Chapter 136: Chapter 136

Princess Eleanor walked towards the door as she took a deep breath.

Soon the door opened and all the servants bowed to her. Initially, Princess Eleanor left it was odd that only she would be eating in such a huge dining room. It was just yesterday that she had arrived here and yet everyone was so helpful and kind to her but today morning there was one more person.

"Sir Kit," Princess Eleanor smiled as she looked at the man who stood beside a chair wearing a mask.

"Princess," Sir Kit’s tone was small and low as he moved one of the chairs backward, waiting for the Princess to have a seat.

Princess Eleanor smiled as her eyes glittered. "Thank you," Princess Eleanor said as he took the seat and soon her body moved. Sir Kit made sure that she was comfortable before looking at the side. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶

The servants bowed their heads as they started moving out. Princess Eleanor blinked her eyes nervously but soon she understood that maybe Sir Kit wanted to talk with her. But what made her more confused was that no one objected to leaving them alone in the room.

Princess Eleanor was nervous but when she heard Nia’s voice, "Princess, should I..." Before Nia could continue asking if she should stay back, one of the servants held her hand and pulled her outside. "Princess,"

Nia was helpless but she soon saw Sir Kit’s sharp eyes and her words were swallowed. She knew that it was not the right time to talk.

Princess Eleanor sighed as she closed her eyes. "It’s okay Nia. I have something to talk with Sir Kit,"

Soon the room was quiet. Sir Kit did not waste any time as he started serving Princess Eleanor all the things that she would like to eat. It felt like the breakfast table was specially prepared for her.

Princess Eleanor was still in a daze. It was just now that she realized how everything was prepared. The room was to her liking, even yesterday’ lunch and dinner were all her favorites, and today the breakfast. Was it just a coincidence or was it specially prepared for her a mystery?

But Princess Eleanor felt like she knew a lot about this mystery. She knew who was the one who would have given the orders. After all, he had also indirectly confessed to her last night.

Princess Eleanor looked at Sir Kit who was busy serving her. There was slight tenderness in his gaze as if he was happy with how things were playing out.

"Princess Eleanor?" Sir Kit asked when he saw Princess Eleanor not moving her spoon. He was nervous. What if the Princess did not like the food? What if she was not satisfied with the taste?

Princess Eleanor nodded her head as she started moving her spoon around, tasting everything. Her eyes moved to her side where Sir Kit sat, looking at her.

’How can he sit on the dining table with ease? As if he had been in this position for a long time.’ Princess Eleanor asked but she did not voice her question.

"Sir Kit should also start eating," Princess Eleanor’s tone was filled with many emotions but her gaze soon softened when she saw Sir Kit digging in as well.

The room was quiet but soon Princess Eleanor said, "You want to talk."

Sir Kit looked at Princess Eleanor as he placed his spoon over the plate. His gaze turned sharp as he smiled, "Yes, I found something in the letter,"

Princess Eleanor swallowed the spoonful of food. It was hard for her to do so as she felt like choking but she kept her cool and took a deep breath, preparing herself to listen to Sir Kit’s next words.

"I don’t know if it is the truth or not, anyway, I have already asked someone to check on it, but it looks like the Crown Prince and Duke Felix might be in contact with one another." Sir Kit said straightforwardly. He knew that there was no use in hiding it from Princess Eleanor at this point as she was suffering from overthinking things anyway.

"Are they in contact?" Princess Eleanor’s eyes shook as she bit her lips. "Are you sure?"

"No, As I said we need to check on it but it will take more time to confirm. The letters that are delivered to the Crown Prince directly are less and they are highly guarded. It is not an easy task to find the sender’s details." Sir Kit looked at Princess Eleanor as he saw her eyes looking down at the plate.

He could tell that she was in deep thoughts and did not know how to move ahead from the situation. Maybe she had started overthinking again. Sir Kit sighed as he said, "But they should not worry. We will find it soon,"

Princess Eleanor looked at Sir Kit when she heard his words. She smiled but it did not reach her eyes. She nodded her head, "I agree with you. It is not an easy task. But I trust you. You will find out the truth."

No one spoke after that. The room once again fell into silence. Princess Eleanor knew that the nightmare she had should not be ignored. She needed to come up with an answer soon as it would be difficult to stay here at Beaumont’s mansion for a long time.

Princess Eleanor swallowed hard as he moved her body sideways. Her hand touched her legs as she moved her hand inside the long skirt. Her fingers traced upwards through her smooth legs before a cold sensation stopped her.

Princess Eleanor’s eyes sharpened as she took a deep breath. She knew that it was time to return the thing that she had taken from Sir Kit. But it would not be a simple return.

Princess Eleanor took the dagger out and she placed it on the table. The friction between the table and metal made a striking noise which revolved loudly in the quiet room.
