just don’t use five claws."
The burly man hesitated for a moment and said.
"Then let’s use four-clawed ones. One with horns is the Dragon King, and one without is the Dragon Prince."
"Okay."
The burly man agreed and carved the last two cards.
"Alright, now the whole deck is ready. Next, I’ll teach you how to play."
Liu Zheng started teaching from the simplest "Compare Size," "Draw the Turtle," all the way to the most complex "Upgrade," "Throwing Eggs," "Protect the Emperor."
Even though he spoke very fast and only explained the rules without practical demonstration, he still talked for almost an hour.
"Okay, this should be enough for you to play for two hundred years."
He licked his lips and said.
"I didn’t understand some parts. Can you practically demonstrate each game for us?"
The burly man said.
"I’ll do it!"
"Let me go first!"
The villagers had been itching to play and immediately clamored to try as soon as they heard about practical demonstrations.
"Screw you!"
Liu Zheng said irritably.
"I’ve been explaining for so long already, wouldn’t practical demonstrations take days?"
"It doesn’t matter, the one thing we don’t lack is time."
The burly man calmly said.
"You might not lack it, but I do. Here’s the deal: let me finish my task first, and after I return, I’ll play with you. Also, I’ll teach you the method for the 136 pieces of stone altogether."
He said.
"Your business has nothing to do with us. Teach until we’re fully learned, and then you can leave."
The burly man said.
"You people, why is it you can never get enough of taking advantage?"
Liu Zheng sighed and drew "Anger."
The anger on the blade matched the high intensity of the Sun Flame on him, but it was not enough.
"Consume all rational values to transform into ’Angry Demon.’
Liu Zheng said to the system.
"Transformation successful, duration 15 minutes."
"Rationality reduction immunity successful."
Two system prompts sounded simultaneously.
The sky was illuminated by soaring flames of anger.
Liu Zheng’s form swelled in the flames, turning into a towering figure over five meters tall.
Twelve wings grew from his back, each wing bearing twelve blazing red eyes.
On his head grew chaotic black hair like a bird’s nest, yet his face was the epitome of a meticulously carved handsome man.
Beneath Liu Zheng’s waist turned into a snake’s body, crimson scales radiating a seductive glow.
"After wasting so much of my time, have you thought about how you’ll repay me?"
He raised "Anger," which had transformed into a silver long spear, the tip dripping with dark green liquid.
"It’s just life for a life. If you can truly kill us, we’d actually be grateful to you."
Despite feeling the formidable pressure of the "Angry Demon," the burly man was unafraid.
Killing each other had been a repetitive experience, numbing them in their countless cycles of death and resurrection.
"Then prepare your gratitude."
Liu Zheng swung the spear towards the villagers, like the autumn wind sweeping away leaves.
The fire, now a mix of black and red, surged with the spear, igniting everything around.
"Stack stones into a mountain!"
The burly man shouted, transforming into a block of jade stone the height of a person.
As he gave orders, the other villagers changed into stones of varying sizes, gathering below him.
In no time, the villagers of "Geng" trigram village formed a Stone General armored and wielding a Crescent-Moon Saber.
"Clang!"
The spear collided with the saber’s tip, the immense sound echoing through the heavens and earth.
The rush of wind scattered the surrounding houses into rubble.
"When will you learn not to judge by appearances?"
Liu Zheng looked down at the single-knee kneeling Stone General, speaking lightly.
Always thinking they looked stronger and could defeat him, had they never learned the idiom "playing the pig to eat the tiger" over the years?
He raised the long spear and struck downward, creating a large pit in the ground. The Stone General struggled to support himself, but the Crescent-Moon Saber was already cracking under the strain.
Liu Zheng spread his wings, 144 eyes simultaneously unleashed red lasers, piercing through both the Crescent-Moon Saber and the Stone General.
The Stone General finally collapsed, splitting into stone fragments that reverted back into villagers, dissolving in the flames of anger.
"I said before, we can’t die."
But in the next instant, the burly man’s voice sounded again.
Liu Zheng looked back at the "Geng" trigram stone at the village entrance, with villagers emerging from the stone.
"Is this stone causing all the trickery?"
He spread his wings again, shooting lasers through the villagers once more.
Then, he suddenly flew into the air and plunged downward, with the spear’s tip aimed at the "Geng" trigram stone.
The stone and spear collided, the "Geng" trigram stone trembled violently, the massive recoil force bent the spear, and Liu Zheng himself was flung away.
"It’s rather hard. Then let’s try again!"
His 144 eyes began bleeding, and outside his twelve wings condensed twelve bloody wings.
Liu Zheng flew again, the spear’s tip conjuring countless spear shadows like falling pear blossoms.
The "Geng" trigram stone ceaselessly doubled its rebound force, trying to repel him again.
But this time, the 24 wings flapped simultaneously, forcefully halting the retreat.
Double the rebound force along with complete absence of dissipating force, Liu Zheng’s body blossomed with blood flowers under his attack, feathers scattered like fallen skies, heart-wrenching to behold.
Yet, he remained unconcerned, fighting even more ferociously.
Eventually, he simply abandoned the spear, using his fists to relentlessly pound the "Geng" trigram stone, while its recoil force grew stronger.
Blood flowed like it cost nothing from Liu Zheng’s body, forming a bloody pool around the "Geng" trigram stone.
Soon, the pool rose high enough to nearly submerge the stone.
"Is this all you got?"
He suddenly asked.
As if questioning himself, or perhaps the "Angry Demon."
The pool quivered, the sound of agitated blood seemed to mock, or rage.
"Bring it on, what are you waiting for? Does a demon care about the safety of its host?"
Liu Zheng wore a mocking smile.
With that, his body immediately fused into the blood pool.
A red serpent rose from the bloody pool, bearing twelve backward-growing wings behind.
This was the true form of the "Angry Demon," once one of the seven angels, Samael.
Legend says when God commanded angels to create life, He was the first to succeed.
Another legend claims Samael was the true culprit for Adam and Eve’s expulsion from Eden Garden.
He planted the "Tree of Wisdom," transformed into a serpent to tempt Eve to consume its fruit.
After Adam and Eve’s expulsion, Samael was banished from Heaven by God, becoming the demon symbolizing "Anger."
Simultaneously, He was one of the original four "Angels of Death."
The red serpent opened its mouth, revealing two giant fangs dripping green liquid, emitting a sweet, decaying scent.
This was the sap of the corrupted "Life Fruit," just a drop could leave all creatures in a city dead.
"Stop!"
As the red serpent was about to strike the "Geng" trigram stone, the Earth God emerged from the ground.
"You’re only appearing now, rather late, don’t you think?"
The serpent emitted Liu Zheng’s voice, colder than usual.
"There’s no help for it, we each have our duties and cannot interfere in their test on you."
The Earth God said.
"Then don’t interfere now either. Otherwise, I’ll kill you too."
The serpent coldly stated.
"No need for that. Would you consider yourself having passed this stage?"
The Earth God suggested.
"Consider myself passed? Hahaha!!!"
The serpent laughed heartily, raising its head.
"You might consider it, but I can’t. Today, everyone in this village must die, true dragon resurrection or not, I swear it."
It suddenly stopped laughing and said.
"If the True Dragon resurrects, they’ll be the first to die."
"Then cease your chatter, come death!"
The serpent bent down and bit through the "Geng" trigram stone.
