The Wicked Female Is Wild and Scheming, Living in a Love Battlefield Every Day-Chapter 339 - 273: Mining
Rhys Blackwood handed the small Beast Skin Bag to Luna Sutton, "Take a look at this."
Luna Sutton curiously opened the Beast Skin Bag and found some bright red rocks and colorful stones inside.
She immediately recognized them as red iron ore and Malachite, her eyes flickering with delight.
"Where did you find these?"
She looked up at Rhys Blackwood, excitement in her expression.
A hint of amusement flashed in Rhys Blackwood’s eyes, "I discovered them while returning from the marshes south of The Ox Tribe, passing by Aerock. I remembered you said to bring back anything unfamiliar for you to identify, so I picked a few stones to bring back."
As he spoke, his gaze fell on the stones in Luna Sutton’s hand, "Are these useful?"
Luna Sutton’s eyes brightened as if she had discovered a treasure: "Useful, of course! This is red iron ore and Malachite."
She rubbed the red iron ore in her hand, smiling as she explained, "Red iron ore can be smelted into iron, which can be used to make all kinds of tools and weapons. The knives, iron shovels, and daggers I brought out are all made of iron, and they are extremely tough."
After speaking, she lifted the colorful Malachite, "Malachite contains a high amount of copper. It can be refined into copper. With copper, we can make copper pots, copper mirrors, copper basins... even copper coins. Its use is endless, and I can’t explain all of it right now."
Corbin Crowley, Rhys Blackwood, Caelan Phoenix, and Lian Phoenix were all very pleased.
They didn’t know what copper was, but they were certainly familiar with knives, iron shovels, and daggers, which were indeed rare and valuable items.
Especially the dagger Luna had given Soren Phoenix, which could cut through iron like mud, incredibly sharp.
They were very envious at the time, but unfortunately, there was only one.
Corbin Crowley’s silver eyes glinted as he gently stroked the red iron ore in Luna Sutton’s hand with his fingertips, "Can these stones really produce iron to forge weapons as hard and sharp as daggers?"
It wasn’t that he didn’t trust Luna, but he was too shocked, almost instinctively questioning.
Leaving out other tools, the importance of weapons is almost self-evident; they can make the tribe much stronger.
"Of course."
Luna Sutton carefully stored away both types of ore and suddenly remembered something, turning to Caelan Phoenix: "Where did you find the brass block you brought back?"
This has an even higher copper content than Malachite, and it’s real brass.
A slight refinement of impurities and it becomes copper.
Caelan Phoenix was about to answer when he suddenly smelled a sweet scent, his old face turning bright red, subtly taking two steps back: "Back to the master, it was picked up by the stream below the cliff north of The Winged Tiger Tribe..."
Before he could finish speaking, Lian Phoenix suddenly started coughing violently beside him, and the two old Phoenixes exchanged a glance, moving back a few more steps in unison.
Although they were old, they were still males, feeling quite embarrassed by this scent.
At first, Luna Sutton was a bit puzzled, but she soon understood.
She was currently in heat, which would last at least a week.
These two old Phoenixes must have smelled the scent emanating from her body.
Instantly embarrassed, she dug her toes into the ground; she couldn’t possibly hide for a week, could she?
That would be too cowardly.
It’s not impossible, but she was more interested in searching for those ores right now.
These were good things for directly improving productivity and quality of life.
"Um..."
Luna Sutton touched her nose, attempting to defuse the awkward atmosphere, "Why don’t we head to Aerock right now and see if we can find more red ore and Malachite? Then we can forge more tools and weapons."
As for the cliff north of The Winged Tiger Tribe...
Considering Chloe Callahan and Pearl Vance were within The Winged Tiger Tribe, if they were to discover the brass ore, The Wolf Tribe would find it hard to mine it or keep it to themselves.
After all, those brass ores were around their tribe, so technically they belonged to The Winged Tiger Tribe.
But at this point, it doesn’t matter whose resources they are; whoever mines them owns them. Those brass ores don’t have The Winged Tiger Tribe’s name on them.
Nor was there any rule stating that the cliff belonged to The Winged Tiger Tribe; it merely was nearby.
Her gaze swept over Alan Veridian and Malachi Arcanus, busy drying the rice outside the shack.
Zeke Veridian’s emerald eyes were focused intently on the spread-out rice, his fingertips slicing remaining stalks with precise Wind Blades.
The sunlight cast fine flecks on his cool side profile and the Beast Skin clothing.
"Two more days of sun and they’ll be ready for husking."
He said without lifting his head.
Malachi Arcanus, bent with his rear up, spreading the rice to dry, snorted in response: "You pretending to act proper, Dead Bamboo? Last night, you were the one making the most—"
