The Wicked Female Is Wild and Scheming, Living in a Love Battlefield Every Day-Chapter 404 - 310: Moving to a New Home
"This thing is perfect for making soup to nurture Luna’s body."
Kian Sterling said casually, holding the Dragon Blood Ginseng.
Though Luna Sutton had her doubts, she didn’t ask further.
Since Kian Sterling said he found it, then he found it.
None of the Beast Husbands dwelled on the matter, it was just a casual inquiry.
No one knew, it was Mael Valerius who had quietly placed it in the kitchen last night before leaving, specifically to help Luna Sutton recover.
...
After breakfast, the Beastmen of the tribe began busying themselves, gradually relocating to the blue brick houses.
Corbin Crowley, Rhys Blackwood, Kian Sterling, Zeke Veridian, Malachi Arcanus, Soren Phoenix, they also moved their belongings from the shed to the new residence.
Luna Sutton carried two small bundles, following behind.
The furniture setup in the blue brick houses was almost complete.
Each room had a sturdy large bed, simple yet elegant, just ordinary framed beds with a natural wood style.
Wardrobes, antique shelves, screens, tables and chairs, low tables, tea tables, large wooden boxes for storing bedding and clothes were all available.
Upstairs, in the two children’s rooms, two large beds were crafted for each, both topped with soft beast skins.
The little ones were still small, so squeezing together to sleep on one bed was fine.
Once they transform or grow a bit older, it wouldn’t be too late to separate their beds then.
For now, let them sleep this way.
Anyway, they’re all male cubs, not a single female cub.
Luna Sutton had to marvel at how the Beast World truly had more males than females.
Three wolf cubs, eight snake cubs were all male, no one could beat those odds.
The one in her belly, though gender unknown, was also likely male.
Unless extremely lucky, she might birth a female cub.
If she were living in Chloe Callahan’s original 21st century, who knows how many houses she’d have to prepare for her sons to get married.
And those exorbitant bride prices.
Though in the Beast World there’s no worry about building houses or bride prices, marrying wives in the future would be a dilemma.
Where to marry without women?
Sometimes she worried that the cubs might end up bachelors.
Of course, those are problems for later.
Luna Sutton quickly retracted her thoughts, glancing around.
In the middle of the main room was an eight-immortal table, its surface still showing the natural grain of the wood, and its edges were carefully rounded by Rhys Blackwood.
Placing the eight-immortal table here, it’s convenient for daily meals and hosting guests.
"Put this low couch by the window."
She directed Malachi Arcanus and Soren Phoenix in moving furniture, then suddenly noticed a dusty loom in a corner, "Rhys, move this to my room."
The man nodded silently, fetching some water to wipe off the loom’s dust, and moved it to her room.
The room next to the kitchen, initially meant for storing dried goods and grains, was now transformed into a bathroom.
A large wooden tub was placed inside, with blue bricks laid on the floor, and a drainage system set up, making it more convenient for bathing.
As for grains and oils, they could be stored in the adjoining room, after all there’s another room next door.
If needed, they could even be stored in the front yard annexe.
All furniture designs were crafted according to Luna Sutton’s sketches.
Using raw wood as the primary material, she incorporated modern simplicity with primitive charm.
The room was furnished entirely with new pieces, all crafted from raw wood, appearing cozy and natural.
This arrangement further brought out a homely feel.
"Corbin Crowley, now that the houses are built, and the beastmen are in the smelting area, the ceramics and kiln site can rest temporarily; we aren’t lacking those things now. We should prepare food for winter, since it’s almost the snow season."
Zeke Veridian placed the tea table in its designated spot, turning to Corbin Crowley as something occurred to him.
Though the warehouse had plenty of sun-dried grains, enough for a while, they still needed meat.
The tribe’s Beastmen needed to stock up food for winter; what would they eat during the snow season otherwise?
Those grains wouldn’t suffice.
Lately everyone was busy building the tribe, aside from daily supplies, there wasn’t much food stockpiled.
Corbin Crowley had just stepped out of the kitchen when he heard this, his silver eyes flickered, "Tomorrow I’ll lead a team to the northern valley, heard there’s saber-toothed tigers there, might as well clear them out."
No sooner had he finished speaking, Malachi Arcanus immediately poked his head from the second floor, yelling, "Count me in! Haven’t stretched my muscles in ages!"
His wild, unrestrained face was full of excitement.
Zeke Veridian leaned against a corridor post, sneering, "Tomorrow you head to Grolnok in the south, there’s a herd of wild rhinos there, take some beastmen from the tribe with you."
"Alright, no problem."
Malachi agreed readily, jumping straight down from the second floor.
He landed right in front of Luna Sutton, nearly giving her a heart attack.
Kian Sterling saw this and his eyes darkened slightly, immediately flicking his tail over: "You reckless oaf, always so rash. Aren’t you afraid of scaring Luna, especially when she’s pregnant?"
Malachi quickly dodged, scratching his head awkwardly, "I didn’t mean to, I wasn’t paying attention."
Thinking he might have frightened little Luna, he wasn’t sure if he scared the baby inside her too.
His heart panicked, he instantly darted to her feet, hugging her belly regretfully saying, "Sorry my baby, daddy didn’t do it on purpose, will you forgive daddy?"
Luna Sutton was both amused and exasperated; she knew Malachi’s seed really was inside her, but she had never admitted it openly.
How could Malachi be so certain that the baby inside her was his?
Corbin Crowley and Rhys Blackwood were alright, not having any particularly big reaction upon hearing this.
Kian Sterling, Zeke Veridian, and Soren Phoenix were instantly unhappy.
The baby hadn’t been born yet, how could this reckless guy be so sure it’s his?
Jade’s eyes went cold, "You sure know how to give yourself some credit."
Soren Phoenix flicked his Fiery Red Feather Robe with a sneer, "Some wolves’ skin is thicker than city walls~"
Kian Sterling’s eyes flashed with gloom, yet he smiled gently, "Malachi, being overly confident isn’t a good thing, lest you end up embarrassed later~"
Malachi was bewildered by their retorts, he just casually said a word, hadn’t he?
Whom did this provoke?
"Nonsense."
Instantly enraged, he couldn’t help but shout, "I dreamed about it, little Luna definitely has my seed inside her."
It wasn’t entirely nonsense, he indeed had a dream a few nights ago.
In the dream, two little wolf pups were happily circling around his feet.
One black and one red, fluffy, looking extremely cute, resembling a smaller version of his true form.
Although he didn’t know why he suddenly had such a dream, it felt real, and the dream was particularly clear.
Maybe The Beast God sent the dream, who knows.
"A dream? Do you think you’re Luna, also dreaming sent by The Beast God?"
Zeke lowered his eyes to sneer at him coldly.
Corbin Crowley, troubled by their argument, frowned and spoke: "Alright, stop arguing, we’ll know whose baby is in Luna’s belly once it’s born, really don’t see the point in arguing."
It’s easy to talk when you’re not in the situation.
Instantly provoked the dissatisfaction of Kian Sterling, Zeke, Malachi, Soren Phoenix, each couldn’t help but roll their eyes.
Though these words sparked dissatisfaction among the crowd, it also calmed the dispute. 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮
The crowd cooperatively chose not to mention the topic again, getting on with their work, hunting, weaving, and each busy with their own tasks.
...
Meanwhile,
Finn Arcanus was thinking about what happened last night, hurriedly found Lyle Sutton.
Lyle had just moved to his new place, at the moment was busy arranging his house.
Seeing Finn walk in, his actions halted instantly, then turned to look at him, "What’s up?"
Finn stopped in front of him, first gave a salute, then respectfully replied: "Leader, the sign above the city gate was destroyed by someone."
"Destroyed?"
Lyle frowned, his gaze immediately fixed on him, "Have you discovered who did it?"
"No."
Finn shook his head, "Last night during our patrol, we heard noises at the city gate and quickly went to check. But we didn’t find anyone, only saw a pile of wood dust in the corner, and the wooden sign hanging on the city wall was gone."
Lyle didn’t speak, pacing back and forth inside the house.
The Dragon Clan is far away in Aetheria, if they saw the sign hanging on the city wall, it wouldn’t simply be a matter of destroying the wooden sign.
They probably would have already killed their way in last night.
Destroying the wooden sign, yet leaving The Wolf Tribe untouched...
Could it be...
Besides The Mad Dragon, it’s unlikely to be anyone else.
His expression was complex as he waved his hand, "Forget it, let it go, you may leave."
Back then he hung the sign due to extreme anger, and the action was made rashly.
Thinking about it now, it was very irrational.
If The Dragon Clan really attacked, with the current power of The Wolf Tribe, they simply couldn’t resist.
Finn saw the leader didn’t mention rehanging the sign, though puzzled in his heart, he said nothing, quickly and respectfully withdrew.
