Princess Eleanor smiled as she looked at the door and took a deep breath.

"Did you find it in the letters?" Princess Eleanor whispered to Nia who nodded her head. "Send me the letter’s at night. I will look through them. Now go,"

Nia listened to Princess Eleanor’s words as she nodded her head and got up from the bed. She walked towards the door and she opened it only to see a man standing outside.

Nia was silent as she looked at the person who she had seen when he was about to enter. She knew that this man was Commander Colt. The new escort that Princess Eleanor was assigned to. 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦

"Princess," Commander Colt ignored the lady who was coming outside. Even though her eyes were red and swollen due to all the crying it felt like he was not affected at all.

"Commander Colt, come inside." Princess Eleanor’s voice came from inside as the man moved inside before closing the door. "You came faster than I thought. Did you find something?"

Commander Colt nodded his head. He nodded his head as he bowed, "The two knights had received a letter from the Angevin Kingdom today."

"And what about on the day of the attack?" Princess Eleanor asked as her eyes turned sharp. She knew that the main culprit was her uncle but he could not do anything. "Did they contact the Angevin Kingdom then too?"

Commander Colt shook his head. "No, but they sent a letter to the Angevin Kingdom telling them that you will be changing the route."

Princess Eleanor was silent. She could not say that this was news to her as she already had her suspicions but listening to it was still shocking. "Anything else?"

"They received a letter today too," Commander Colt looked at Princess Eleanor who was sitting on the chair as if she had lost all interest in life. "The content of the letter is not pleasant."

"Who wrote it?" Princess Eleanor asked. Even though she had doubt in her mind regarding the situation, it was true that Princess Eleanor did not want to acknowledge it so soon. Princess Eleanor wanted to keep believing that it was her uncle who was the culprit but listening to Nia, a name popped up in her mind.

"It was from Duke Felix," Commander Colt said. "And they are not the only ones who got the letters," Commander Colt observed Princess Eleanor’s face as if he was afraid to see her reaction. "You lady in waiting also got one."

Princess Eleanor nodded her head. She tried hard to maintain an indifferent attitude. "I know. What was written in their letters?"

Commander Colt blinked as he took a deep breath, "The Duke wanted to know how you were and told the knights to stop you from coming here to the Beaumont mansion."

Princess Eleanor’s eyes sharpened. She understood why Commander Colt’s tone was not friendly. He was thinking that Duke Felix was looking down on them but it was not like that. "Was there anything written about why I should not come to the Beaumont mansion?"

Commander Colt nodded his head, "It said that the Princess is not safe here and she should go to the Royal Palace soon. And once the Royal Ball takes place they should start coming back to the Angevin Kingdom."

"Felix wants them to go back," Princess Eleanor murmured under her breath. She understood that the situation was getting more complicated.

Duke Felix was the one who had said that he would try to see that they are secure but then when the letter of their direction change was sent, they were attacked. Duke Felix was also the one who told the princess that he will try his best to let the knights accompany her in the Empire till the end, and yet he was calling them back.

’What is the real truth? What is happening? Is he involved? Did my brother doubt him because of such things?’ Princess Eleanor’s mind was a mess. She understood that the current situation was not in her favor. The road to finding all the parties involved in her family’s death was complicated.

’I am making it complicated. Felix cannot be involved in such a thing. I have known him since we were children. He is not a man who would do something so cruel.’ Princess Eleanor shook her head. ’Maybe he wants them to come back because he is worried. Even if Nia and his relationship are not worrying out but the care is still there. And Nia had decided to end it, but she still said she would continue writing. I can figure it out in the end. I will know why my brother doubted his own friend.’

Princess Eleanor looked at Commander Colt. He was a shadow knight so it is not surprising to know that he was able to see what was written in the letter. "Does Crown Prince Richard want me to move to the palace?"

Commander Colt nodded his head. "Yes, he insisted that the princess should move back to the palace soon."

Princess Eleanor’s eyes sharpened. She nodded her head as she looked at Commander Colt. "You know the escort that was assigned to me when I was coming to the Roulux Empire."

Commander Colt’s eyes sharpened when he heard it. He knew that the man was not something that anyone would be able to meet and looking at Princess Eleanor’s expression he could understand what she was about to say.

"He is a knight that belongs to the Grand Duke’s house. His name is Sir Kit. You must know him, he is strong just like you." Princess Eleanor said when she did not hear any reply from Commander Colt’s end but as soon as she said the words, Commander Colt nodded his head.

Princess Eleanor took a sigh of relief. She would not have asked Commander Colt to do anything but now she was desperate. "I want to meet him. Can you ask Sir Kit to come to my room at night?"
