The Villain's Story-Chapter 707: [] Unique Skills.
A unique skill, skills that were possessed by only one individual at a time, and possessed immense power as well. They were the epitome of all skills and had effects that could not be replicated through magic or sorcery.
They were, in a way, the most overpowered and unknown as well. Alan knew of only one Unique skill user, Morgana Cardaveres, The leader of the demonic humans and the only one with the most lethal threat rating.
She was the most fearsome among both demonic humans, humans, and demons. Not because of her mana, her intellect, her physical capabilities... But because of her unique skill.
Biokinesis, the ability to alter the biological structure of any organism to whatever the user wished through mere touch.
That skill was the only reason she was able to climb up so high, and it was not through pure luck that she had obtained such a broken skill, but it was because it was meant for her. Though Alan had never paid any attention to her, his master had.
And he remembered what Arken had said about her.
’She was interested in that kind of stuff since she was young, but the world’s a bitch, and it made her into one.’ Continue your adventure with novelbuddy
He didn’t talk about her a lot, but whenever he did, he accompanied his words with a warning.
’Never, ever engage in physical combat. Never let her touch you, even for a moment.’
It was better to heed those words, and never ever forget them. That was the power of a unique skill, there was only one known user of it on Earth.
But then again, it had to be taxing, no? If a skill offered that much...power. It should come with its own issues. Alan was unaware of the true restrictions that came with it.
"What was his unique skill?"
But that was only a mere demonic human, who never reached the other planets. Alan had never heard of her in his memories. In those worlds, while their authenticity was doubtful, there had to be something about her if her skill was that powerful.
Perhaps it never received the chance to fully bloom.
So what about Aranus? What was his unique skill? What was so powerful and important that the Abyss made a move on him when he was young? It had made no such move on Morgana as far as Alan knew.
"He received the moniker, The Dragon of Oblivion, for a reason."
"That cringe name?"

"Tell me, how many movements are there in the Chaotic Spear Technique?"
Alan paused for a moment, wondering why she had asked such a question. His brows furrowed, he answered.
"There are seven."
Seven movements, for a seven star martial art. The highest it went. However, Alan could only perform three movements. Abyssal rend, Oblivion Thrust, and Abyssal Spiral.
And even those he could not unleash at their potential, not because of his lack of understanding like the rest, but because he could not use chaos. The true power of the technique could be revealed only, only when chaos mana was used.
He had to substitute with the normal state of mana, but even then, it was a force to be reckoned with and a trump card of his.
"There are only four movements, not seven."
Alan was taken aback by her words. He opened the system, Ariel’s version, and checked it himself and confirmed it. He had thought she might have changed it, but it was still there. Furthermore, he had checked it many times, even in the old system.
There were always seven. Always.
"Abyssal Rend, Oblivion Thrust, Abyssal Spiral, and True Embodiment. There are only those. The rest are additions. Additional movements that can be used only when that accursed skill is involved.
He was feared because of his skill, Lapsus."
Alan felt sick, nauseous, as he heard the name of the skill. He heard it correctly, yet something else rang in his mind.
"End of Existence, that is what it means in dragon tongue. You have the same reaction as every other dragon. It was nothing like one could predict, even in terms of unique skills... it was extraordinary."
Her voice was grave, and Alan was eager to know the effects of [Lapsus].
"You know about fate, correct?"
Of course, he did, Lanesha mentioned it every single time without fail. He had become sick of the very word due to her. However, when Ariel mentioned it, he had an inkling of what [Lapsus] could do.
"It could sever it, sever strings of fate and completely eradicate them. He was called the dragon of oblivion... because if he ever used that skill on you, he would succeed. And if he did, no one would know of you. Your deeds, your life, everything about you would disappear.
It was true death in its worst form, death that would not be remembered, death that served no purpose. Not even the killer would remember you. You would die, and you would die without putting up a fight, without even knowing how you died."
However, she did not stop.
"The abyss had struck gold when he took Aranus. At first, its interest was only in his potential... but when he awakened his unique skill, that was when everything changed."
Alan gulped, the surrounding atmosphere had taken a turn for the worse.
"Was there no way to stop it?"
Ariel sighed.
"Perhaps there would have been, if the user was not Aranus. But then again, it was because he was the user that the skill was so terrifying."
"What were the drawbacks? Something that powerful had to be...exhausting? It had to take something to use."
If a skill was able to do that, then there had to be drawbacks. Nothing was perfect, if you wanted something you had to give something up. Alan risked becoming blind if he used [Dragon Eyes] for far too long at his young age. He risked the destruction of his body if he used the Chaotic spear too many times.
So what was it? What would be the drawbacks of using Lapsus?
