The Wicked Female Is Wild and Scheming, Living in a Love Battlefield Every Day-Chapter 100: Deadly Question
Luna Sutton heard Kian Sterling’s words, and her heart skipped a beat. This fox is indeed no simple character.
He still smiled gently, but within those fox-like eyes, there was a hint of coldness.
She twitched her lips; on the surface, he seemed gentle, but inside he was a black-hearted sesame bun.
Now that Corbin Crowley was in his hands, getting any advantage might not be easy.
As she was thinking about how to deal with the current situation, she suddenly felt a chilling gaze fall upon her.
She looked up to find it was Rhys Blackwood.
His deep eyes still showed no emotion, but Luna Sutton could feel the probing and faint pressure coming from his gaze.
She felt a wave of anxiety, as the dog system’s tasks circled in her mind, leaving her unsure of how to proceed.
Before she could react, Corbin Crowley suddenly pulled her into his arms, leaving her completely stunned.
Before she could comprehend, she heard Corbin Crowley boldly declare, "From today on, she lives with me."
This statement was like a bomb, instantly causing an uproar among the crowd.
All eyes were on him, expressions looking as if they’d seen a ghost.
Everyone in the tribe knew how much Corbin Crowley disliked Luna Sutton. 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚
To avoid her, he deliberately dug his cave at the top of the mountain, knowing she was too fat to climb up.
Now, did they just hear this?
Corbin Crowley publicly announced he would live with Luna Sutton, the ugly duckling. How could they not be shocked?
Then people started discussing fervently.
"Oh my, did I hear that wrong? Why would Corbin suddenly want to live with Luna Sutton? Didn’t he hate her the most?"
"Who knows what’s going on? Perhaps they fell off a cliff together, going through life and death, developing feelings along the way."
"I think it’s possible. Otherwise, how do you explain Corbin’s change in attitude and sudden announcement to live together?"
...
Luna Sutton listened to the chatter around her, feeling speechless.
She glanced up at Corbin Crowley, noticing he seemed indifferent, as if it was all just natural.
She couldn’t help but silently complain in her heart: Has this dog-man’s brain short-circuited? Pulling a stunt like this, isn’t he just drawing hate towards me?
Sure enough, Mia’s face was twisted with dark resentment, ruining her stunning looks completely.
Looking just like an old witch from some drama.
She glared at Luna Sutton, filled with jealousy and hatred, her gaze practically shooting flames.
Screaming inside: Argh... What tricks did this ugly duckling use to make Corbin care so much about her?
If it was just that they were mates, she could still console herself, knowing Luna Sutton had a good father.
But now that Corbin announced living with her, what did it mean?
It meant he didn’t dislike Luna Sutton at all. He might even find her quite good.
Otherwise, he wouldn’t have publicly announced to live together.
Mia’s beautiful eyes turned red with anger, her long nails digging deep into her flesh without feeling pain.
How could this be? Absolutely not. It’s unacceptable, and she must find a way to sabotage it quickly.
Maya Miller stood silently in the crowd, overhearing these words, her eyes flashed with thoughts unknown.
However, her occasional glances at Luna Sutton were filled with jealousy.
Rhys Blackwood, Kian Sterling, Zeke Veridian, Malachi Arcanus, all looked at Corbin Crowley shockingly, with varied expressions and thoughts.
Their gazes kept sweeping between Luna Sutton and Corbin, even a fool could see something was up between them.
Something must have happened at the bottom of the cliff.
Only Finn Arcanus, Yuri Ashwood, and the Beastmen who followed Corbin back understood.
During those days at the bottom of the cliff, Luna Sutton happened to be in heat, and Corbin being her Beast Husband, naturally consummated with her.
Now living together back here wasn’t really surprising.
Luna Sutton glanced at Corbin Crowley, who remained calm, as if his previous words had merely been casually uttered, paying no mind to others’ reactions.
She cursed inwardly: Why act like a cold and dominant CEO? With just one sentence, you’ve directly put me on the spot.
Mia, Maya, and those females who fancied the dog-man looked like they wanted to tear her apart.
Rhys Blackwood, Kian Sterling, Zeke Veridian, Malachi Arcanus’s eyes were like searchlights, scrutinizing her from head to toe.
Just when contemplating how to handle this sudden chaos, she felt a cold aura approaching.
Looking up, she found Rhys Blackwood had walked up to her without notice, those deep eyes still masking all emotion.
But Luna Sutton felt as if his gaze contained ice from a thousand years, freezing her heart with tremors.
Rhys Blackwood didn’t look at Corbin, only keeping his eyes on Luna, and coldly asked, "Are you willing to live with him?"
When asked, Luna Sutton froze entirely.
This question might as well be a death trap!
If she said yes, Rhys Blackwood’s icy face might freeze her into a sculpture the next second, jeopardizing the task at hand.
If she said no, Corbin might pick her up and carry her off right there.
She ranted internally: "Dog system, look at the tasks you set! How am I supposed to manage this?"
The system, however, played dead at this critical moment, remaining silent.
She took a deep breath, her mind racing in an attempt to find an answer that would appease both Rhys and Corbin.
She forced an awkward yet polite smile, coughed softly: "Well... I think, the place doesn’t really matter. What’s important is our unity, right?"
Rhys’s brows furrowed slightly, clearly dissatisfied with her answer, his voice as cold as ice: "So, you do want to live with him?"
Her scalp instantly prickled, unsure of how to respond.
Why is he so persistent? Must he force her to choose between the two?
She sneaked a glance at Corbin, finding him watching her with a playful glint, seemingly waiting for her response.
Her mind made up, she was about to speak offhand.
Mason Sutton approached with a smile, saying something startling, "What’s so difficult about this? You’re all Cynthia’s Beasts, why not live together? Everyone already lives that way."
Then, looking at Kian, Zeke, and Malachi, he laughed heartily: "You guys should move in too. All of you are Cynthia’s Beasts, living separately, how does that look? Whether you’re building a new spacious cave or expanding someone’s existing one, as long as you can all fit, it’s fine, hahahaha..."
His loud voice was filled with joy, anyone could hear how pleased he was.
Mason was genuinely happy at this moment. His sister first discovered The Salt Lake, bringing back a substantial amount of salt.
For the Wolf Tribe, they wouldn’t lack salt anymore in the future.
Watching as his sister’s relationships with her beast husbands visibly improved, he was sincerely happy for her.
Luna Sutton was stupefied, almost spitting out blood.
"Wait, brother, what on earth are you talking about?"
She scrambled out of Corbin’s arms, managing to pull off a strained smile, trying to salvage the spiraling situation: "Brother, there’s no rush about this. Let’s discuss The Salt Lake first? After all, this is vital for the entire tribe’s survival!"
Finishing, she turned to Finn and the others, "What are you all standing around for? Quickly move the salt we brought back from the cliff to the communal village. The night is cold and damp, if the salt dissolves, wouldn’t all our efforts go to waste?"
