The Wicked Female Is Wild and Scheming, Living in a Love Battlefield Every Day-Chapter 411 - 314: Godsbane Mountains 2
Originally quite foolish, now even more so.
He was just about to speak when suddenly his expression changed, and his dark golden vertical pupils contracted into a thin line.
Immediately, the entire lava pool began to churn as if boiling.
"Damn it, something’s coming."
Before his words were finished, the center of the lava pool suddenly swelled up into a massive vortex, and a crimson behemoth emerged from the lava.
The splashing lava pounded against the rock walls like raindrops, making a hissing corrosive sound.
The creature resembled a giant turtle but had a dragon’s head and snake’s tail, with its back covered in sharp bone spikes, each gleaming with a chilling glow.
"Is that... a Dragon Turtle?"
Malachi Arcanus gasped, his body swaying on the withered tree, afraid of falling.
Mael Valerius’s expression was extremely grim as he frowned, "No, this is an Abyssal Flame Turtle!"
Rumored to be a primordial beast guarding the Earth’s core, capable of reversing lava flow with its breath.
The Abyssal Flame Turtle’s lantern-sized eyes locked onto the two, suddenly opening its massive maw, a blazing white beam shooting straight at Mael Valerius.
"Courting death."
Mael Valerius suddenly swung his tail in retaliation.
The Abyssal Flame Turtle swiftly dodged, baring its teeth at him.
"The Mad Dragon, this thing seems to be after you."
Malachi Arcanus chuckled mockingly, teeth bared, while hanging on the withered tree.
Though he wore a smile, his heart was in his throat, unsure if The Mad Dragon could handle this big fellow.
Mael Valerius struggled to swim in the lava, his Dragon Scales corroded and peeling: "Nonsense, it wants to devour my Dragon Essence to advance."
Malachi Arcanus hung on the withered branches, anxious and helpless, watching the chaotic battle within the lava.
...
Deep in Grolnok, a strong smell of blood lingered in the air, refusing to dissipate.
Rhys Blackwood and Zeke Veridian arrived, only to see a vacuum area that had been cleared.
The ancient trees lying in disarray vanished, the fallen boulders and bloodstains on the ground were all cleaned away.
The Tyrannosaur and Saber-toothed Tiger corpses were nowhere to be found.
The mammoth herd also disappeared without a trace, leaving no footprints.
As if they had never appeared, with no signs of battle.
Zeke Veridian’s bright green eyes scanned the surroundings, "Did we come to the wrong place? There’s nothing here."
Rhys Blackwood’s gaze likewise swept the area, deep and intense, "No, this is Grolnok. The bloody smell in the air hasn’t fully disappeared, the battle indeed took place here. But..."
He squatted down, his fingertip lightly touching the ground, "Someone has cleaned up the scene."
"Who could it be?"
Zeke Veridian muttered in confusion.
Rhys Blackwood stood up, his gaze icy and sharp: "No idea, but obviously someone doesn’t want us to know too much."
Thinking of something, he added, "Those Tyrannosaurs, Mammoths, Saber-toothed Tigers, must have been deliberately lured here, meant to put Malachi Arcanus in a deadly position."
Zeke Veridian’s face slightly changed, though he often bullied Malachi Arcanus, knowing he was so calculated against, his heart was filled with immense anger. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖
"Ha..."
A short cold laugh escaped his lips, "Better not let me find out who, or see me beat them to death."
Suddenly, the sky rang with a phoenix’s cry, a fiery red phoenix carrying Luna Sutton landed in front of them.
"You’ll never find them this way, Malachi Arcanus fell into The Endless Abyss."
Her words had barely fallen when she slid off Soren Phoenix’s back, her eyes urgently scanning her surroundings.
Soren Phoenix quickly transformed into human form, supporting her.
Rhys Blackwood and Zeke Veridian turned their heads at the sound, both their silver and green eyes filled with shock.
"The Endless Abyss?"
Zeke Veridian’s cool voice carried rare gravity, "Luna, are you sure?"
"I had a nap at noon and dreamt of it, dreamt of Malachi Arcanus and Mael Valerius in the depths of the abyss."
Luna Sutton didn’t mention the system, nor did she say it was Kian Sterling’s doing, only saying she dreamt it.
She looked at the ordinary, unchanged scene in front of her, her heart cold with laughter.
Heh... Truly a cunning old fox, to disguise the scene so perfectly, not a trace visible.
Had the system not revealed the truth, she would hardly believe Kian Sterling would do such heinous things in secret.
Even magnified by the Demon Gu’s inner desires, it was still hard to accept.
Soren Phoenix’s face slightly changed upon hearing Mael Valerius also fell, "Cousin also fell inside, what’s going on?"
Zeke Veridian and Rhys Blackwood exchanged glances, seeing confusion in each other’s eyes.
Evidently, neither had expected The Mad Dragon remained in The Lower Domain, even appearing in Grolnok and falling into The Endless Abyss with Malachi Arcanus.
Both felt something unknown had happened.
Everything hinted at weirdness and conspiracy, yet left them puzzled.
"He fell while saving Malachi Arcanus."
Luna Sutton briefly explained, with no time to care about the trio’s varying expressions.
Then she urgently called upon the system: "System, can you locate the entrance to The Endless Abyss? Do you know where it is?"
The system’s voice quickly sounded in her mind: "Host, The Endless Abyss’s entrance appears randomly without specific time or place. Kian Sterling set traps here beforehand, knowing The Endless Abyss would appear soon, thus making preparations in advance."
"However, according to ancient records, while the entrance is random, there are high-frequency spots, host can try your luck at those places."
Upon hearing this, Luna Sutton was thrilled: "Quick, tell me."
The system quickly provided a few coordinates.
She swiftly memorized them, turning to the group, "Let’s go search these places, try our luck."
Rhys Blackwood, Zeke Veridian, and Soren Phoenix looked at her confusedly, unsure where she meant to take them.
But knowing the urgency of finding them, they asked no more, and quickly left Grolnok.
Luna Sutton still rode atop Soren Phoenix, all the way heading southwest — to the Godsbane Mountains.
The system informed her that Godsbane Mountains was a high-frequency site for The Endless Abyss entrance.
