The Villain's Perspective-Chapter 60 - : Burn to death

Lucifer and Luna immediately took a defensive stance as soon as they saw the monster. Lucifer drew his short sword while Luna drew her sword from its sheath.

Both of them looked at the monster with murderous eyes.

Right after that, the monster charged towards the two of them with its arms wide open. Perhaps this monster wanted to hold them tightly so that they would burn to death due to its flame.

While Lucifer was still at a loss for what to do, Luna quickly slashed at the monster, creating a long scratch from its chest to its abdomen. But the strange thing was that this monster did not bleed at all, it immediately recovered from its wound and rushed towards Luna, who had just slashed it.

"Be careful Luna!"

Lucifer fired a bullet towards the monster's head. The monster immediately became immobile after the bullet pierced through its head. But then it quickly recovered from its wound and changed its target to Lucifer.

The monster was getting closer and closer to Lucifer. Lucifer also felt hotter as the fiery monster got nearer and nearer to him.

Lucifer clenched his short sword, preparing to stab the monster at any time.

But then, Luna suddenly appeared behind the monster and kicked it to the corner of the room. The wall at the corner of the room cracked instantly as soon as the monster hit it.

"Let's run outside! This place is too small for me to fight!"

Luna shouted and grabbed Lucifer's hand, pulling him out of the temple. Behind, the monster slowly stood up and once again charged towards the two of them. But luckily, both Lucifer and Luna had already run out of the temple.

Lucifer quickly picked up a nearby rock and threw it at the monster. And just as he had predicted, the monster immediately chased after Lucifer even though Luna was standing closer to it.

That meant the monster was only chasing the last person who attacked it.

"Do it, Luna!"

Luna immediately rushed towards the monster and slashed it in the back. The slash was long on its back but it wasn't too deep, so the monster quickly recovered itself.

It then switched its target to Luna.

"Not so fast!" Lucifer pulled out his gun and fired the last bullet at the monster.

Lucifer and Luna had come to a plan that Lucifer would be the bait and Luna would be the one to attack it while they were running out of the temple. Since Luna was much stronger than Lucifer, it was understandable that she would be the one to attack the monster.

The bullet pierced the monster's chest, and the monster instantly turned around to chase Lucifer again. But this time it seemed to be emitting even more fire.

'Oh shit...'

Lucifer started running for his life while Luna was chasing the monster, waiting for the right moment.

When the opportunity came, she moved closer to the monster than before and slashed at its back once more. Luna's slash this time was deeper, but it seemed that the monster had realized that.

When the sword had only cut about 10 cm into its back, the monster immediately turned towards Luna and kicked her away.

Luna was kicked quite a distance and ended up hitting a tree. Luna coughed up blood continuously. But what was more dangerous was that her sword was still stuck in the monster's back.

"Lucifer, give me back my sword!"

The fire monster pulled the sword out of its back and threw it away. Luckily, the sword fell near Lucifer's location. Then the monster shot towards Luna like an arrow.

"Stop!"

Lucifer hurriedly picked up the sword and chased after the monster.

He knew that he couldn't slash the monster like Luna did, so instead of slashing the monster, Lucifer decided to use the sword to smash the monster away.

As planned, the monster was sent flying away. Taking advantage of the moment when it was unconscious on the ground, Lucifer hurriedly ran towards Luna and returned the sword to her.

"Listen Luna, I think I have a plan."

"What do you mean?"

"It seems like this monster will only die if we cut off its head because other methods won't work. Furthermore, this monster has incredible reflexes, so cutting off its head is even more difficult."

"That's right, if the slash is shallow, the monster won't notice much, but if the slash is deep, the monster will immediately react."

The monster had regained consciousness from its coma. It slowly stood up, and glared at Lucifer, who was standing in front of it, with a lifeless gaze.

"Come here monster!" Lucifer shouted while gripping his short sword.

Without waiting for Lucifer to say it a second time, the monster immediately emitted a pale orange flame instead of the red flame like before.

If Lucifer's knowledge of the color of fire was correct, then pale orange flames would be many, many times hotter than red flames.

Lucifer gulped. Right now, Lucifer was very afraid and worried, but that didn't mean he would back down from this monster.

The fire monster immediately dashed towards Lucifer at a dizzying speed. But Lucifer didn't dodge it and stood still waiting for it to approach. The closer the monster got to Lucifer, the more he felt as if his body was being burned.

Finally, Lucifer and the monster were only 1 meter apart. The flames that the monster emitted were so big that it could completely engulf Lucifer. Lucifer felt very short of breath and burned, but he wouldn't give up.

Before the monster could do anything, Lucifer repeatedly punched using his fist and slashed at it using his weapon. Even when his consciousness was fading away and he couldn't breathe, Lucifer's attack speed remained the same, it even became faster.

"Die, you damn monster!"

Lucifer continuously attacked the monster so that it couldn't fight back. He continued to throw punches and shallow slashes. Although these attacks could not finish the monster off, Lucifer's purpose was only to create an opportunity for Luna.

Lucifer's clothes began to burn, he could sense the terrible heat from the fire. Lucifer could no longer respire. His body was burning, blazing so much that Lucifer thought it would be better to die.

The reason Lucifer was still standing here was because of the adrenaline being secreted in his brain.

But Lucifer's efforts and endurance were not in vain. The monster had lost its guard for a moment, it had been stopped for just a moment.

And that was enough for Lucifer.

'Here's the chance!'

Lucifer decided to bet everything on this last slash. He gripped the short sword with his charred hand and slashed at the monster's neck, his purpose was to make the slash as deep as possible.

The monster couldn't react in time to Lucifer's attack. Its head was cut off but not completely, its head was still on its neck.

But that was more than enough.

Lucifer couldn't continue anymore, he gradually lost consciousness and fell on the ground. The last thing he witnessed was his charred hand.

The moment Lucifer fell, Luna suddenly appeared from behind him. She clenched her fist and looked at the monster with loathing.

Luna didn't have time to worry about Lucifer. She couldn't miss the opportunity that Lucifer was giving her by sacrificing his body. She had to finish this monster at all costs.

Luna's fist flew towards the monster's head at the speed of light. Since the monster had not yet reconnected its head to its neck, Luna's punch successfully separated its head from its body.

The head flew straight towards the forest at an unimaginable rate. It then slammed into a nearby tree, the impact was so powerful that the tree was instantly broken in half.

The monster was defeated.
